So far in my experience, Ceridian Dayforce is a nice system that integrates a lot of other software into one. I love that you can follow the employee life cycle. I wish the dashboards were not an additional fee because they can be really helpful to have predictive analytics.

We use Ceridian Dayforce to process payroll for 13K+ employees for Long Term Care. We are the largest Nursing Home company in Texas. We use Ceridian Dayforce for Benefits. We onboard at least 4-10 acquisitions per year. We have to track RN hours for PBJ and Telehealth.
  • Support is good
  • They help with implementation of Ceridian Dayforce with new facilities
  • They help with all of our tax issues.
  • Reporting has always been a challenge for me
  • The Ceridian Dayforce App could use upgrading / not very user friendly
Multiple site operations is easy to use.

Ceridian Dayforce is being used company-wide for about 300 locations across 12 states. We currently have roughly 1000 employees and we use payroll, benefits, WFM, and HR modules. With our prior software, our processes were not as efficient and streamlined as we wanted them to be. Dayforce allowed us to create a platform that is solving these issues as well as provide much needed transparency for our employees.
  • Provides transparency for employees
  • Allows self-service funcionality
  • Streamlines process across various modules
  • Work assignment screen are sometimes difficult to work with
  • Benefit module could be improved
Ceridian is well suited for organizations with multiple work locations because it allows for customization based on organization's need.

We use Ceridian Dayforce as our primary HRIS, including as our Recruiting ATS, Performance and for Benefits. It is user-friendly and intuitive. It allows for a high degree of customization to fit our complex needs. I love how it integrates with the Microsoft Office platform and the variety of API connections we can use to feed to our other systems. I have been impressed with their recent enhancements and excited about the additional features which they have teased as coming soon.
  • End-user experience
  • Security Controls
  • Customization
  • Easy of integrations
  • Most custom work results in additional fees
  • Mobile look and feel, feels old.
The intersection performance, development, and compensation is wonderful. It is very comprehensive and every module works seamlessly with one another. Very intuitive reporting and reliable. I don't have to worry about potentially missing the lastest states updated labor or tax laws & compliance, because they have already addressed it. Love the Microsoft interface.

We use it for payroll processing and HR. All employees use it to complete timesheets for appropriate earnings and labor distributions, that managers then review. HR sets up new hires and benefits, and payroll processes 4 pay groups bi-weekly. Performance management is now also being handled in Dayforce - also used by all managers and their employees.
  • Efficient new hire set up.
  • Easily import many lines of data for payroll processing.
  • Ceridian tax service for support with all tax payments, filings and reporting.
  • Reports sometimes use the same name - but are very different depending on where they’re run from.
  • Still, we occasionally have issues related to things missed during our original product implementation.
  • Sometimes Customer Support turnaround lags too much.
No system is perfect, and this one generally meets our needs. Perhaps understandably, Ceridian seems to focus on clients much larger than our organization. The general ledger setup seems quite cumbersome to maintain.

Ceridian Dayforce is used as a full HCM Suite that covers our core HR, Payroll, T&A and Talent process within the HR and Finance functions. Having moved from various spreadsheet, paper forms and manaual proceses, Ceridian Dayforce has enabled a one system approach for many of our processes. With almost everything in one system it provides a famailr platform irrespetive of the task at hand for our managers and employees whilst providing management information across the whole platform to support decision making and provide central oversight.
  • One system approach
  • Integration of modules with each other
  • Excellent knowledge articles and support material
  • Agency portal (for recruiting)
  • Succession Planning in very basic
  • Careers avilable via Mobile App
Well suitied to organisations who are looking to beenfit for a single solution for a variety of thier processes albeit it that many integrations are offered Ceridian Dayforce requires lots of configuartion but in my opinion, customisation in many places is very limited which can lead to a very unbranded looking application so it would be wise to consider this upfront it this is a deal breaker

We use Ceridian for recruiting, employee management, payroll, benefits, and other needs. Things are in a very user-friendly format. The recruiting feature helps HR and operations coordinate on top applicants.
  • Once you set up your parameters, the system will do what you need it to without having to repeat sets every single time.
  • We can customize items to where there are different access to different things such as time off, etc.
  • Once system alerts are set u,p the system runs in the background. The system tracks and will continue to nudge the user until it is complete.
  • Additional capabilities on the app.
  • Maybe have an error library on what to do with certain errors.
  • Spend more time with clients when implementing the product to ensure a smooth as possible transition.
When it comes to team member merit or bonus increases, ease of use!

