Compared to using Microsoft, Jobscience is definitely more advanced and geared towards recruiting companies in general. While I think there are still ways in which JobScience can improve- I think that it definitely meets the needs of my company, a recruiting company, and serves as a "one-stop shop" for a lot of our needs - whether that be launching jobs, keeping an internal database of candidates or tracking our goals and numbers individually and as a company.

We use Jobscience to add candidates, upload resumes, and have certain fields such as Name, Location, Compensation Details, Non-compete Details, Packet highlights, and of course the Resume field, all of which are required in order to create a packet to submit to our clients. These packets are created using Conga ActionGrid, so Jobscience allows us to input all the information, and it would be great if we could create a packet directly through Jobscience, but we require Conga ActionGrid, as that is then used in Adobe PDF to create the final packet.

It's a basic database. If you just need somewhere to house company or candidate information, it's great. If you need something who has more features- good set up for sales planning, marketing- it's not the best resource. The add-ins/integrations that are offered with it such as "Daxtra" or "Insightview" drastically improve the product's services.

In addition to Jobscience we considered Talent Rover, Bullhorn, and JobDiva.

  • We eliminated JobDiva first because it was nowhere near flexible enough to support our ways of doing business.
  • Next we decided that TalentRover, despite being a powerful system that was also built on Salesforce, should no longer be considered because it wasn't as strong a contender as Jobscience, and we didn't need two Salesforce-based systems in the running.
  • Lastly, Bullhorn made it to the final round and despite the fact that its front-office product is phenomenal we had to pass on them because their back-office product was vastly inferior to what Jobscience could provide.

I have used Bullhorn, WinSearch, SendOuts, MaxHire, PCRecruiter, and, sadly, ACT as different ATSs in my career. JobScience is better than all of them. There really isn't a single thing that any of them do better than JobScience. From customization to ease of use to reporting and more, JobScience is simply better across the board. All of them were more difficult to use and less flexible, to start. And JobScience integrates easily with Outlook as well. I can't recommend JobScience enough.
