The HR team provides our in-house support for Dayforce. They have developed some internal training documents that managers and employees can use to help with common tasks that have to be performed in Dayforce. While you don’t have to be highly technical to use or support Dayforce, my experience has been that the user interface is not intuitive AT ALL, so people need help doing basic tasks like running reports or requesting time off if they don’t do them frequently. So experience documenting tasks in easy to follow instructions would be helpful.

We have one HR Employee who manages implementing new functions and over-seeing customer support issues. We have a Finance Employee whose job it is to oversee new version implementations, correct implementation errors, and manage system changes by using the test software and moving changes and corrections to our production environment.

It takes individuals with some patience. Dayforce is progressing rapidly however there are many Kinks currently being worked out as a result of the progression. For the most part the application is pretty user-friendly however a Keen Eye for recognizing inconsistencies with data helps.

Our internal support includes IT and a core power user. Everything else is supported through Ceridian directly and their support team. We do not have an HRIS manger. The IT manages that time clocks and the hardware that is in our centers for employee use. The power user manages everything else and takes care of any software changes that can be made in house.

We have a HRIS manager and the payroll manager who are well diverse in the software and support it on an ongoing basis. In order to support it the admins need to take a lot of training and really understand the system. They must be organized and good problem solvers.

The type of people that are required to suppport Ceridian Dayforce is our Human Resource team and Controller. Out Human Resource team is the prime support team for Dayforce but our Controller can back up the Human Resource team and help with anything. The main person that does deal with all of the Dayforce support is our Human Resource Generalist.

At our company we have a dedicated person in the HR department for Dayforce. This inlcudes everything from helping managers and employee with any individual needs, running reports for analysis, and making updates to Dayforce and any new modules we may wanto upgrade or introduce in the near future. This person has an educational background in HR and IT, which help by allowing them to know how the HR policies should be implemented and how to make the system do those things.