I add features and authorization to see various fields of data to new or existing roles in Dayforce. I control what leaders can see data for their organization or the full organization. I run reports to verify data fields are complete for new hires to be paid correctly and access Dayforce. I provide requested reports to company leadership or enable certain forms and reports to be self service to employees based on approved access level (manager, HR Partner, VP, etc.)
  • Limiting data view to specific roles (Manager, VP, HR, employee views)
  • Assigning a new job to any employee
  • Changing employee pay via a structured form
  • Setting up workflows to allow multiple approvers before a final approval.
  • Reassigning a manager to an employee when the original manager resigns/ is terminated.
  • Ability to drag any field in Dayforce into a custom report.
  • Make onboarding less complicated to set up
Great product. Does require a dedicated HR Technology Specialist with time and interest to learn all the features and help company use the product to its full extent.

We are currently implementing Dayforce with the hopes of going live January 2019.
  • Dayforce is a single login system to access all portals.
  • Dayforce has an app for our employees use.
  • Dayforce will help create a better culture within our organization.
  • More options with look backs for any earnings that affect the regular rate of pay for hourly employees
  • More options for reporting on detailed labor distribution details
  • More options for entering bonuses that are not done via Excel import
We currently use HPW and feel like it has more functionality for the employer and helps us to streamline our processes exceptionally. However, Dayforce really has a much robust employee experience. This helps with the added work for those within the HR/Payroll Dept. with the loss of some of the processes that were better streamlined in HPW.

It is being used across the entire organization. We are using it for all components- payroll, workforce management, benefits, recruitment, etc.
  • Seamless integration of data
  • Training- The Ceridian Education Center has a wealth of information and courses available.
  • Availability of implementation staff by email.
  • During implementation, I believe that the ICs need to have more conversations with the clients about current processes and changes that the clients would like to make. This would help the configuration process run a lot more smoothly.
  • Communication amongst their own configuration/implementation team members- sharing documents, information, etc.
  • Share more best practices with the clients during implementation.
Dayforce will be great for our organization, especially with document management and info sharing. The profile information that moves seamlessly between module to module, and alerts and notifications to proper parties will be very helpful. This would be a challenge for anyone who does not want administrators to be privy to certain information.

We use Ceridian Dayforce for all HR operations in GardaWorld. Employees' data and pay information are managed in Dayforce. We utilize Dayforce reporting to make key decisions on employee retention strategies. Currently we have also implemented Dayforce hub as a means to enhance employee onboarding experience at GardaWorld. For an organization so big as ours Dayforce data and analytics module has been so handy in making key financial decisions.
  • Reporting
  • Recruiting
  • Managing payroll
  • Import of HR policies through SFTP
  • An option to delete incorrect balances through front end
  • Audit section to capture pay policy changes
In my experience, Ceridian Dayforce has been particularly useful in getting data based insights on employee. We utilized the O data feature to capture instant updates to reports and make important decisions.

We use Core, Pay, Ben, Time, Recruiting and Onboarding. Recently we also started using Wallet in the US. We use Ceridian for our 1095 C reporting and have several feeds with vendors
  • Wallet - we see a great adoption rate
  • Pay policies - helps us automate a lot of premiums
  • Entitlements - we are able to automate pretty much many premiums
  • Onboarding - First Time Access emails and Guided processes
  • Payroll - automatic tax authority assignments based on locations
  • Pay policies should have a "Move under" ability to avoid us clicking multiple times to move a rule
  • The ability to drag and drop form controls as opposed to having to write XML coding
  • The ability to use few more types of recurrence dates for entitlements that should be triggered on various dates that are not equally spaced
  • Dayforce should have the ability to distinctly read separate shifts on the same day.. It should not club all shifts in Timesheets.. for example, a shift that occurs in the morning , let's say employee is guaranteed their Early out.. employee leaving late in the second shift must trigger an OT outside schedule in this example.. Dayforce should not club all scheduled hours in all shifts that day to trigger this OT
  • Pay adjustments must not start at 12:00 AM, they should start at the beginning of the scheduled shift.. and if not, it should be triggered at any start time the admin chooses. Current functionality is inadequate
  • Workflow management can be much improved
Dayforce is very good for HR record management.. It could do better in Incident tracking, attendance tracking.. I believe it has a lot of room to improve in Job step policies and base rate policies. A company should be able to use both if they want to, but right now, Dayforce does not even have a dedicated column for base rate policy id in the employee employment status table. The product is pretty amazing, but it has so much potential to be perfected

