Bullhorn, has provided inaccurate details about applicant/s.<br>Applicant/s are not given proper relief, usually 30 days<br>to correct, inaccuracies gathered by and supplied by non-profits.<br>Non-profit/s, Clearinghouse data, wrong degree/s and dates<br>remember, the disclaimer, non-profit is not responsible for errors?<br>That's just the beginning of the errors, applicant/s are not given<br>the opportunity provide actual documents to correct the errors.<br><br>The errors delay hiring, the applicant is flushed, seeking a new<br>candidate. Applicant/s offer/s are revoked, $150-180k careers,<br>so who is going to step forward and correct the Bullhorn errors?<br><br><br>
  • Well Bullhorn failed to provide portal access to correct errors gathered about applicants
  • Well Bullhorn is not properly mapped to other onboarding system/s
  • Well Bullhorn is fast, yet provides error/s gathered about applicants
  • Bullhorn is mapping to other systems is clunky, applicants complain, yet not fixed
  • Bullhorn portal fails to permit applicant/s ability to correct clearinghouse data errors gathered, so dirty data, is passed to the employer from a source not liable for errors.
  • E. College Clearinghouse - non-profit provides wrong degrees and date/s
  • discrepancies, dirty data is not corrected, and the applicate offer revoked...
  • Applicant/s are not provided the opportunity to show proof -actual degree & dates.
  • Dirty Data on applicant/s, needs to have a way to correct errors, upload the degree etc. when there are discrepancies...dirty data provided by non-profits, not liable for errors.. What if you child was turned down for a dream job, because of dirty data?
  • A single mom, just finished her degree or advancing for the next opportunity is declined because of dirty data about her degree which took her X# of yrs to complete?
Applicant/s should be given access, to review dirty data, and provide a way to upload validation to correct dirty data gathered from clearinghouse and non-profits who are not liable for errors. Bullhorn is not liable either, yet reports dirty data gathered.
Applicant/s rights need to be first before a revocation of offer...
This is a non-recommendation, as a result of dirty data gathered impacting hiring decisions.

Bullhorn ATS & CRM was implemented to help track our practicum and co-op placements and engagement opportunities with industry members.
  • Integrated CRM and ATS solution
  • Email integration
  • Dashboard reporting
  • requires quite a bit of set up - not very out of the box friendly
  • parsing was slow and not very correct
  • relationships requires lots of maintenance and was often incorrect
For smaller businesses that needs more than what the off-the-shelf ATS can offer and needs some CRM integration, Bullhorn ATS & CRM will work. There are better solutions but also cost more.

Bullhorn is used across our whole organization. Mainly, recruiters and branch managers use it. We use Bullhorn to manage our applicants and where there are in the process of being hired or interviewed. We are able to filter our applicants by using shortlists and tearsheets. Even if we don't have a position for the applicant, we can put them on a tearsheet or shortlist for future openings. We are also able to easily search for our applicants with their phone numbers or names making it easier to pull up their file. I use Bullhorn for probably 75-80% of my business functions with recruiting. I am not sure how I would manage without Bullhorn.
  • Filtering candidates
  • Locating candidates files
  • Keeping track of where everyone is in the process
  • Notes - leaving notes helps our entire company see where we are with each candidate
  • Shortlist status - it is tedius to have different notes and different shortlist status. Shortlist status do not really help me in recruiting
  • Textkernel in Bullhorn is sometimes difficult for me - too many clicks and buttons
  • I would like to see more details required in candidates files - like a resume. So many candidate come through with their name and phone number and nothing else. Takes a lot more time for us to find out what their background is than if it was just a required field when applying
Really great to use searching for candidates by name or phone number. It is harder to use when I have to filter by job posting. It just doesn't work as easy. I wish I could just click on a job, and see everyone who has applied for it. But instead I need to find the job, find the posting, and click on 3 other things to see who applied. It works great when I need to make notes on where I am at with any candidate.

