Emburse Chrome River

The sytsem is very user friendly and has so many flexible ways to customize. The users have been able to navigate within the application since it works well within mobile devices.

I have some personal hesitation when trusting AI (just because I don't know if it will always do what I want it to do), but the AI that Chrome River uses seems to be fairly robust. I like the idea of the AI reading the receipt and filling in information. Moreover, the platform seems to be user friendly and hasn't presented many problems (unlike Comdata).

I think it is a great product, easy to use, modern feeling, and dependable.

I give Chrome River a 9 rating because I really like the program; however, being the administrator I work a lot on setting up the routing rules and that is my least favorite piece of the program. It can be very time consuming working with CR Support to set up the routing correctly. Other than that, all the other functions of the program are really good. I must also mention that they are always making modifications and adding new features that we can and will actually use.

Chrome River has been a great addition to our company's expense reporting procedure. We are able to utilize the data it collects for reporting and capturing expenses at month-end for journal entries if needed. I give Chrome River a 9 for overall user experience because it is a definite improvement over the paper process we previously had in place; however, there are some areas that could use some improvement, such as the OCR tool for receipts. Having said that, I will add that even if a receipt is incorrectly read by the OCR tool, changing the data is very easy for the user to do.

The system is simple for our users to learn and navigate. The only reason I did not give a 10 is from an administrative perspective pertaining to the lagging when viewing additional reports as they load. I feel the system is very user friendly and have heard positive feedback regarding our upgrade to Mercury.

Chrome River has been a successful product, both for the end users and also for Finance - it provides a lot of flexibility where policy changes, requirements change or where demand changes.
Our next steps are global rollout which will be interesting to see how Chrome River handles the demand across multiple regions in a single streamlined solution - so far so good covering the UK at go-live and the Asia Pacific region soon after, with mind to expand further.

It is very intuitive for all users. Even users that have never utilized an expense reporting system, as their admins handled it for them, have been able to easily adapt to utilizing Chrome River expense reporting.

I gave it this rating because it is a great system, with a very user-friendly interface.

The ease of navigating through the application all depends on how tech-savvy a user is. From the initial response, first-time users found it either great or difficult. As for approvers, the feedback on 'ease of use' was more positive.

There is room for improvement but I think this company has the best products on the market, along with strategic partnerships through its parent company, Emburse.

We do like the snap feature for capturing receipts, but some features carry over multiple times and that's to help, but it just makes another field that should be updated instead. This is in reference to the business purpose that carries from the expense report to each individual expense item.

There have been some difficulties in the past with Travel Data in the past that did cause a lot of extra work so we moved away from the travel data feed. Since moving off of travel data things have run a lot more smoothly for us.

As the manager of L&D this is a 10 for me.

The user experience is the same whether logging in from your computer, tablet, or phone. The SNAP app also allows for an easy way to capture and upload receipts at the time of purchase. We receive compliments on the ease of use for users all the time.

It is highly intuitive for users, however approvers had difficulty with the email approval route and Chrome River EXPENSE wanted so much information from us to even attempt to address the issue, it was less beneficial to wage that battle than it was to suggest to managers who experienced this issue to use the manual approval options in the system.

User adoption will take a little time as this is completely different from our previous system. However, the system is intuitive enough to make the learning curve rather flat.

The application is intuitive for both users and reviewers. In addition, Chrome River EXPENSE offers a Walkthrough function that makes it very easy for users to learn the system. The system seems designed to keep pace with current technology trends, such as drag and drop, OCR, importing receipts through cellphones.

It's pretty easy to use. There are a couple of things that are a bit counter-intuitive and that I needed help with but, for the most part, it's a great program.

There are some quirks with the new Mercury platform where the screens could be more organized, easier to navigate, less clicks, faster transitions between screens, and for more advanced users, the advanced settings could be easier to use.

Going from a paper process to the automated Chrome River EXPENSE routing tracking and approval has been a great success in our organization.

CR EXPENSE's overall user experience should be a pleasant one. We brought in a small test group, sat them down at the computer with a travel scenario and let them intuitively navigate through the system and submit reports. We observed, took notes and gathered feedback from the test group. We were pleasantly surprised at how well they were able to complete the assignments and the positive feedback. The overall user experience rating is 8. The pilot group consisted of quick learners and a few slower ones. We tried to exhibit excitement and confidence in the product which I am certain helped the test group's acceptance of the product. They all appeared to be happy with the system and the food we fed them.

For the most part, Chrome River is really easy to use. I think sometimes end users struggle a little due to the nature of our companies business processes.

Application looks really good, the design is tremendous. Employees love the colors, icons, interface. Creating the report and approving it is really easy, process is smooth and simple. Users are happy with the product. Each month we are receiving a lost of upgrades and enhancements - tool is constantly developing and providing better functionalities.

We don't use the mobile app but when we train users on how to use the system, the feedback that we receive is that Chrome River is very intuitive once they create their first expense report. They almost never come back for refresher training after that, which speaks to the ease of use.