Dayforce is our HRIS. We use Dayforce and Ceridian also to process our payroll.
  • Payroll
  • Timesheets
  • Performance Management
  • Their Account Receivable department is pretty stretch thin
  • Tax support
  • Professional Services are hit-and-miss
We like Dayforce. It's our core HR system that we use many modules in. Dayforce is our payroll provider and handles all of our year end reporting and ACA forms and W2s. In fact, we are a managed services client and we ask Ceridian to handle committing our payroll and benefits module.

We use Ceridian Dayforce for all of our HRIS and Payroll needs as well as timekeeping and scheduling. Using one central software is key to our success. There is no double data entry, or feeding data back and forth to try to keep all systems current. Payroll changes can be done real time and we can update employees quickly within the database.
  • Payroll tax compliance
  • Garnishments compliance
  • Communication with the customers
  • User access to different org levels based on sign in role
  • delegation to other users
Ceridian Dayforce is well suited to businesses with complex pay scenarios. The Payroll system is intuitive and can handle most issues without much oversite from the user. We also like the embedded audit reports within the payroll module and found ways to share those with the Benefits staff so they could use the reports and still maintain the integrity of the data.

Our company uses Dayforce for Payroll and Time & Attendance globally.
  • Dayforce is extremely customizable.
  • It is quick, efficient, and accurate when paying employees.
  • It has automated a number of our previously manual processes.
  • The service support model is difficult at times.
  • If you need changes to your configuration done by Ceridian, it is very costly.
  • For a global tool, you can only process payroll for an employee on one country's payroll at a time.
Dayforce is great at processing large payrolls in minutes or even seconds. There are many ways to import large amounts of data without much manual processing quickly. It connects to a variety of vendors automatically as well.

We use Ceridian Dayforce for scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, HR profile management, benefits administration, and recruiting. Ceridian Dayforce acts as our central repository of employee information, and we use it to pull employee data out of other software that we use. Being a law firm, we have a range of different employee tiers, ranging from part-time hourly workers to partners/owners of the firm, and Ceridian Dayforce allows us to manage and pay all of those different employee tiers from one system. For recruiting, it improved our talent acquisition process by moving us out of email and spreadsheets into one centralized system where we can post a job and hire candidates directly into the HR system.
  • Reporting. It has an extensive report builder with stock reports, ad-hoc reports, and the ability to build your own custom reports.
  • Payroll. The continuous payroll engine makes processing complex payrolls much easier and faster.
  • Forms. The stock forms are a great jumping off point to start creating custom forms that work better for your processes and organization.
  • Documentation. Every module is well documented, and you're always bound to learn something if you read through them properly!
  • Customer Support. They are great at innovation, but it can be frustrating trying to get support for features because they're always at high ticket volume. They have different support tiers based on your organization's size, so if you're a smaller customer, it is hard to get consistent support.
  • Functionalities are not always consistent across modules. Some areas of Ceridian Dayforce have audit capabilities to track data changes, but some don't, and it's hit or miss which features have them.
I have worked with Ceridian Dayforce in two entirely different industries, distribution, and law. In my experience with Ceridian Dayforce in the distribution industry, Ceridian Dayforce worked well because it could handle complex schedules, timesheets, and payrolls for the hourly population. In my experience with Ceridian Dayforce in the law industry, Ceridian Dayforce works well for the same reason. However, Ceridian Dayforce's scheduling and timesheet capabilities are maybe under-utilized in the law industry because it doesn't operate in such a high capacity.

