Management is very important when operating a network. All admins want to make sure their devices are correctly supervised and managed. A solution like DNAC allows for Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches to be fully integrated, supervised and managed in an automated way, which is beneficial during network exploitation.

We certainly customize our Catalyst 9200 switches. We deploy them using a gold master template that incorporates the features that we wish to use like storm-control and logging to a central destination, and DHCP snooping to keep rogue DHCP servers off the network. Authentication to the device is tied to our Cisco ISE servers, and NTP is targeted to our internal authoritative sources. These switches have all the good bits that one needs to safely and efficiently operate a network.

The networking capability available allows easy planning of effective and simple network channels which are easy to run and manage all the data flow across the company. Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches also can help configure multiple networks as well as easy on server management and easy to control network security.

Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches are more operable with integration and automations. This gives more remote manageability and local manageability for administrators. Accessing native features built in switch GUI is fulfilling requirements for all basic management and monitoring. Integrations with API capabilities, gives more advanced capabilities to customizations such as scripting for automated tasks.

We customize the deployment and configuration according to our network and security rules such as VLANs, ACLs, stp, and routing. Cisco CLI is one of the best and easiest to use and configure. For us, it is a huge positive differentiator.

235 / 5.000Resultados de traduçãoYes, we had many benefits in equipment management with CLI and web interface. We customize the authentication portal with an interface and logo. The stacking feature enables the management of the switch stack with a single IP.

By allowing apps or containers to be added to the Cisco Catalyst 9200 DNA software, Cisco opened the door for custom options to manage these switches the way companies need to. In other words, managers can adapt and control them in the any way they see fit to get the results they need.

Management is performed through Cisco DNA software. We keep control of all units installed in various locations. The main feature is the ease of updating new firmware versions, implementing network and security configurations at the same time for everyone, which saves time for the networking team.

We haven't really explored much of the benefits that SD-Access offers with this family of switches. Our clients have preferred a slightly more traditional scheme, thus being the administration and monitoring with DNA Center the preferred ones.

They are manageable and can be stacked and simulated on a single switch to facilitate management and increase throughput capacity by up to 160 Gbps with the stacking limit of 8 units. Monitoring can be performed with other Cisco tools such as DNA Software.

The Cisco Catalyst 9200 [Series] Switches are currently managed through the CLI by the console ports. There is still no centralized administration as with the DNA Center. However, it is a functionality that could provide many benefits to the company to be able to make changes automatically to several switches at the same time and with this have savings in time and resources.

We are still using SNMP for monitoring and management, we planned to use application visibility and control but couple of switches crashed. And the application and visibility is limited in history which means we cannot use it to see aggregate application in the past month or so. Hopefully on newer Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches models if they are there we would see some difference as it all boils into the ASIC and memory used.

We have added these 9200 series switches into our Prime Infrastructure system for manageability and they are recognised along with our other Cisco equipment. I am not aware of any special features we get in particular with these switches versus others though.

We use the management interface for management purposes, but not anything fancier than that. We just needed a stable, reliable, cost-effective layer 2 switch and that's exactly what the Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches provides. PoE options are helpful. The non-L series has the flexibility of different types of SFP modules, which is a nice perk. The highly available power supply capability (2 power supplies) is great as well, given it was missing in previous models.

Again, we are in the process of planning deployment of Cisco DNA infrastructure that will allow us to use enhanced management and reporting capabilities. At this time standard SNMP tools are being used.

As being a MSP we tend to use custom scripts and implement them as needed. We do not use any customizations or scripting on any of our switches that are shared with customers.
For in-house 92k switches we use full automation, customization along with other features that this switch offers (like MACsec encryption and segmentation, UADP ASIC programmability )

We do use advanced customization and manageability with our 9200's through different methods. The primary way is through Cisco's DNA Center. We do have some 9200's that we have https enabled on for ease of configuration when we don't want to add the switch into DNA.

The new management of these switches makes it a lot easier to configure and manage going forward. A single vendor and model have allowed us to cut the time down considerably in issuing updates and configuration changes. The previous solution would take multiple days with multiple versions of code and making sure it was all interoperable.

We run voice and video services on our network. The Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches allow us to customize the ports for use with different applications from WiFi to voice and video. We can implement QoS settings by application and per port.

We have not implemented Cisco DNA Center yet. However, I am aware of what this functionality will bring. As a 20 year veteran of the network industry I understand that change is inevitable and moving away from the command line configuration is key to the Cisco strategy. I have seen what the Meraki portfolio is capable of in this respect and am fully on board with these changes.
