  • It's hard to say the impact on our business thus far. We have only used Dayforce for 2 payrolls. But the outlook looks promising! As soon as we get our feet wet after implementation is 100% complete we should be able to start seeing the benefits.

  • When our managers are willing to look for and use them, the reporting tools available to them are very useful. Unfortunately, the reporting still will not include a manager's indirect reports unless they are granted access to the entire location. This has been a huge bone of contention for our managers.
  • The ability to create our own topics and reports has saved us some money over our two years. Other times it has highlighted the limits imposed on us. We had more control/access from ADP with the ability to use alias in custom joins. We have struggled with these limits, and are eagerly awaiting the improvements that will give us that access back. We have had to pay for billable projects as a result of these limits, however, when we could have done the same report ourselves out of our old system. We had to pay $2500 plus for a SOX required salary rate change report we could have built ourselves in our old system, for example.

  • Dayforce has had a very positive ROI. The labor costs itself by combining programs together is in itself instead of having to pay for multiple programs, and we have barely scratched the surface of the full potential of Dayforce. We've also seen a significant paper reduction as much of our forms have gone to paperless through Dayforce.

  • There has been some employee resentment of the new system because, prior to Dayforce WFM, we came from a system of Excel timesheets (where no one was ever late because they keyed in start/end times for themselves).
  • We're using far less paper, and spending much less time scanning those documents into our eCabinet.
  • Our Open Enrollment, which had previously consisted of pages upon pages of forms, was so much easier and more efficient for the majority of our employees.

  • Paper use in the HR Department has drastically declined in the 10 months that we have been live.
  • Thanks to Doc Management, we have also been able to donate 7 (!!!) filing cabinets from our HR Department and now have a team meeting area in their place!
  • My team is now able to spend more time being strategic and actually working with our teammates instead of paper chasing or data entry.

  • Other locations within our company may have different experiences, but we have spent hours trying to get our required functionality working through the trouble ticket system, and they have spent hours replying, for issues that could be a 15-minute fix. We are told that the system is operating within normal parameters and if we want our functionality to submit it to the idea portal and hope it gets upvoted.

  • So much time saved on not doing duplicate work in multiple systems. With one employee record, the system has saved us hours. We used to have to input the same employee into the time clock system, the payroll system AND the HR system. Now it is one entry for each employee no matter how many companies they work for.
  • So much paper movement has stopped. We used to have paperwork for promotions, raises, tax documents, etc. It is now all within Dayforce. It saves time (eliminates the interoffice mail), paper costs, and filing cabinet space (let alone the labor cost of the person doing the filing.
  • The speed has improved due to it processed in the system. There is no lag time because the system is integrated. With one integrated system, you only pay for the input one time, not three.

  • Our company has seen a huge value in reduced reliance on paper and the cost of hiring contractors for assistance with the maintenance surrounding our previous manual process.
  • We have seen a reduction in overtime due to Dayforce now being quick / easy / seamless for our HRIS team. Previously, we would have employees come in on weekends and work overtime due to the heavy amount of paperwork involved in processing changes / termination and hiring new employees.
