Dayforce gives a bigger picture and ability to see scheduling and timesheets all in one place, overlooking all staff. This has impacted our ability to make decisions about scheduling because now we can see everything for all employees at the same time and make sure we have enough people both at the beginning of the day and at end of the day.

Ceridian Dayforce being a single application has allowed for increased transparency of data to our managers and HR population at large. It has allowed managers for the first time to see the interactions points of time and attendance, HR, and payroll in an easy to understand way that allows them to make the best decisions about scheduling and managing front line employees. Additionally, the advanced scheduling tools that can integrate data from external sources like your ERP can vastly improve labor efficiency and management techniques.

This has made it easy to track compensation increases and compare wages to ensure employees with the same job are making the same compensation. We really like the gender equality feature so we can make sure the females are making equal wages for the same position. The time off request manager makes it easy for managers to ensure they have the right coverage each day. The reminders when they have employees with time off makes it easy to remember who will be away at any time. The automation of so many features within Dayforce makes payroll and HR tasks so efficient and simple.

Since we are only a year in, we are still relying on old systems to reference/etc. The data transfer was not clean at all (I was not here for the implementation, thus I am unclear why this transfer is so unclean).

I make decisions A LOT faster thanks to Ceridian Dayforce. Depending on what I need, I can generate a report or go to the employee profile or schedule. Knowing how and where to find the information is my limitation. I cannot learn fast enough.

The real-time information is great because we are able to make smarter decisions and react quickly. We can quickly and easily see the impact of data changes made to an employee's profile to modules such as Payroll or Benefits. It helps us catch mistakes quickly before it's too late.

Unfortunately I can't comment extensively here. My organization is slow to change and do not use all the functions that Dayforce has to offer at this time. I can say that the Managers who use scheduling LOVE it as it was all done on paper before. They can also now see who cancels all their Monday shifts and can then not schedule that person the following term on Monday's with proof as to why they lost their shift. Compensation is through the Collective Agreement so we don't use the system to make decisions for that.

The single application providing the one user experience has had a tremendous impact on the ability to make decisions about hiring and compensation. It has not had an impact on scheduling, as that's done separately. But the impact on hiring and compensation has been very significant and very positive. It has definitely helped.

Single applications are the best and Dayforce has really done this well! By having all of the information on one site, our management team saves time. They do not have to go from program to program verifying information, checking that every employee is in every program. All of the information is right there.

Absolutely! Our performance management cycles integrate directly with our compensation cycles to ensure that our budget is distributed based upon the performance and compensation guidelines. We build in soft and hard stops to allow for flexibility as needed. We can easily view our entire organization and see where additional consideration needs to be given for those high performers. Also, we can review compensation and performance for gender pay equity.

Our senior assisted living facilities scheduling and tracking was manually tracked by spreadsheet by each manager. We have since implemented scheduling and attendance for the various nursing and food service staff in one place. Managers can now view the schedules and Time away requests, filling each open spot with active associates willing to work.

It helps save us time because the employee information is all there and it stores a lot of the information and you can instantly check someone’s pay without having to take time to run a payroll preview. Timesheet information is all there as well, whether it’s entered directly in Dayforce or being imported from another system, you can see the daily breakdown of the hours and make any necessary edits/changes to the information.

Ceridian is a system that is built for Payroll and HR and makes sense from the perspective of the user. If you are not in the system regularly then you can forget some functionality from a Manager perspective. However, the modules you have the more you will use it.
If the mobile app could be more apt for the on the go manager then it would be incredibly beneficial.

It's priceless. For example, during the hiring process, it took a full 24 hours for a new employee to be hired in our ATS, pushed to our HRIS and then pulled to our LMS. With our biggest company being a convenience store chain, we have a lot of classes and certifications that our employees have to take before they can legally be allowed to work at our store. Because of this, we found that a lot of employees were either working off the clock because they weren't in the HRIS yet or working without the proper training because they weren't able to access those classes in the LMS. Having everything in one system has streamlined our process and helped reduce our company liability.

I do not do the hiring, scheduling or compensation so I am unaware of how this impacts those aspects. I would imagine having all the information in one space instead of different programs would make things like that easier. Having all the employees schedules on hand would make finding the time gaps easier to see and fill with new staff.
