Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

My company uses Jobscience as a way to store information about potential candidates that we have talked to about certain jobs we are hiring for, in addition to candidates who are industry-related and could be a good fit for jobs we may have to fill in the future. It's one of the main ways our recruiters source for positions. We also use it to track the jobs internally that we launch from various clients. Everyone in our company uses it across all departments. It really helps to organize all of our information and data, and track previous jobs we launched, billing invoices, candidate profiles, all in 1 application.
  • Interface - Jobscience is very user-friendly and the functions my company uses are all very relevant.
  • Personalization - the ability to personalize different settings in a way that works best for you is very helpful.
  • The flow of the overall site - the way everything is set up makes sense in the order it appears.
  • Multiple users - when multiple users edit a page, it doesn't show that there is someone else on the page and it only lets one person edit which can cause the information to be lost.
  • Action grid - it is a helpful page to use however it is extremely slow and takes a long time to load and can be a bit finicky.
  • It's simple - this is is also a positive, but I also think there could be additional resources added to it to make it more up to date and advanced.
Well suited: Jobscience is really helpful when launching positions internally and tracking where we are in the application and interview process.

Less suited: Tracking candidates that have been in our database throughout the years - there is only so much information that can be saved and tracked, we usually have to update it and can't see where they started off in our database and the career progression they have made.

  • My company heavily relies on Jobscience- it's very helpful at tracking our candidates and jobs all in 1 place.
  • Reports - it helps us compare our objectives and goals to our performance and can be personalized and pull specific information.
  • Glitches - there are times when Jobscience isn't saving things properly or the format gets messed up after being saved (for example: saving resumes - sometimes they don't download properly and when you open the file from the candidate's page, the formatting is very off).
Compared to using Microsoft, Jobscience is definitely more advanced and geared towards recruiting companies in general. While I think there are still ways in which JobScience can improve- I think that it definitely meets the needs of my company, a recruiting company, and serves as a "one-stop shop" for a lot of our needs - whether that be launching jobs, keeping an internal database of candidates or tracking our goals and numbers individually and as a company.

Jobscience is the primary CRM for our company. Upper management has full access to everything, and below are the specifics for each position:
  • Recruiters use it to add candidates, upload resumes, log activity and submit candidates to positions.
  • Account Managers use it monitor the status of candidates per job orders for each client.
  • Recruiting Coordinators use it to create prospects, add contacts, delete candidate/client files and merging files and create packets for candidates.
Each user has their own dashboard that was created for them based on their priority and importance.
  • Dashboards: Jobscience allows each end user to have dashboards that are tailored for their position, and you're able to create several different dashboards.
  • ActionGrid: This is a function we use within Jobscience that allows us to filter our settings to match candidates to available positions.
  • Packets: We create packets with Jobscience via Conga that allow us to highlight crucial information for candidates.
  • Logging activity: Their simple features allow us to keep track of every candidate record from many years ago.
  • Resume: This feature allows us to see each resume for candidates. However, there are many times where we experience error messages.
  • LinkedIn: This allows us to see the candidate's LinkedIn page as well, but we receive errors messages for this as well.
  • Packets: Jobscience allows us to create packets via Conga, but sometimes there's a disconnect between Jobscience and Conga, giving us error messages.
Although Jobscience has features that could use more work, it is well suited for many scenarios, and I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues. The biggest benefit that I see with Jobscience is that, regardless of your job function, you are able to tailor the features within Jobscience, whether you are using it for sales activity or recruiting purposes.

  • Logging information: Jobscience helps us keep track of every placement we've had.
  • Prospects: Jobscience allows us to create prospects and gives us reminders to follow up with potential clients.
  • Candidate data: Jobscience has endless storage for candidate profiles, allowing us to add 40K+ resumes.
We use Jobscience to add candidates, upload resumes, and have certain fields such as Name, Location, Compensation Details, Non-compete Details, Packet highlights, and of course the Resume field, all of which are required in order to create a packet to submit to our clients. These packets are created using Conga ActionGrid, so Jobscience allows us to input all the information, and it would be great if we could create a packet directly through Jobscience, but we require Conga ActionGrid, as that is then used in Adobe PDF to create the final packet.

It is used as our primary software for our database of candidates and clients. It is used company-wide. It allows us to have a centralized location where we all can access all of the same information.
  • It is really helpful as a database. It is easy to navigate through to find information for contacts/candidates.
  • The 'List View' feature is one of my favorites. You can use this and customize it to your needs.
  • The applicant tracking system aspect of it is a great tool. You are able to monitor where each applicant is in the application/submittal/hiring process.
  • The activity tracking would be great if it included live updates. Currently, the updates are delayed by a couple of hours.
  • The task/to-do list/calendar feature needs improvement. More ways to sort and filter the pending tasks would be helpful.
  • It lacks the ability to run more reports.
I think it is best used as a database. I would like if the calendar function could work more like a task/to-do list. The external database that it is connected to also doesn't integrate as well [such as job boards].

  • It is convenient because I can see nationwide activity logged in the database from other locations in real time.
  • It's not a negative impact, just isn't as lead-generation or easy to use for candidate pool search as I would like.
It's a basic database. If you just need somewhere to house company or candidate information, it's great. If you need something who has more features- good set up for sales planning, marketing- it's not the best resource. The add-ins/integrations that are offered with it such as "Daxtra" or "Insightview" drastically improve the product's services.
