Well Suited, here:

STP and election of Root Bridge is a good OS level development.
VLAN separation.
To avoid Infinite Frame Forwarding or Broadcast Storming using STP(Spanning Tree Protocol).
User-Friendly CLI and IOS Interface.

Less Appropriate, here:

In Connecting more than 24 clients, because of limited 24 ports.
To make the unused port blocked, the port remains blocked until the Switch get's restarted back. So to avoid the Sniff in an unused port, there should be some Administrative access to unblock a port without shutting down the entire Switch CISCO Catalyst 2900.

2960-L switchs series are definitely well suited for access switches purpose inside a campus.
They are the perfect candidate for Layer 2 access, provide different VLANs across building. You can configure port-channel for uplinks and you can provide PoE to the Access Points (notice that not all of them are supported because of PoE limitation).

The [Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches] are great switches for basic routing/switching. If you need a core for your campus, or even distribution layer switches, I would look elsewhere. These are great switches for user switches, printers, access points, etc. Also, this switch would be good to use as a WAN switch upstream of routers/firewalls.

If you are looking for ease of use and future-proof network switches with strong software architecture Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches are a very good choice. They work well with small startups, as they are easy and very fast to configure. The main downside is that the licensing of the product can be a little pricy for startups.

Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches are well suited if you need to connect a devices that support PoE--that is one of the capabilities that makes the difference between these and other solutions on the market. Also if you have a remote office or need to connect access points or IP phones, they work work excellently. Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches give you the ability to configure your switches very quickly in case you need to add more or expand your network

Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches are well suited in areas where you may need multiple switches. They have the ability to stack, which is nice because essentially you just need to configure once switch and the rest get their config from the master. We have not found a scenario where we've needed a switch and not gone with a Cisco Catalyst.

If I have to deploy VLANs for users, i recommend to install Cisco. But cCsco is costly and we did not place it for a single user.

If technical specifications show that switching technology is enough for your organization, be sure that there will be no problems performing the necessary tasks. The problem is that Cisco as a market leader has one of the highest prices for devices of a particular specification and not all companies can afford it.

Easy to implement. These switches are really great and do an excellent job of bridging the gap between expensive switches and lower expensive SG model switches. I think there is a great value in this for your smaller branch offices. I have used NETGEAR, HP, and Alliance switches, and Cisco, by far, outperforms the others.

Cisco switches are suitable for a user stack. Port Channel connections can only be created when the maximum per port is a GB. A scenario in which it is not very good is when it is used as distribution equipment and therefore the route and its capacity are not adequate for those scenarios.

Gigabit endpoint connectivity with no advanced requirements beyond PoE+ VLANS and CDP/LLDP MED are best suited for these switches. Been deploying these switches (more then 300) for a couple of years now and haven't had a single hardware or software failure ever.

If you need more advanced features look at the 3800 of Cat 9k models for way more advanced features.

Cisco Catalyst 2960-L Series Switches are ideal for LAN deployments in branch offices, out-of-the-box closet installations, and conventional work areas. The wide range of port options makes them ideal for small or home-based offices. They do not support full PoE, nor do they support DNA so if this is a requirement then, unfortunately, these switches are a miss.

I really like to have a collapsed core network and have my centralized power and my knowledge handy too. With Cisco, we can use low budget devices which is particularly important because you won't need to invest in your telecommunication room but in your data center. It is easy to interact with Cisco firewalls with trunking and stacking capabilities. Connecting your DMZ to 3rd parties is highly reliable. When SDN comes in we can deploy and manage branches almost at once.

If you are deciding whether or not to buy a Cisco switch, answer these questions: Is my business 24/7? Is my business revenue affected by outages? Do I need a network family device with a full lineup so I can manage my engineer's knowledge? If you answered yes, Cisco is for you.

Catalyst switches are not well suited to route traffic for a lot of users but when used as a L2 switch they are very good.

They are a good fit for most switching environments. One of the greatest benefits to using Cisco switching equipment is that there are tons of IT professionals out there that are familiar with the Cisco products and are able to step into an environment and hit the ground running with managing the network gear. Selecting Cisco products typically means staffing concerns aren't usually a problem.
