Cisco Catalyst Switches primarily stack up against these other brands by their feature-rich configuration, high bandwidth processing, customization, access control, and scalability. Some of the major reasons are the support for Cisco Catalyst Switches and how quick it is. Lastly, a primary reason could be considered as the lifetime of the product and how long it is expected to work MTBF/MTTR This is in comparison to HPE, Zyxel, Netgear

We had about 15 different brands of network switches before adopting Cisco, and were not satisfied with any of them. Percentage of breakage on these units was very high.

We selected Cisco Catalyst over Aruba 2930 switches because they provided the best support and compatibility with our existing network configuration.

Cisco Catalyst Switches are easy to configure, troubleshoot and manage. They are much faster compared to HP ProCurve, Aruba, and Huawei network switches. Cisco provides the best customer support and insights to their customers relating features and services the Cisco Catalyst Switches provide and how to best use all the benefits.

The Cisco 9300 can be managed in a number of different ways compared to the Meraki portfolio which is Cloud Management only. I think that for many customers that the Cisco Meraki offering stack up really well unless of course there are features that are only included within the Cisco Catalyst range. At that point, you’d opt for Cisco Catalyst!

We wanted reliability as well as a good support system. We like the fact that if the first engineer can’t fix the issue, we can rely on them getting us to a person that can fix the problem. Compared to other companies, we prefer the support and help that comes from Cisco and their advanced services.

We went with Cisco because of the reputation and support from vendors. Although HP was a player, it is not widely supported and engineers were not readily available for more complex architecture. There was a tradeoff in our opinion because we need the switches to be flexible and supported well after the sale.

Cisco Catalyst Switches have more features than D-Link Ethernet Switches in most cases. But D-Link Ethernet Switches are very reliable and sometimes even more than Cisco switches.

Previously we were using HPE Aruba Ethernet Switches in our organization and we were not satisfied with [the] services of Aruba. I would only recommend buying a Cisco device. They remain stable and work flawlessly without problems. They are also up to date, as Cisco tells to checks for weaknesses on a daily basis and provides patches to keep them safe from attackers.

D-Link switches are nice switches with many features. They are also less expensive as compared with other options in the market. However, they are not built to handle large amounts of traffic in large enterprise networks or ISPs networks. Cisco Catalyst switches on the other hand are enterprise-grade switches which perform really well under heavy loads.
