Document sharing (rather than screen sharing) needs to be improved so that there can be guaranteed consistency between what the host see and what the attendee sees. At the moment the only way to guarantee this is by using the discontinued UCF format. Screen sharing is nit a viable solution as the annotation toools for the attendees is not available.

Apart from that [Cisco] Webex Meetings is reliable and comfortable way to conduct online classes.

Ability for users accessing meetings from phones or tablets to be able to use the annoation tools would be useful.

Webex provides additional controls to manage our meetings like the ability to assign multiple hosts to launch the meeting, ability to have people wait in a lobby until we are ready to launch the meeting but most important for a global team, is local numbers to connect by phone.

I think [Cisco Webex Meetings] is well suited for working meetings, customer presentations, maybe less appropriate if it is with a new customer that might not be very confident on turning on their camera, but I've been surprised of how many are already used to show themselves in front of their camera these days.

[Cisco] Webex Meetings is well suited for internal or external meetings when you have multiple participants and need to have a collaborative meeting together. It is easy to share content, take notes, and discuss amongst each other on agenda topics.
Webex meetings is less appropriate for events as it can be harder to get participant registration. There are great tools and features that make it very beneficial for hosts, but registration is not the best.

Very good for internal meetings for users who are familiar with the Webex interface. Some more consumer features were not available and only just coming into Webex with recent upgrades. Does not seem to function well when 100+ users log into the meeting. Menus are not intuitive, will be quite complicated for users that are using competitive solutions.

Cisco Webex Meetings is well suited for education, business meetings, training, and collaboration, and less so for events, lab activities, practical and hands-on sessions, and situations where you need to strictly monitor attendees' behaviours (exams).

The best scenario is for a business setup that has people and clients working around the clock in different geographical locations. This product is best suited for a scenario where a certain number of people (clients and consultants for instance) have to instantly get into a conversation regarding a project or a deliverable. A meeting can be hosted within no time, perfectly letting everyone to join it and participate.

It is well suited for scenarios where you are trying to communicate and collaborate with multiple colleagues at the same time who are located in multiple places and in multiple time zones. It is perfect for conducting online trainings and presentations as you can do screen shares and have an endless number of attendees call in to participate. It is less appropriate for a document sharing tool.

Webex Meetings is a very mature product that has been the market leader for many years and has enterprise grade security and features. Webex is the standard for the enterprise, but can be too expensive for smaller organizations that already have Microsoft licensing and using MS Teams where adding audio conferencing is only $4 per user to host a meeting. Cisco needs to figure out how to capture more business from Microsoft Teams customers.

It's great for meetings that need to include a few or a lot of people who are working remotely. It's an ideal solution when you need to share a desktop, documents, videos, etc. with those who aren't in the room with you. It's suitable for both internal meetings and meetings with your clients.

Webex works just like any other web meeting tool. It has an app, a desktop app, and a web version. At this point, I would be unlikely to recommend it because of its specificity to the business world (as opposed to something like Zoom, BlueJeans, etc...) and the requirement for a corporate licensing model that doesn't exactly make the juice worth the squeeze for a product that really doesn't differentiate itself on an enterprise level as anything uniquely special amongst its peers.

I think Cisco Webex Meetings is great for school/college because of breakout sessions, for executive meetings in an organization using Cisco Telepresence equipment, for streaming live events to external sites like Youtube or Facebook live. It is good for small organizations to establish a meeting for their day to day operations.

I like this for troubleshooting issues as I can use it to control users computers. Also very useful with management meetings to better explain our procedures and we can show them the process that it takes to get something done.

One-on-one or one-to-many meetings work very well as you can see the handful of people that are in your meeting in a large display. That is more difficult to capture when you have 10+ users on a call and the 5x5 video squares make it difficult to get any useful video out of it. It's a little better if you're not sharing a document or screen sharing. However, if your main goal is to share a document or screen that is presented very well, quickly, it will have a little latency.

Works really well for planned meeting, those with a lot of people and for recording. Other solutions such as Teams provide much better ad-hoc meeting capabilities and integrated chat/collaboration.

Perfectly suited for live demonstrations. Recording of sessions and playback are top-notch. Ease of use is and was paramount to the adoption of this product with end-users and administrators alike. Recording troubleshooting sessions with vendors and customers have improved the mean time to resolution. The time savings have been measurable and have increased customer satisfaction.

I highly recommend Cisco Webex Meetings for all companies all over the world. We all need this kind of application that can connect us to all our employees all over the world. Aside from the fact that it is a Cisco application where we know that it is a secure and trusted brand. Webex is a secure and safe video conferencing tool where you can schedule meetings anytime and anywhere. You can install the app on your mobile as well so no need to worry if you are far from your laptop or PC you can always join the meeting.

Well suited: to break down silos between co-workers who are not in the same location, to conduct webinars, for trainings, and to share content and foster collaboration. Now during the pandemic it became even more relevant. I count on WebEx for my face-to-face virtual meetings
Less appropriate: if in-person meetings are a must. If you need to continue to provide feedback via chat (MS Teams allows for that)

Appropriate:
  • Quick meetings, quick audio conferences, because of the ease of setup.
  • Quick customer PowerPoint presentations
  • Remote technical assistance, since it provides the chance to give control for a remote peer, of your own laptop.
Less appropriate:
  • long meetings, as following someone online requires a certain disposition for "concentration".
  • meetings that need lots of interactivity (everyone speaking)
