Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cisco BE6000 is used in my organization to address our collaboration Deployment. The BE6000M supports 1000 users, 1200 devices, and 100 contact center agents. BE6000M is ideal for medium-scale deployment, but also there are other BE that support it, such as BE6000H and BE6000S, that are set for medium and small deployments.

Pros

Call Control.
Messaging - Cisco Unity Connection.
IM and Presence with Cisco Jabber.

Cons

Cisco subscription package can be costly.
Updates take a lot of time.
Preconfigured RAID.

Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) is well suited on small and medium sites that need entry-level voice and IP telephony capabilities, together

with powerful, easy-to-use collaboration tools. However , if a single user interface or VMware servers are deal breakers for you, I suggest another call system will likely be a better fit.

First we had problems since the company headquarters was not in the country and we needed to be often in calls for indications from abroad so we met Cisco business edition which is the product with many integrations that are needed and modern with few steps to be able to adjust to the needs that we had.

It is suitable because it is very modern and in line with the employees and its uses such as videoconferences, the contact center and other main uses homogenize the work because of its connectivity and ease of use in different regions, the business has improved significantly since the program was implemented in the areas.

We use the Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) in our organization to provide VOIP phone services to all internal staff. Phones are located in several offices scattered across our WAN network and in many geographic locations in Canada. The list of services this system runs include: call manager, unity (voicemail), instant messaging and presence, expressway, paging, voice call recording and phone deployment services.

Pros

provides phone support for many models of phones and conferencing devices
provides full telephony support for pretty much any phone requirement including call centre options
911 service dialing options and tracking
bundle pricing on voice, phone and server licensing

Cons

requirements gathering is complex and requires cisco sales to help
administration and support is very technical and complex
out of box setup and time consuming and difficult
systems integration is very complex and requires specific skills

Likelihood to Recommend

Businesses in the 200+ staff (and/or handsets) and more is where this shines. Very scalable and pretty straight forward to manage once running. Does have a significant learning curve for administration but organizations this size usually have skilled staff on house.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Cisco Business Edition 6000 (BE6000) solution innovated our telephony system three years ago where we migrated from analog and digital telephony to IP telephony and also added new unified communications services such as chat, voice, video, and presence to be used in IP phones and computers. The solution improved the telephony and videoconferencing systems used by the company and was easily deployed in our data center. Call costs with the BE6000 have become much lower, and now you make calls to other branches for free.

Pros

Smarter and more economical telephone system.
Deployed on a Cisco UCS server.
Easy and centralized management.
Unified communications with chat, voice and video for all users.
Telephone support in Portuguese with Cisco.

Cons

A little complicated to install softphone on macbook.
It does not support for more than 1200 devices.

I recommend Cisco Business Edition 6000 for scenarios of up to 1200 devices and 1000 users. It's ok for us because we have 800 users, and there are still a lot of licenses left. The Cisco Business Edition 6000 solution is implemented in our data center with redundancy to avoid any downtime. We use messaging, voice, and video features on phones and softphones installed on corporate computers. We have access from anywhere and anytime.

We use the Cisco BE6K solution as our enterprise telephony platform for our offices across the region. We predominantly use CUCM, CIMP, and UCCX applications. For our remote users, we use Cisco Jabber as the endpoint, on Windows and Android. We have also integrated our [Cisco] BE6K solution with Microsoft Teams in order to use the Cisco Webex endpoints we have on Teams meetings.

Include tools for inter-cluster migration, currently these are provided by 3rd parties
Improve the software upgrade process by automating the pre-upgrade and post-upgrade checks

The Cisco BE6K solution is probably the best collaboration platform out there at the moment. Starting from application deployment using Prime Collaboration Deployment to [the] integration of the on-premises platform with cloud services, deployment, and administration [is] a breeze. The tight integration with Cisco endpoints and the ability to individually manage them also helps to ensure an unparalleled user experience. With Cisco CSR 14, administrative tasks like software upgrades and user onboarding have been made simpler. More could be done though to improve those 2 areas.

The pricing are high and worth for small organization as well.

The many features and functions are simple to grasp, and customer service is always quick and helpful. It is Ideal for a big contact center with 50 or more workers taking calls. With this arrangement, which includes telephone gear on each workstation, you'll have a clearer and better connection no matter where you are. It has a consistent connection, resulting in better call quality with each client engagement.

The solution is IP Telephony, but it is also video conferencing, instant messaging, presence, and mobility. All this in just one hardware.

Pros

The entire deployment timelines are fairly simple and easy.
It is an all in one solution that solves complex communication challenges for business[es].
Very powerful, with call processing, voicemail, as well as mobility services all on one platform.

Cons

Some Contact center functionality are not available.
All of the applications are managed separately, so it can be a challenge to learn and manage.
