It's a collaboration tool. First, we use Cisco Jabber to chat and IM coworkers, ask quick questions, and get quick answers. The best part about Cisco Jabber, unlike other similar tools, is that it easily integrates with our phones (landlines), allowing us to receive and make calls from anywhere as if we are in the office using our physical landline phone.
  • Chat/IM
  • Make calls
  • Receive calls
  • Automatically or manually change status (available, away, etc.)
  • Meeting functionality can be improved.
  • Make it easier to add organization contacts.
  • Layout can be improved.

We have a pilot group of a few hundred using Cisco Webex Teams in their everyday work. It facilitates collaboration within and between departments. A smaller pilot group is using the direct UCM calling feature of Teams. The ultimate goal is to roll it out as a replacement for Skype for Business.
  • Seamless integration with Cisco UCM for voice/video calling
  • Persistent chat spaces
  • SSO integration
  • Headset integration. Most vendors' headset controls do not function with client.
  • Softphone ease of use. Example... because of keyboard focus issues on Windows, it takes 3-4 clicks to answer an incoming call from Webex Meetings
  • Using the right-click to call another user does not have awareness of that user being configured for UCM direct calling. The result is a Teams native call, to someone who who may not have that function configured. This is a tough nut to crack, but the cloud is aware of a given user's status as far as UCM direct calling vs. Teams native calling.
Cisco Webex Teams is especially flexible for inter-company collaboration. It is very simple to include users from both inside your company and those in other Teams enterprises or even free Teams users. The flip side of that is making sure things fit company security and compliance policy. With each incremental release, more options are available, such as an on-prem key server, and the ability to store things on One Drive vs. internal Teams storage.

Webex Teams is being used across our organization. However, as a recently merged company that uses this product, I cannot say that it does anything unique than MS Teams. Collaboration is the business problem that it addresses. The nicest feature that I found that stood out is the fact that it will show the entire chat history from a team to any new members joining it.
  • Team chat history is shared with new members
  • Allows joining of external meetings
  • Webex Teams needs to make it's mark. It looks and feels like MS teams.
  • Needs to be able to integrate into tools (even MS tools like Flow, Powerapps)
I honestly would not recommend Webex Teams over Microsoft Teams. While it does do a few things better than, overall as a whole with integration, it feels a bit lacking. It seems the 2 platforms mimic each other in ways. My goal would overall be to drop Webex teams in favor of MS teams.

We use full webex suite. We needed a solution to allow our recruiters to make calls on their cell phone appearing as if it was their desk line. We also needed to view analytics. This solved that problem for us
  • Easy to use
  • Great guides from help.Webex.com for troubleshooting
  • Efficient support
  • Excellent analytics
  • Not issues thus far
Webex App is well suited for all company sizes not well suited for personal use.

There is a wide scope of Webex usage in my organization. We have customers all over the world who use our networking products. If they face any issues, they open up a ticket with us. We work on them through the Webex application. We organize group calls, share remote desktop screens. Collect the required information to find the root cause and fix problems.
  • Audio
  • video
  • screen sharing
  • make screen control option smooth between the sharer and the viewer
  • video clarity with less data
  • new UI is a bit confusing
I will very highly recommend Webex to anyone who needs to contact co-workers, customers, or end customers. Webex can act as the medium which takes care of the location factor and give the best clarity between the callers. Webex is best if you need to solve any networking problem remotely.

We used Jabber & Webex to communicate internally and reach other co-workers. It helped us communicate via one platform and easily reach one another, especially with a hybrid workplace. It was used by all employees in our organization, with the ability to reach any associate at any time.
  • Easy to send a message
  • Notifications are pretty clear
  • Simple to learn and onboard new employees.
  • Easy to meet
  • Video communication needs improvement over software peers - its buggy and low quality.
  • Customer service is lacking compared to competitors
  • Chat windows can have multiple windows running at once which is distracting
Our company eventually switched to another service provider based on how slow, buggy and dysfunctional the video component of Cisco Jabber is. If you wanted to use Cisco Jabber solely for chatting without video, its a great tool that runs very efficiently. It's wonderful to reach a co-worker quickly for a short discussion but isn't the best for longer conversations you want to retain.

WebEx however is easy to use and implement, and I would recommend it.

We are currently using Cisco Webex Teams to effectively communicate and collaborate within departments. Given a large number of departments within the organization we have found this software to be very effective for our remote users who are not on location or need to be out in the field during site visits.
  • Optimized workflow.
  • Remote use.
  • Software was bogged down in the past but seems to have been fixed.
  • Support can be a bit lacking.
There are many times some departments are not all in the same location or are conducting other site visits across our locations. During this time meetings are conducted via Cisco Webex Teams and they are all able to "meet" and collaborate efficiently. We have found these meetings to be fast and effective.

