Cisco has wide spread sales channel and readily available products. It was easy to find products for required projects and expansions. Pricewise it was not easy to get discount and Cisco is always more expensive than competitor brands models but at least you get the quality and support you need. Delivery times can be long but always delivered on time.

In my experience, you will always receive the best service and have the smoothest interaction with a vendor when you are looking to purchase something new. In this case, my score is due to the relationship that my organization and Cisco has built over the last four years. They have truly built trust with us to not only sell us things but to help us be strategic in the way we introduce new technology and understand our needs.

Our company has a great working relationship with our Cisco Partner. They are able to help out with any pre-sales questions we have either through their own resources or by contacting the account team which represents our company from Cisco. Through the collaboration we are able to work through any questions we may have.

Our SLED sales team has been nothing short of great. They took a look at our network as a whole and made recommendations based off of our actual environment rather than trying to upsale us more than we actually needed. I also feel like the SLED team does a good job in being cognizant of budget constraints that education customers often face. Our account manager has bent over backwards and gotten his pencil as sharp as he can to provide us the absolute best price possible.

Cisco provides quite a bit of pre-sales engineering support. Just today I wanted to know more about ETA (encrypted Traffics Analysis) and we talked not only about that but we also covered other areas of the network that would be impacted as a result of bringing that technology to our network. Whatever the Cisco technology is you can always find a subject matter experts inside Cisco that is willing to discuss the product so that you can make better buying choices for your employer.
