Compatibility is important. Cisco Routers (SD-WAN) can be integration with Catalyst Center and Cisco ACI soloutions. When integrated with Cisco ACI, systems can orchestrate where the hosts are at a moment and redirect traffic accordingly. Without integration this has to be done manually which is not scalable and manageable for customers.

Yes, it was! We only use Cisco products in our environment, so we have Access Points, Switches, Routers, Firewall and also Datacenter switches. It is better to manage devices from one vendor. And also Cisco Routers can be integrated in a network with other Cisco products even better because of the similar configuration background.

We do integrate our Cisco Routers with additional Cisco switch stacks as well as other third-party hardware such as other switches, firewalls, servers, UPS units, environmental sensors and a phone system. The Cisco Routers have "played well" with all the other equipment, from a myriad of different manufacturers. We are happy with the integration abilities. We went with Cisco on the recommendation of a trusted partner and haven't been disappointed.

Compatibility with different Cisco networking equipment is also a key factor when selecting the Cisco Routers, however, it is not a MUST HAVE. Cisco Routers are compatible with a lot of other vendors such as Juniper, Arista, Aruba, Extreme Networks, Palo Alto Networks, etc. Cisco Routers also can send the probe to different monitoring tools such as LibreNMS, LogicMonitor, and Grafana. So, Cisco Routers are almost capable of connecting with any networking vendor, there is no limitation as such.

Yes, once you bring a set of Cisco Products, it is always advisable to bring others from Cisco only as they work perfectly fine with them. There are no compatibility issues. Compatibility is an important factor to be taken note of before purchasing a product as the product needs to work in an environment.

If the compatibility of Cisco Meraki MX Routers with other solutions such as Meraki MR wireless, Meraki MV cameras, and Meraki MS switches was a determining factor in opting for Meraki technology since all administration can be done centrally from the dashboard of Meraki with access from any point where there is internet service.

We use other Cisco Products such as Cisco Anyconnect VPN, Cisco WebEx within our organization, however, these other products are compatible with all other vendors' products. We are happy with these other products, but the use of these devices was not an important factor in procuring Cisco Routers. Cisco Meraki Routers in themselves provide a variety of features in terms of security, network management, high-speed internet connectivity, and presence analytics.

During the acquisition of the routers, the starting point was the performance and compatibility with the different equipment that are part of the network architecture that makes up the organization, in this case, Cisco has the standard protocols and this was not a problem if not an advantage.

Of course, in this world of convergent networks, it is important to have equipment that adapts/integrates and is compatible with other equipment, since they allow us to install features according to the cases of uses that are presented to us without any inconvenience, thus obtaining the maximum performance in our network

Compatibility is important. We use other Cisco products so buying Cisco routers fits right in. We currently use Meraki for switches, just another Cisco product. Cisco also integrates with Active Directory so user management and security are a lot easier for our school district. There are a lot of other compatible devices and software with Cisco that we want to start looking into.

The compatibility with other vendors was not the main factor [in choosing] this specific vendor. We focused our choice mainly on performance. However, we have always had a good result from the compatibility perspective. Cisco, in general, is very strong in their compatibility in all their products and services with other vendor devices.

All of the networking equipment provided by Cisco is highly compatible with each other and works well with each other. However, this was not an important factor for the purchase because Cisco Routers is not integrated with our internal network. It is being used at the edge of the network to provide auto-failover for internet links with our service providers.

Yes, compatibility was a major factor when selecting the Cisco Routers. We have a Cisco-certified engineer on staff, so compatibility and familiarity with the programming languages was important. It also ensures support from Cisco is familiar with the data transmissions between their various devices (e.g., router, switch, firewall, and access points).

The Meraki series of Cisco Routers are best used as an all-in-one solution. Basically, if you decide to go with Meraki, go all in and replace all network devices with Meraki equipment. It doesn't work as well with other equipment because it won't have the full monitoring ability for the entire network, so finding a device or changing settings would be more difficult unless you're using all Meraki equipment. It's also not as easy to connect remote devices to Meraki devices, so having a homogeneous Meraki network definitely reduces labor cost and complexity.

Cisco Routers are well accepted in market and there are enough certified professionals out there to manage and configure these devices. Compatibility is there for most of the devices and it works well with other vendor devices also. Huge factor is Cisco support and product assurance for its usage and periodic software updates.

Compatibility is an important aspect of the choice for Cisco. Especially if you want the routers to share routing protocols or want to set up a site to site VPN. Luckily documentation and expertise on web forums all over the internet allow you to configure the device in a short period of time.
