Duo has helped solved our issues with compromised accounts. This implementation has been key in improving security measures here. My only issue is that we did not do it sooner. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to protect user accounts on additional levels and would look to use it again.
  • Simple to use
  • Easy to configure
  • Easy for users
  • Price
  • Deployment assistance
I would 100% recommend this to anyone who needs to add multi-factor authentication. It is easy to configure and set up with our single-sign-on environment. We have end users who have appreciated the need for this software and they do not complain about It because of the functionality.
  • Better use of staff time
  • Limited spam attacks
I absolutely love this tool. It has been outstanding to use and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Adding security can be a turn-off to end-users. I do not feel this is the case with Duo, our users are very comfortable with this new enhancement and this makes a difference.
We have not a single access breach from the users who have been added to this system, it has been a piece of relief. I strongly feel that tools like these are extremely underutilized and have many more benefits than are often realized. End users tend to be the largest risk with security, Duo protects them from themselves.
I will speak about the track record of Cisco's support and that is off the charts. We have need needed support on Duo but based on the track record of Cisco support, I know that if I need it I will not be disappointed. Support costs what it does but it's worth it.
Support has not been needed with Duo.
I knew Duo was the right fit. We did not evaluate other options.
Since this was a critical system for security we absolutely got premium support. Had we had downtime related to this it would have caused significant problems so lower support was not worth the risk. This was really an easy decision and had it been more expensive I think we would have pulled the trigger anyways.

Our IT department implemented Duo Security for the entire company shortly after the pandemic started. It adds another layer of security and safeguards our network, while being super user-friendly. I was initially hesitant of having another login and thought it may be cumbersome but I quickly got used to it. The app was super easy to install and use.
  • Added security
  • User-friendly
  • Easy installation
  • I can’t think of any. I think it’s great the way it is.
I think Duo Security is suited for any organizations, period. We hear in the news almost daily where someone fell victim to a cyber-attack with a ransom. You can never be too careful or take cyber security issues lightly, especially so many people are still (and continue to be) working remotely. My husband works at a community college and they also use Duo Security, so it’s not just for corporations.
  • I was not involved in the purchasing, so no input on ROI, but it’s a good safeguard and peace of mind which is hard to put a price tag [on].
As a user, it was easy to install and to use. Our IT department sent a detailed instruction, not sure if it was provided by Duo or they created their own, but that was also easy to follow and helpful. Other MFAs I have use send verification emails/texts, but I much prefer Duo’s way.
As so many of our employees are working remotely and accessing our network from various devices, MFA is critically essential. Since its implementation, I’m more confident about the security of accessing our data via Duo. I also think it’s a great way for my company to track the employees’ access.
I’m not aware of any data breaches and hope it stays that way.
Not applicable as I have never contacted their support team.
I have never had any issues using Duo, so never needed any support. I think that’s a sign of [an] exceptional product.
As previously mentioned, I have used email/text verifications but that requires typing or copying/pasting. Duo is much simpler. Since I wasn’t involved in the purchasing process, I don’t know what other products were considered, but I’m glad my company went with Duo.
You can’t put a price on the value of having a reliable cyber security measure in place. One easy step of using a user-friendly app to assure my company assure that no one outside of our organization can access our data is invaluable.
Keeping their employees up to date with current trends of cyber security thread. Also, mandatory training is essential, so everyone is reminded of cyber security threats and know how to avoid them.
I’m not involved in the decision making process, but as a user, I’m happy with Duo.
As a user, it was very easy. I just downloaded the app and a quick registration.
I’ve never experienced any issues. It works like a charm every time.
It’s very seamless getting an approval from the Duo app and accessing our internal database.

Duo Security is used to provide second form-factor authentication for remote access to our corporate information, either through Citrix or Cisco VPN. It is used by any authorized user across the enterprise controlled by membership in a specific active directory group. With Duo Security, we have addressed the need to ensure that access to our resources, specifically our EMR, is granted only to authorized individuals.
  • Duo Security allows a great deal of flexibility.
  • Duo Security allows a variety of ways to provide the authentication; push notification, SMS notification, or passcode.
  • Duo Security integrates with several applications and is simple to use.
  • Some of the reporting could could use improvement.
  • Log review could benefit from the addition of filters. As things are in the version I have, to see the detail I want, I often have to export the logs to CSV and create my own filters/sorting in Excel.
  • Duo Push doesn't always make it to the phone. Often this is due to poor data access on the part of the end user but, on rare occasion, data is available but the push notification doesn't make it. This results a timeout for the user causing login failure.
Duo Security is well suited for any organization that is subject to external compliance requirements or even those who simply want to be sure that the person accessing their network is who they say they are. Though we use it only for external connections, it could easily be used to validate internal connections.
  • Duo Security helps me sleep better as I worry less about an external attacker gaining unauthorized access to my network.
  • If there is a downside to Duo Security, it is that we did get some pushback from the end user community as they felt it was a hinderance to their workflow. However, Duo Security's flexibility allowed us to minimize that impact.
  • Duo Security provides a lot of information about the devices being used to access your network remotely.
This was the only such product we looked at for external second form-factor authentication.

Secure Access is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I would not want to run my network or provide remote access without it.
The documentation is quite clear and the number of applications you can protect grows all the time.
In the last 5+ years we've been using Duo, there may have been 1 outage that impacted us. We do receive periodic notifications of issues but, for the most part, they impact carriers or functionality that we either don't use, or do not care about.
As mentioned before, Duo's documentation is extremely thorough and accurate. I have rarely had to call them to obtain additional guidance.

We wanted something that was easy to use while providing us with a level of comfort that we would have the protection we needed.

Price and usability were important, but features were the most important. We had to know it would do the job.
No changes.
I believe my subscription includes premium support but I did not buy anything specifically entitled that. Regardless, I've had no issues getting quick resolution to the few problems we've had.