We are presently wrapping up implementation for Core HCM. We had a phased approach to our implementation which has been both a blessing and a curse. Dayforce has given us the best insight in to operational concerns that need both immediate and long-term attention.
  • Providing employees with the best visibility to their records.
  • Allows for a company to house the entire employee life-cycle electronically.
  • The reporting feature is very robust though can be challenging if one does not know the back-end for advanced purposes.
  • Effective dating can cause an issue when mass importing data.
  • Retro functionality when importing time during a prior pay period.
Dayforce allows for a high level of customization though it does require the company to be "brave" and think outside the box at times. No issue is too small but proper mind-mapping should occur.

Dayforce was the first HCM system to be implemented in our association, replacing a cumbersome payroll system and many Excel spreadsheets. Key benefits were the self-service aspect, which replaced all the paper forms. We launched right before COVID and would have been unable to manage the furloughs, resignations, re-hires, and new hires without it (not to mention vaccination tracking and COVID pay). Now that we are back to "normal" operations, we are able to start implementing other modules and have recently launched dashboards and recruiting.
  • Easy to implement pay cards to replace paper checks.
  • Geofencing for clocking in and out at remote sites.
  • Great reporting capabilities.
  • Customer service has decreased since COVID.
  • More features on the mobile app, like approvals.
  • Easier interface for reports with payroll and HR data fields.
  • More autonomy to create workflow routing.
It is difficult to navigate in a complex reporting/approval process.

I use Ceridian Dayforce as part of the payroll service my organization uses. I submit my hours, request PTO, and update benefits on Dayforce. I will admit that it is not as intuitive as ADP, there is definitely a learning curve. I recommend companies having trainings when switching to this new payroll system because there will be a lot of confusion. I think the price is really what makes it worth it for organizations.
  • Updating benefits
  • PTO requests
  • training videos
  • Lots of glitches in submitting time sheets
Probably best for orgs that are on a budget.

I use Dayforce every day - we process our bi-weekly payroll, assist employees with time requests off, add new employees to Dayforce, run reports, collect data, process pay cycles, off-cycle pay cycles, etc.
  • Generates accurate reports.
  • Very user-friendly.
  • Easy to contact Dayforce support and respond in a timely manner.
  • Time off requests is finicky.
  • Balance structure.
I am only a year into my payroll career, and Dayforce has been the only payroll system I have used, but it is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I use it every day, and the Ceridian education site is a great place to watch videos on how to get things done.

We are using Ceridian Dayforce as an all-in one solution to our need to manage payroll, HR, benefits, and talent management/scouting in one place. It was brought on in order to streamline old disconnected systems.
  • Constantly rolling out upgrades and feature enhancements
  • Easy to use interface
  • Great customer support
  • Support tickets sometimes redundant and cumbersome, they rely very heavily on them to the point where sometimes the issue is easier to fix than the number of/ensuring you have the correct support ticket(s).
  • Integration with our other platforms is subpar or non-existent
  • The UI is kind of dated and lacks a visual appeal
Ceridian Dayforce is singular system that works in real-time. It is an ideal solution for a business that cannot afford the time delays of posting updates in batch format. Using Dayforce has enabled our employees to enroll in benefits entirely online, track their worked and non-worked hours, request time off, view benefits and payroll info and more only by logging in one time.

We use Ceridian Dayforce for Payroll, Recruitment, Onboarding and Performance. We have had payroll and performance since 2018 and I am going expanding on our use of the performance module this year. Onboarding and Recruitment were built out late 2022 and launched the beginning of 2023. These two modules have freed up time for our HR team with a process that is user friendly and efficient. I love it!<br>The performance module we have been using for a few years but it was set up to use at a very basic level. I am looking to expand that this year so that we have greater and more informative reviews for our employees. <br>The payroll module has changed and we have learned a lot about it over the last 5 years. Once again, the initial set up was not at the level for what we needed. Working closely with our payroll department we have made changes, revised and learned so that payroll runs a lot smoother now.
  • Support
  • User friendly
  • Difficulty finding solutions to a unique situation with the Onboarding employees
At this time I am unable to identify any specific scenarios where Ceridian Dayforce is less appropriate. We are still learning and exploring all of the modules that we have and use. As we are able to learn more I may have further comments. Ceridian Dayforce is well suited for us as far as Payroll, workforce management and, once further developed, performance.

In my job being able to look up employees' is a must. It works great for what I need it to do in my job. As an employee, I enter my PTO and time away on the calendar, it goes to my supervisor to approve. Keeps track of pay stubs and year-end forms. Able to see time clock is great
