I have tapped into Cisco's vast pool of Engineering services over the last 2 years. We have had Optic engineers help us to design how we would go about building and supporting Fiber rings. They have taken us through the DNA product and provided a deployment plan. We are working on a Smart Cities plan and the Cisco Engineers have taken us through reference architectures and are helping to modify them to our specific goals.

When deploying our Cisco Catalyst switches our company, through our internal resources, are generally able to deploy the solution purchased. When we need assistance we are able to contact our Cisco Partner or the Cisco TAC team. Both resources will help you until the deployment is working in the manner it should be.

We did not engage in any Cisco services. We purchased the product, configured it, and installed it all ourselves. Cisco does offer a great portfolio of services, we just didn't personally have a need for any of their offerings. We have since looked at other products and used other services not directly related to Catalyst switches and have nothing but good things to say.

We only utilize Cisco's free pre-sales services of solution architecture. They do an amazing job with this and the service we received was not lacking. I think they need to value these engineers more as their retention as of late has been the issue.

We did not engage Cisco services for either the planning or for deploying our Catalyst switch upgrade. Based on all my other experiences with them as a company I would not hesitate to engage them for something like this. They have always stepped up to the plate and made me feel like they had my back.
