What is Cisco Desk Series?

A whiteboarding, videoconferencing and a second laptop display in one single device. The Cisco Desk Series delivers a collaboration experience to desks, in shared spaces, or small huddle spaces. Models include the Desk Pro, Desk, and Desk Mini. All Desk devices have advanced audio intelligence built in for distraction free meetings, a USB-C connection to pair devices wirelessly or dock a laptop, and privacy features such as noise removal, video backgrounds and access to in-meeting controls — so that users can always show up and look professional in meetings even from a kitchen or living room.

The Cisco Desk Pro is a 27-inch, 4K display delivering a collaboration experience to a desk. Featuring a 4K, 27-inch touchscreen, 71-degree FOV 12 MP camera, 3.1 sound system, and advanced noise-canceling mic array, the Desk Pro provides an exceptional video meeting experience. The Desk Pro is now certified for Microsoft Teams.

The Desk is a collaboration and productivity device. It features a 24-inch touchscreen with a 1080p display, 64-degree HD camera, full-range speaker, and a mic array with AI-powered background noise suppression. This device helps to create a clutter-free space whether at home, in the office, or in a shared space.

The Desk Mini is a portable collaboration device that helps to make any space into an office. It turns the living room or dining room into a productive workspace. I use the Cisco Webex Desk Pro several times a day for Webex, Teams, and Zoom meetings. Very versatile, easy to use. One button to push to enter my meetings is priceless. Easy interface to navigate, and the quality is outstanding. The touch interface and whiteboard feature are very helpful to sketch ideas and mark up docs.

  • The WebRTC function that's used for certain meeting types should include a progress bar. A lot of users think the device is frozen.
  • At entry, the price was a bit high. I haven't bought one recently.

With remote work, COVID, etc., we had a need to conduct interviews while social distancing. This device works perfectly to remove the "techie" portion of joining a meeting from an end user. It's as simple as pressing a big green join button. Hanging up is just as easy. I will say that it works best when registered to the Webex control hub.

I have and use a number of different video conference devices and applications at my desk. The CCisco Webex Desk Pro is, by far, the device I choose over the others. It's simple, easy to use, with high quality video and audio. I particularly like the touchscreen speed dialing for calling other users and the ability to add multiple people to the collaboration. The white board capability is particularly useful for sharing ideas and in promoting working sessions where everyone can "step up to the whiteboard" and add their ideas.

As a lot of video meetings are done internally and externally, it is required to have a good view, camera, microphone, and speakers. There was a need to create a place in an office environment for that to happen, as calling with laptops only, the situation was not great. So installing a few desk pro devices already made collaboration easier and more reliable, also this doubles as a monitor and hub if needed, so it can be used by the team as a personal hot seat desk. Also, no additional office space for people was required, so fewer expenses.

Does not work for big meeting rooms or if there are more than 2 participants. Takes quite a lot of space and is heavy. The design is average.

I use it as both a secondary monitor as well as for video conferencing. It is great for 2-person huddle spaces as meetings because of the audio and video quality and noise canceling. It's great for noisy areas, like our open office layout, and with the trial, we're running the MTR mode, so it's also a great solution for Teams meetings as well.

All my experience is with customer support for enterprise networks. We use webex desk pro to get remote access to our customers and work on the issue. It is very convenient and fast to start the work immediately. For example, if a customer calls us, we spend a couple of minutes to understand the issue. Then in another 2 minutes, we are accessing his network devices and working on the issue. Voice quality and video quality is also top-notch.

  • Let's say I have set a meeting for 8 pm. It would be great if I had an option to get a call from cisco reminding me about the meeting. It'll be useful when the meeting is on off hours.
The cisco webex desk pro is perfect for customer services. It's way too easy to talk and start working on issues right away. It is also extremely helpful to organize internal meetings with the team. As of now, Many companies are still doing work from home or hybrid. So this helps organize things great. As for the less appropriate option, I think it would be the video quality when we have low bandwidth.

The app is used as a bolt on to a hosted telephony product and as such, works very well for end users. The functionality is good and the app itself is easy to navigate for those that are "less-techy".

