For a company as small as ours, the decision making has not really been impacted. Having access to real-time information is definitely beneficial but benefit to our organization in terms of HCM decision making has yet to be seen.

Having all information under one portal is the most efficient way to use a HR system. Employees make changes and it comes to HR for approval and within minutes their information is updated.

Compensation changes can be instant when submitted and approved.

We are able to quickly and easily see candidates. We utilize the comment boxes on applications as an efficient way to communicate with hiring managers. I like that it gets emailed to the hiring manager but the notes still are easily found in the application record.

Having job, pay, and time management in one application reduces and helps to eliminate lengthy paper processes, gives HR, Payroll and Management access to all info at their fingertips which allows for quicker decision making, ensures accurate tracking through workflows and allows employee records to be updated in the blink of any eye.

We have not utilized the Dayforce program for making those major decisions, but we need to be progressive to that point! This is where a team from Ceridian could help us optimize our application and expand our knowledge of the ways to use the program.

Having all of our employee data housed within one application provides the ultimate in data reliability around our compensation processes. It allows us to easily present management with all the necessary information required to make informed decisions around their employee base during each and every compensation schedule. This also offloads manual work of compiling this information by our HR professionals.

We are not using the HCM solution just yet. However, from the demos of the system I believe it will do all the things described in this question. We have just begun to run the payroll side of Ceridian, so we will see how the processes on this application do for us to determine if we want to continue with HR.

This is back to our reporting limits. Our users have not been satisfied with canned reports available, so we keep getting asked to build custom reports. Because we have so many customizations, including employee properties, and location properties, quick access to real time information is not the first thing our users think of when they use the system. The canned reports do provide good information, but because they don't include the custom fields we need, it still causes extra work either with a vlookup in Excel, or from a custom report needing to be created.

Being able to have the "one-record" system makes it very easy with being able to transfer easily between entities, and having real-time earnings/deductions for these employees that work at multiple locations in an overview that is easy to use.

Before Dayforce we used paper applications for our recruiting process, so everything was at a snail's pace and we were not able to report off anything. Now we can search and compare new and old applicants at the same time and have really increased our time to hire.

This feature has streamlined our process - allowing us to select and onboard new employees quickly as well as avoiding many common errors that occur with multiple record systems (mismatched records due to typos, re-hiring employees who have been let go from a previous location etc.)

For compensation, mass changes are much simpler. Changes to things like minimum wage can be rapidly effected for large numbers of employees across multiple operating companies.

We are better able to review candidates with open positions quicker and easier at the hiring manager level as well as for recruiters. We have saved time printing and emailing resumes back and forth between hiring manager and recruiter. We also have saved time in the performance management module as well with creating goals and having the manager review and edit immediately after a goal has been created or changed.

Dayforce provides us the data we need in order to make the most informed decisions when it comes to performance and compensation reviews. We can see where an employee stands compared to their peers all in one application helping to guide us to the the best choice for the individual and the company to ensure we fairly compensate employees to not only stay competitive within the market, but retain the staff that makes us great.

I'm not really involved in these processes at our organization. I do know that very few of our departments use the Scheduling feature, and I think that's a shame because it could really help some areas. I think the plan has been to slowly roll out features as our employees become accustomed to what's there, but I think there are many users that could benefit from the full suite, not just what our administrators have chosen to highlight.
