With the help of various tools and Prime for automation, we can handle them with ease. They make excellent solutions for connecting servers and consumers as well. The analytics help our technical teams identify patterns of issues in a much more predictable way. Hence it has proven very useful for our organization.

In a large-scale environment that operates dozens of network switches, automation can make the difference. This allows a tailored template to be massively deployed on every new switch as well as on every switch that needs to be replaced; whether a standalone or a stack member. Once out of the box, a brand new device can be implemented both easily and quickly, which is a key factor for the exploitation phase of a network.

We automate a great number of things in the network. Access layer switching (of which these switches are a part) is an area where we derive quite a bit of benefit due to automation. With hundreds of switches in the network that might require a change, you have to automate or you will find yourself with crazy amounts of manual work. We don't use them in any kind of virtualization, so I can't comment on that feature set.

With new APIs and OS capabilities, Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches give great automation features which are useful for automation developers. Also, the Cisco DNA center provides simplified automation, provisioning, and dynamic controlling. This gives reduced administration overhead and accuracy of tasks. Day-to-day functions is easier with inbuilt GUI and monitoring features.

The company has benefited well from Cisco's switch management and security capabilities. Stacking reduces complexity because it allows the stack to be managed with a single IP. For those of us who don't have management software, it's very optimizable.

Automation is one of the greatest advantages of Cisco Catalyst 9200 switches. It helps IT departments with day to day chores that used to consume a lot of time before. Thus, liberating time and space for more critical tasks to be realized with less effort from them.
The analytics provided by the Cisco Catalyst 9200 switches are more helpful than ever and compete with those third party tools that requiere complex configuration plus additional software and licenses.

For our customers, the implementation of this family of switches in conjunction with DNA Center has been very useful. Because of the analytics, it provides and, above all, the automation in the configurations make the work of network administrators much easier. In this way, it is not necessary to configure each switch one by one using the console.

Our Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series switches have the great processing power, network connectivity, and security. It has a great processor, memory and allows even advanced dynamic routing such as OSPF and EIGRP. It allowed us to segment the network into VLANs and control traffic by department sectors. We use QoS resources to create traffic prioritization rules and voice and video handling that are sensitive.

The company has not yet experimented with the automation and analytical parts of Cisco Catalyst 9200 [Series] Switches. However, in the future, it is planned to take full advantage of the use of DNA Center to have the visibility of the LAN network equipment and thus be able to have more proactive monitoring of the network.

We are using macros in autoSmart port feature to configure the clients on their respective VLAN, this is a handy feature though old but gets the job done, especially that Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches runs the latest updated AutoSmart port. On the other hand, for virtualization the device sensor feature is not supported hence we lack the per-user experience.

It has taken a bit of time to get familiar with python, but now that our team has that confidence we have created a standard template that can be deployed easily. This will hence save time overall as we need to replace around 100 older 2960 series switches

We have not taken advantage of the DNA functionality that enables the ability for more automation, scale, virtualization, analytics, etc. Perhaps for an organization where there is a lot of need for such scale or functionality, it could be useful, but for our relatively small IT organization and few projects, it's not necessary.

We employ over 5,000 devices in our enterprise and use numerous tools and automation for administration, configurations, deployment, and remediation. We also use a few tools to manage, monitor, and expand uses within our environment.

The features such as virtualization, automation, analytics are not utilized in our scenario. We do not have the scale or use for these solutions. Even though there is no forseeable future use of these items, we had to purchase the DNA license as it is mandatory. Unnecessary in our view that we had to be pushed to purchasing this license.

We use our [Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches] with DNA for Assurance mainly. DNA can do more, and we will implement that later, but having the Assurance with our catalyst 9k's is excellent for our organization. We use the 9200's for a wide variety of uses, but being able to stack multiple 9200's together is an excellent feature.

The simplification of the network configuration has helped us tremendously. We shifted from multiple vendors to the single Cisco model and the ability to manage just one platform has been increasingly helpful. The new analytics that we are able to gather from the units are years ahead of the old ones and make it a lot easier to identify issues.
