Cisco Catalyst Customization and Manageability

I don't think we are pushing the advanced customization features very hard on our Cisco Catalyst 9400 Series Switches at this point, other than some of the automation features. What we do like is that our network engineers are very familiar with Cisco IOS--that skillset translates perfectly for managing the core features of the 9400 switches. There was a bit of a learning curve, but it was not very steep.

Cisco Catalyst Customization and Manageability

We're probably still managing these switches in the 'old' way using the classic tools (like with the Openview suite), so we might not have profited yet from the new capabilities for management. From a customization point of view, the switches do offer a lot of options with regards to supporting the different types of connectivity and different power options (to support PoE).

Cisco Catalyst Customization and Manageability

We are using Cisco DNA Center to monitor our Catalyst 9000 switches. DNA Assurance has proved to be useful in detecting issues on the switches and providing guidance to fixing issues.