During [the] pandemic, our IT has [transformed] itself extensively to adapt COVID protocols and Cisco Jabber is one of them. While working from home, it helps us to have our office extensions on our mobile and communicate freely with our colleagues. [It] also [helps] us in having chatting and video [calls] with our teams.
  • Office extension on [your] mobile
  • Messaging, voice and [video] calling
  • Mobility, work from anywhere
  • Integration with IT LDAP services
  • [Look] of the app could have been better
  • [Takes] time to authenticate when logging in for the first time
  • [Sometimes] voice delays [have] been observed
[It's] very well suited for Cisco UC customers only. [It's] perfect for pandemic times, where you can sit in the office having physical office extension and do physical meetings with your team. Cisco Jabber covers all of [this] while providing mobility. [It] can replace those physical phones forever and reduce CaPex cost. Not suitable for non-Cisco UCS customers.

I have been using Cisco Jabber since last two years and this is my go-to tool for calling both internal & external partners and chatting with Internal partners. The audio quality is superb, and I really like the feature of screen share which is why I do not have to jump to other platforms. Great UI & definitely recommended to use.
  • Better call quality
  • Screen sharing
  • Managing status of your activity like Away, Available, DND
  • Little audio effects should be improvised
  • UI could be better
  • thats all
I am a phone person always and being in a profession of HR, I always connect to my people through my phone even out of office as well and since I have started using Jabber I got a chance to stay away from incoming calls out of my offic schedule.

We use it to directly interact with Customers, Clients and Employees. The direct approach to communication (Meetings, Chat, Calling) is exteremly helpful when trouble-shooting with a customer, interacting with a client, and helping employees understand technology. The only limitations that I have seen is the adoption of the product. If there was an option for users with currrent Jabber implemenations to use a "free version" of WebEx to migrate them to use WebEx App rather than remain on Jabber, I think the adoption rate would increase dramatically.
  • Clearly defines chats, groups, and meetings. The new "sections" feature is a great addition.
  • Always has been the go-to product for me for Meetings.
  • Sharing and collaborating is always a solid feature.
  • functions like (Chat, Files) in better locations (when sharing they are sometimes "lost" in the window
  • updates seem to be less stable lately. (compatibility)
  • easier access to meeting information. (maybe a pop up with the link and/or calling info)
The financial industry has certain limitations that WebEx App may not natively adhere to. Other veritcles like Medical, Automotive, Construction, Food Service, and Manufacturing all have less stringent controls over software updates and access. Each industry might have special needs or requirements that WebEx App may not meet. Allowing all functions (Meetings, Chat, and Calling) in the Web version might be first step.

It is being used by the whole organization as the primary messaging app. Also we implement it for customers with the collaboration team and make APIs for it.
  • Messaging in Webex is best and reliable.
  • Screen sharing and screen control.
  • Video meetings and real-time chat transcriptions.
  • License cost should decrease.
  • Integration with non Cisco partner companies with custom APIs.
  • Better integration with Outlook and Microsoft apps.
It is best for doing audio and video based meetings and also keeps historic chats saved. It is also an amazing tool for file sharing and screen control with screen sharing. Cisco TAC support is best and is provided only by the Cisco TAC team.

We use Webex on a daily a daily basis to collaborate with our partners, vendors, and customers. Webex allows us to work anywhere, anytime, and on any device. We have recently increased adoption of video usage which for me personally leads to better engagement and a more natural feel to communications.
  • Messaging and file sharing
  • Video meetings
  • Allows me to use my work number from any device
  • Microsoft is continuously adding capabilities and I honestly prefer Webex to competing products.
Anyone who has a need to collaborate with a distributed team or with customers or partners can benefit from Webex!

Last year we migrated form Jabber over to Webex app where it allowed our organization end users have a clean efficient all in one solution to our IM, presence and calling needs. The adaptability over from jabber to webex was seemless and our user engagement and productivity and improved dramatically.
  • Able to search through directory at the top
  • Joining your personal meeting at the same app
  • In app calling
  • Able to share and remote control in IM messages and not having to open a meeting when in a group
  • Improve loading and running speed, the app feels heavy
Being able to jump into my meetings whilst talking in a space with users.
External app's like slido for polling requiring PPI/HPI access.

We use Webex for IM, meetings, and voice. The problem we have is getting people moved over from Skype.
  • Allowing to us to use different retention between direct and spaces
  • Allows for breakout rooms in meetings
  • IM using GIFs
  • Being able to tag individuals in a space
  • I think there is nothing that needs to change at this time.

It started as a single branch that has now been added to more and more, helps integrate them all together, adds more functionality with the collaboration tools, messaging, screen sharing, etc, yet also saving on total cost for the whole company. The fact that most of the exact same functions that work in the mobile app mirror the desktop phone and desktop application.
  • Collaboration
  • Messaging
  • Cost savings
  • Advertisement
  • Provide Webex Teams 2.0 to 1.0 users.
  • Provide training for end users as the app updates and adds features.
It's been a great solution for on-premise and also remote work. We have deployed it in various ways at many branches, as well as also pairing it with a Meraki Z3C in a mobile command center so end-users could make/take calls off-prem while mobile but still had cell service and power.