We use Bullhorn CRM for recruiting and sales, we use the recruiting tools within and we use it to track our candidates from submittal to hire. It is also used for reporting, note keeping, and generating new leads. It is very effective for organization purposes but the recruiting is a bit weak in my opinion.
  • Reporting - It is very easy to track reports and look at statistics/vitals for each recruiter and salesperson within any timetable.
  • Recruiting - I think it is hard to filter through searches as each canddiate just shows the name of the candidate and their job title, highlighting is not shown when the candidate is opened up.
Bullhorn CRM is well suited for keeping track of candidates when entered into the system. It is less appropriate as the primary source for recruiting efforts.

We selected Bullhorn as an upgrade from our prior ATS, Birddog. Having used it before, I was excited for the upgrade, or so I thought. Bullhorn is not great for non-agency recruiting. The big sell was all the customization....they neglect to tell you about training and that you do it all and have no idea how. They said their customer support is amazing, which it is in theory but I unfortunately used it multiple times a day and the answers would often counter prior answers.
  • Willing to help - Many offered help.
  • Sending mass emails - great for email blasts to contacts.
  • Organizing candidates - multiple distribution lists and filters available.
  • Corporate recruiting - nothing supports a simple non-agency option for open jobs.
  • Currency - have currency options available by country vs as a customization.
  • Run through prior to launch - Customize with clients, don't just provide support once it is done incorrectly.
If you are a corporate recruiter - run. When it had broadbean it had better functionality, but to even post a job on your site it has to be customized so much, it's a nightmare.

It was used across the entire organization. Bullhorn was our ATS and we used it to post our jobs, parse candidate resumes (either by the parsing feature or manually) book interviews, enter companies, track notes, conversations, create tasks, close our hires, input splits (sales/recruitment/split commissions), generate an invoice.

Previously we used the email feature, it was our only email system, but then we merged to Outlook company wide but still used Bullhorn as our ATS. Outlook and Bullhorn would connect which made the process of parsing resumes very simple.
  • Most importantly, Bullhorn Recruitment CRM and Outlook were able to communicate, so for example, if a candidate sent a resume in an email via Outlook, we were able to directly parse the CV in Bullhorn and create the candidate's profile.
  • Another interesting feature is that we are able to parse LinkedIn profiles to get a candidate's details. This is actually interesting if you want the candidate created in Bullhorn while you wait for the actual resume. Once you get the actual CV you can directly link it to the candidate who's already created. You don't need to save the CV and then add it.
  • When it comes to client management; Bullhorn Recruitment CRM allows you to create one company and add as many contacts as you wish. You can add notes to each individual contact, create follow-up tasks and even send calendar invites via Bullhorn is you are using the email feature.
  • Although the direct candidate parsing feature is great, until you have the candidate in the Bullhorn system with their email address, the email communication won't sync up even after you enter the email address. It is simply moving froward from the time the email address was input.
  • MaxHire Solutions was acquired by Bullhorn. They have this feature where you can immediately parse via a plug-in a candidate from LinkedIn and create their profile prior to them sending you their resume. This is effective because of candidate ownership. It shows your colleagues and others using the Bullhorn system that you've started communication with a specific candidate and makes it easier to track how many contacts you've had in a given week.
It's well suited for an all-in-one concept to build business relationships and manage contacts across a company, whether it's candidate management or prospect/client management. It's less useful if a company holds different licenses from different divisions where neither can see each other's prospects/clients, which was the case when I was using Bullhorn at my previous company.

Bullhorn Applicant Tracking System is used by our Human Resources department to recruit and hire candidates. It is integrated with our website so candidates flow into the system.
  • The search feature allows you to enter multiple criteria to find candidate matches.
  • It is integrated with our website, so candidates apply online and are filtered into Bullhorn.
  • The system allows email activity to be kept in the system and notes so a detailed picture is there for all who access the candidate
  • The search feature could be enhanced to provide better, more relevant results.
  • It would be great if web responses were visible only to the req owner.
  • An auto-filter of candidates matches to the req would be a good feature.
A key question would be to ask if they plan to use the system to house all recruiting activity, including notes and emails. Bullhorn Applicant Tracking System is great to use for nationwide recruiting and searching. It also works well when integrating with the company website. I've noticed the application response is lower than when another system was used. Feedback was that it was because of the amount of steps for applicants to apply.
