  • Wait time for customer service could be shorter since its just not feasible to go through the entire documentation just to resolve some specific issues. Its much faster to just explain my current situation to the tech agent and both of us figure it out.
  • Very satisfied with the customer service. I have talked to some really helpful agents who are patient and willing to teach since they're really familiar with the system. Overall it has been a good experience, though the wait time could be long at times.
  • Documentation could be improved. Less technical jargon and more plain English to reach the point across would be appreciated. Not all IT admins graduate from Stanford.

  • We have a safety net that we didn't have before.
  • Key players are now backed up through an automated system that was easy to silently install.
  • The resources used impacted our exchange server negatively and slowed email until it was disabled.

  • Again, for some time, we had negative impact when they changed the notification setup. We could not get notifications for a long time. They did not inform user about the changes.
  • They modified the cloud data access method and users were not aware of this. Previously users had visibility of which data was available at their Base vault.
  • We had a disaster in one of our Hyper-v environments because of hardware failure. We could restore complete servers without any trouble or assistance with Evault. It is very easy to restore the VM level. It also take much less time.

  • While EVault can become expensive if you have a lot of data to store, but you have to keep in mind that it does not cost you anything more to restore your data in the event of an emergency. Some systems give you a great upfront cost, until you actually need to retrieve your data.

  • For a small firm, it has outsourced an important element to support our business continuity.
  • Email archiving was something we couldn't keep up with an EVault type of solution. We have more control of our file storage size than email, so we felt we were paying too much to archive spam and solicitations than important business communication. We went to a Google solution which was extremely cost effective and with more features.

  • With the reliable backups, replication to our off site data center and replication of key, critical servers to the EVault cloud, we have been able to maintain a viable business presence in all working conditions and disasters.
  • The single area where we have had some issues that cause concern is the ability of the evault cloud restore team to fulfill it's contractual obligations to restore the machines replicated to the evault cloud in a manner that allows for connectivity to those machines in a timely manner. This issue has a definite affect on our ROI and our ability to be 'open for business' in a regional disaster.

  • We only have to support one backup platform - so reduced employee time and software/hardware costs.
  • Overall works well and we don't have to spend a lot of time on it because we have little change with servers.
  • Lack of new product support has held us back on some upgrades.

  • Don't know as I'm a reseller but I've been able to restore/recover important files.
  • ROI was excellent on getting email data back from backup. It did take a lot of time but that was due to how the CIO wanted it put back in pieces since new mail was turned on before the restore happended.

  • As a Gov't supplier there are certain requirements that have to be met of which Carbonite fulfills
  • We have had the need to restore files which all have been done successfully via Carbonite backup
  • The data encryption level could be higher to satisfy customer requirement