Before the pandemic the notion of softphone was far in the clouds. We know that they existed, but the company did not see a need in them. The desk phone was more than sufficient for taking and making calls from and too the users. Once the pandemic took fool effect and business need to change the way of working, allowing mobility and general working from anywhere except the office, the desk phone become obsolete and a replacement was needed. Cisco Jabber was the perfect choice. The tool presented it self in front of our team. Sleek designee, easy to configure, fast to use, compatibility with Cisco Finesse. It is was the perfect tool at the right time. At this moment our teams become completely mobile and can take and make calls to our users from anywhere there is a internet connection. Integrated with our systems, the tool contains all our users and you can find anyone with a stoke of a key and call them directly. Also a feature used by the team is authenticate users using the video call option. A great tool to use in the helpdesk environment.
  • Friendly interface - agent does not need to be cisco certified to use it.
  • Fast setup - installation and setup are fast and easy
  • Great quality of sound and picture
  • Copy/Paste numbers easy
  • Headset and camera selection - not on the front page, but in settings - in this way agent can monitor and make the sure they have selected the correct headset before the call starts.
  • The option to be present with choice of either call or video call before making the call, and not after the call has been establish.
  • Connect to a device - could be easier to use or have a more friendly interface
The Pandemic has tough us that the next generation of helpdesk users/workers will be mobile. They cannot be connected to a place, a spot, a landline, a desk phone. In the field of helpdesk and not only you need to be able to take the call from the user anywhere. A tool like Cisco Jabber easy to use and fast to connect is the most important. I have worked both in the helpdesk environment and in a managerial roll where we need to connect to calls and users and this tool has been there to provide and response to our needs.
In the Helpdesk environment it provide the best response to building a hotline easy to setup and configure. But also paired with Cisco Finesse has provided a stable connection and constant availability for our users to reach us.
In the single user, this tool is perfect not only for the possibility to call but also because of the pairing with your calendar. Proving visibility on your time and actions, also sending email with click away.
Maybe the chat function if enabled would have provide more benefits, as to create a one tool in one.

We use Cisco Jabber for internal communication, meetings and messaging. Some issues we have faced are finding the settings for configurations (users), and some issues being reported were username and passwords not being saved.
  • Call clarity and quality is great
  • Customer Service Support is fast
  • Chat and messaging features work seamlessly
  • Automatic status updates is great too.
  • Screen sharing is great and fast
  • Better integration into Outlook
  • Username and Passwords being forgotten by the software
  • Lack of alerts when getting an incoming call
Cisco Jabber to me is an excellent choice for personal and enterprise level communication. Works well, it does the job. Call and Video quality is great (depending on your internet connection), and it's compatibility is great too. However, with this being said, it is more appropriate and more reliable to use it for work related meetings and calls because of its price and features. It is not well suited for personal occasional use.

We use Cisco jabber as an alternative form of communication with customers who are not active within our amazon internal comm tools. It serve as one of the go-to solution for both instance messaging and video conferencing.
  • Better UI
  • Nice integration
  • Well established
  • Although some UI improvement has been rolled out, overall UX is still lacking
  • Connection sometime unstable
  • Not a lot of documentation
If you do not have an existing tele communication solution than I think Cisco jabber is a good one to start with, it’s well established in the market and also well integrated with a lot of other third party platforms. The software have been existed for sometime so it’s UI/UX isn’t the greatest.

Webex App provides an innovative communication environment, including instant enterprise messaging, video calls, file sharing, and integrations that greatly enhance productivity. In our company, it enables the development of effective and secure multimedia communications processes. It offers stability in its operation and facilitates its integration with data loss prevention tools.
  • It has an efficient cloud phone system that allows you to make and receive calls from anywhere with total stability.
  • It is really easy to share files with the work team and quickly and securely search these files.
  • Offers everyday integrations such as Miro, Salesforce, and others.
  • Allows for high-quality videoconferencing meetings, making use of versatile screen sharing.
  • Offers the ability to automate tasks with built-in artificial intelligence.
  • I consider it necessary to improve the search function.
  • The handling of large files is sometimes slow.
Today, every company needs to deal with increasingly complex communications environments that open up a wide variety of communication methods. Quite a few of us use the Webex App for collaborating with internal teams and Cisco contacts. It's a great product that is simple to use, has industry-leading noise cancellation built-in, and with it now being an all-in-one app for meetings, collaborating, and Webex Calling. It's provided a reliable solution that I can depend on using.
  • Noise Cancellation built in with optimizations' for the users voice.
  • Ad-hoc meetings in group spaces.
  • Out of the box integrations with products like Salesforce and ServiceNow.
  • Custom API and Bot integrations are able to be done easily.
  • Slightly more resource friendly on Windows based devices.
  • Ability to do live sharing through Office apps (like Powerpoint sharing in Microsoft Teams).
  • Messaging with other platforms without the need for integrations (i.e. direct messages to organizations using Microsoft Teams).
Webex App is well suited for noisy office/work environments or working from home where distractions can occur not just for the end-user, but also for the others during meetings or calls.