Cisco Webex Desk Pro is an all-in-one collaboration platform that combines video conferencing, content sharing and digital whiteboarding into one software. My organization used Cisco Webex Desk Pro during the pandemic for the work-from-home setup and it was absolutely fantastic. It optimizes the audio and video quality and allows noise cancelling during online meetings.

We have started to use the Cisco [Webex] Desk Pro as a high end personal video conferencing unit that operates as both a desktop monitor and a complete video conferencing end-point. The Cisco [Webex] Desk Pro has dramatically transformed the work from home experience for video conferencing with the built in noise cancellation and the powerful built-in audio.

We interact with our customers helping them with different products and helping them on how to use them by using the whiteboard, this helps us to be in detail and also make it clear for the clients while demonstrating the product the features of our products, the interaction becomes more engaging and he client also has full attention to the details we speak.

  • The extended monitor feature makes the job easy by simply connecting it and using it
  • Webex assistant and as we use the Cisco Webex Desk Pro platform it becomes easy walkthrough
  • Training Center, Event Center, and Support Center are separate products from Webex Meetings which should be one
  • Mac Outlook Plugin has some issues while syncing
  • Google calendar synchronization seems to be an issue while using it as clients do have google suite on the business side
The tool is great for having a day in and day out video calls with the client in today's COVID world, where physical interaction is limited and the best suited is for having meetings with clients and showcasing them the product demonstration, at a large scale as this has smooth video interaction and makes any large scale webinar a piece of cake while using it.

During the pandemic and work-from-home setting, Cisco Webex Desk Pro is a great tool for collaboration.

I use Cisco Webex Desk Pro for meetings and for training. Using this device helps me to provide my clients a professional training in a very efficient way. Using all possibilities of this device helps to make any training interesting, motivating and catches the attendee's attention for hours. It never gets boring. I mainly work from home and my company is 225km away. Using Desk Pro I can keep in contact [with] anyone of my company easily and at any time. Hybrid work, virtual work was never easier.

  • Noise cancellation should be default, not an option.
  • When I start the Desk Pro, my own picture should remain the same size as when I shut down the device.
  • It should be possible to use video and audio not only for Webex but also for MS Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, in order to answer an invitation via other collab tools without changing the device.
A great feature is the possibility to share files and presentations and to have your own video in front of the presentation. On the other hand, I receive a lot of invitations from clients working with MS Teams, Google Meet, and a few of them also with Zoom. If I could answer their invitations using Desk Pro, that would be great. Unfortunately, not everybody uses Cisco products or services, but showing them what a Cisco product is capable of could help to make them change their thinking about Cisco products. Just like Meraki. Let them use it for a while and they will buy it.

I use it now for over a year and am really happy with it. It's my daily high quality video conferencing device and monitor. It integrates nicely with my calendar service. It reminds my if there is a meeting and I can easily join. We are using Cisco videoconferencing worldwide and are extremely happy with the solution. What I really like about the solution is the completeness. You get a system for nearly every use case. The user experience is always the same. As it is supposed to be. So for me it's a perfect fit.

  • Direct registration to MS.
It's a great device for your daily work in the home office or focus room in the office. Since it's 27" device you can even use it with two people. The Cisco Webex Desk Pro is used in our company to communicate between managers of different departments and teams, to allow effective and fast communication. Through a very high-quality video, voice communication goes far beyond the quality that can be held by a common communication telephone, which instead uses compressed audio codecs to reduce the bandwidth used on telephone connections, thus drastically reducing the quality of the voice.

It includes cognitive collaboration capabilities and direct access as well as automatically pairing with your phone or laptop providing an exceptional video meeting experience.

I usually work in the office but because of Covid, I am mostly remote. I have been using Cisco Webex Desk Pro now since August 20, 2020, and have been really impressed by the quality of the product, ease of use, and software upgrades. It also helps me test other internal systems which I remotely upgrade. It has been an absolute gem! The virtual backgrounds are also quite amazing!
