Due to the existing infrastructure, Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points implementation was virtually plugging and play.

Deployment was very easy. Controllers were virtual allowing for very speedy deployment. The APs also use the same bracket as almost all previous generations which have allowed for a 1:1 swap in a lot of places. As we look to expand our deployments and refresh cycles we can reuse cabling and mounting hardware and in most cases, there is very little need for adjustments.

implementation is quick when WLC is properly deployed. after initial WLC preparation, other APs connected quickly and started to provide service. average 1 day took to implement and start using the wireless.

The company implemented the access points together with the Cisco supplier. A site survey was carried out to understand how many units were needed and the best installation position in the office. It was simple and we had no problems.

The implementation timeline of the Cisco Catalyst 9100 Series Access Points is the same as what we saw with previous Cisco models of access points. The command-line interface and configuration steps are very similar. We have had no bad experience and started seeing enhanced results as soon as they were put into production.

Fairly quick to get up and running with the Cisco solution, after the cabling and physical installation work is completed. There are useful guides and deployment documents that go over the initial setup for installation. The guides are most useful to go through the initial setup process fairly quickly and can be deployed while the physical installation progresses.

For the first setup, by referring the guideline, it still takes some time. The setup way is not so straightforward. It took me around a few hours to set up my first unit. The following units were fast. It was consider[ed] plug and play once my first unit was ready. It will auto find my controller and add in itself.
