Calendly is a scheduling tool that simplifies the process of setting up appointments and meetings. Users find that Calendly makes booking appointments much easier and reduces the back-and-forth communication. With its simple and clean interface, Calendly solves the problem of scheduling consultations by providing a hassle-free experience for both users and clients. It frees up time for sales and marketing reps to focus on important tasks, automates marketing processes, and accomplishes tasks with just one click. Users appreciate that Calendly can be easily synced with Google calendar, automatically updating their schedule. This allows them to set up meetings passively and schedule times that are convenient for contacts.

Calendly is used in various scenarios, such as onboarding meetings with new customers, one-off trainings with current customers, scheduling interviews, matching applicant schedules with interviewers, and booking sales calls. It is also utilized by businesses for client calls and meeting requests. The ability to integrate with Google calendar, send reminders automatically, and customize each client session makes Calendly a preferred choice among freelance consultants. Nonprofit organizations benefit from Calendly as it reduces the need for sending back-and-forth emails when scheduling meetings. Additionally, individuals rely on Calendly to book lunch or coffee meetings effortlessly without multiple emails to find a mutually available time slot.

Calendly is widely used by Customer Experience and User Experience teams for coordinating interviews and user testing, eliminating the outdated method of manually suggesting available times. Employees across departments use Calendly to organize meeting dates, prevent overlapping in schedules, receive calendar reminders, and invite external participants from outsourced companies. Moreover, recruiters leverage Calendly to streamline the interview scheduling process for candidates. The integration with video conferencing tools like Zoom and Webex has received positive feedback from prospects and clients.

While some users have found challenges in integrating Calendly with Microsoft Office or Outlook, overall it is considered a helpful product. The free version is recommended for basic needs, and the premium features cater to those requiring advanced functionalities. Calendly's efficiency in automating scheduling, reducing backend work for appointment setters, and streamlining webinar and consulting session scheduling has made it a go-to tool for many organizations. Its ability to seamlessly set up meetings and eliminate extensive booking conversations, especially for global clients, has been highly appreciated by users.

User-Friendly Interface: Calendly is praised for its user-friendly and intuitive interface. Users appreciate the clean and simple design, making it easy to navigate and customize. The visual interface for clients is described as clutter-free and straightforward, allowing them to see available days and times without any confusion.

Customization Options: Calendly offers a wide range of customization options that users find valuable. They can easily set up appointment lengths, names, criteria, and mandatory questions according to their preferences. This allows users to gather relevant information for sales calls and streamline the scheduling process.

Integration with Google Calendar: Calendly's integration with Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCal is highly valued by users. It provides real-time updates, avoids scheduling conflicts, and seamlessly adds confirmed appointments to users' calendars.

Limited customization options: Users mentioned frustration with the lack of customization and branding options in Calendly. Some users expressed the desire to upload brand logos, assets, and use brand color codes in their profile settings.

Inability to sync with multiple calendars: The inability of Calendly to sync with more than one calendar at a time was mentioned as inconvenient for users who keep different calendars or use different calendar platforms.

Lack of flexibility in scheduling: Users found the hourly and half-hourly session-based scheduling limitation problematic, as they desired the ability to schedule in 15-minute increments even with existing bookings in adjacent time slots.

Users highly recommend Calendly for its effectiveness in scheduling meetings and its suitability for their company needs. They greatly appreciate the value they receive for the cost paid. Additionally, they advise considering alternative solutions if reminders or requesting specific information during a demo booking are necessary. These user recommendations provide valuable insights into the strengths and limitations of Calendly as a scheduling tool, making it an excellent option for simplifying meeting scheduling and meeting basic requirements.

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

We used to use Time Trade to set up appointments with our loan officers. We have found Calendly to be much easier to use. A few of our Executives used YouCanBook.me in their email signature lines but that didn't get much traction.

I tried a couple other platforms a long time ago, and I can't remember their names. Calendly was the most user-friendly and checked all the boxes for us. Calendly is also well-priced. As such, we have stuck with it and not looked elsewhere. Calendly is a great solution for pretty much any scheduling setup.

