The Potential of Cisco Intersight
- Ease of implementation of our UCS-X Platforms
- Ease of Management
- Cross visibility to our Data Center Infrastructure (Network, Storage, Compute)
- Ability to Automate our configurations
- Ability to create profiles for better consistency and standardization
- When transitioning from traditional compute have to learn some new terminology
Where you want the ability to leverage profiles and automation to assist with creating a consistent and standard platform across all of your environments.
Where you are wanting the ability to be able to see not only your compute, but GPU, Network, and Storage for your data center in a single platform.
Where you are looking at optimizing your workload across your on-premise environment and cloud environments.
Intersight: A mixed bag but overall a win.
- Single pane of glass management
- Tons of information at your finger tips
- Tight integration with VMware vCenter
- Interface is quite slow
- Interface tree (navigating between server, profile, blade, chassis, FI, etc) is counterintuitive and needs more links in the tree
- Deploying minor changes takes much longer than in UCSM or UCSC