Jobvite is excellent for internal scheduling, but when it comes to doing my own personal phone interviews with candidates, Calendly does the trick. I haven't used anything else to compare against, mostly because Calendly gave me free access to play, and I never had a salesperson calling me to buy a premium version (which I bought on my own).

Calendly is also very affordable, starting at free! The Salesforce integration is beneficial for those that would like some record-keeping of their appointments, or integrate it with other processes.
I don't charge per appointments (clients are billed differently), so an Acuity-level solution wasn't necessary. I'm not sure if Acuity has a Salesforce or Zoom integration.

I didn't even evaluate other software. Internally, we were doing buy searches and externally we were using email chains which became long and hard to manage. Moreover, as our customer base grew globally, it became very hard for me to manage time zone adjustments. When I checked references, there were far in a way only positive reviews!

We looked at a few other systems. I can't recall the names offhand. However, we found that the Calendly cost vs. value proposition, plus its simplicity, made it our choice for our scheduling needs at this point in our lifecycle. Other products had aging or complex interfaces or far more than we needed.

Calendly was the first product to the market we were aware of. New copycat tools have since popped up. Previously we were using Doodle on a one-off basis to coordinate available times, or utilizing executive assistants to help coordinate scheduling. Doodle is great for scheduling a dinner party. Not so great for scheduling a half-hour meeting. Calendly completely automates this aspect of our workflow and we can now redeploy our admin assistants to other important tasks.

Although Acuity offers a cheaper solution when you are using teams and has the ability to add pictures to appointments with a nice interface. It pales in comparison to Calendly when integrating calendars, especially multiple calendar integrations.

Calendly’s interface is easy to use and simple to set-up. It seems to have a lot more features including text reminders and functions well with actually getting appointments to show up on your calendar.

Calendly is truly a unique product, and I struggle to think of a similar one on the market. If there is one, I have yet to hear about it. If you’re looking for a tool to help automate and organize your large team or client base’s tasks and schedules, this is likely the tool for you. It would be nice if there were more options on the market for competition’s sake, though.

With Calendly, it syncs with your Outlook calendar so you never have to worry about over-scheduling yourself. When I used to use Doodle you had to set everything up and manage it in Doodle's program. You had to block off times and put in a lot more work for the same result. Doodle might be better when you need to schedule days of interviewing or days of meetings but for here and there interviews I would prefer Calendly.

I tried out a lot of different products like Calendly to see if they would improve upon Google Calendar and tried out CoSchedule to see what additional help it would provide in scheduling meetings with my team. I think Calendly is definitely more easy to use with a better, more satisfying interface.

Calendly is a better option because it integrates with both our work calendars and our interview screening program, Zoom. The company seems to put a lot of time and effort making sure that it is useful and seamless across multiple platforms. We have never hand any major issue with integrating Calendly with any of our other programs.

Calendly is much more user-friendly with respect to setting aside a series of meetings in one day that are 15 minutes or such throughout the day. Doodle made you manually calculate the different time slots with buffers, Calendly sets it all up automatically with buffers in between. The text and email reminders didn't really work or exist with Doodle. The user interface of Calendly is much more user-friendly than Doodle.

I have yet to use a tool that comes close to the usability and experience that Calendly has provided my team. It is a constant within our team, and a product that requires next to zero maintenance but provides a constant return on investment because it is engrained with our client base.

We evaluated several other meeting scheduling options, including Square Appointments, HubSpot Meeting Scheduling, and others. Calendly has an attractive price point. The free version is very functional for people who only really schedule one kind of meeting. We also really like the ability to do round-robin scheduling and co-scheduling of more than one teammate.

  • Drift and Zoom
Both Drift and Zoom have calendar/scheduling functions within their technologies. Calendly has integration with Zoom, but not with Drift. Calendly is better for individual outbound or follow-up scheduling. Zoom and Drift are reactive to an inbound request. Even having Drift and Zoom, our team will never get rid of Calendly, as the tool is essential for individual bookings.
