We use the Cisco Room Series for meetings, which are mostly over the LAN between two or more branches. Mostly we use Room 70 and 55 Dual.

Also, we use them to connect to the meetings over Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Some Customers use this product with Expressway series but mostly I prefer SIP registration in cloud. Also Codec Devices are common for our customers. When there is a possibility of using them through CUCM device we prefer registering this device.
  • If the Network quality is good we can get the highest picture quality in market.
  • Covers the full room and is very useful for both small rooms and big meeting rooms.
  • Most of the products can be moved from room to room, so you don't need to buy separate devices for each room.
  • Actually the main problem for the customers are the pricing
  • From my own experience microphone quality is not very high. Because wall mounted microphones can sometimes perform somehow very badly
  • Possibility of contacting 3rd party meetings without configurations or creating store for downloading apps for this devices and connecting 3rd party meetings as we already familiar in PCs
Firstly from well suited:
I have implemented Codec Device and Room Kit Pro in governmental place and it suited very well. It was again on Prem solution working with Cisco Meeting Servers and different countries were connected to the meeting. Network quality was perfect and Video quality voice quality were above the great. Everybody asked about the device which we were using after the call. Mainly the IT guys.

For not so well experience I can say the place where we used Board Pro 55 but we have faced with the microphone problems. For the solutions we used wired Cisco SX20 devices microphones it solved the problem. But Board pro 55 itself made our experience little bit bad.

We are using Cisco Room Series in our large conference rooms like 16 & 21 pax. It allows us to join meetings across multiple platforms like WebEx, Zoom, Teams using native & CVI. Cisco Room Series includes tools like whiteboarding, screen sharing, and file sharing, making it easier to work together in real-time.

Immersive and productive video conferencing experience. The hardware is easy to set up and use, and provides a seamless, integrated experience for video conferencing, screen sharing, and content sharing. The systems support both wired and wireless connections and are compatible with a variety of collaboration tools and platforms. It is less appropriate where people use this device only for passthrough functionality.

Cisco Room Kit Pro is the main equipment in my company, which is installed in the meeting room. All online meetings are conducted with its help; Integration with the Webex application and the ability to connect to the Microsoft Teams product also helps us with this. The use of various system components, such as control tablets (Room Navigator), allows us to constantly monitor and book a room without any overhead. Our conference room also helps us showcase Cisco collaboration products and promote our company image.Built-in active noise cancellation, speaker tracking, and incredible microphone quality enable your online meetings to be superior.
  • Quality of system components
  • Built-in integration with cloud video conferencing applications
  • Availability of excellent technical support (Cisco TAC)
  • The ability to build your own technical ecosystem from many supported components.
  • It is necessary to make it possible to connect a headset via Bluetooth
  • Make it possible to connect the device to the control computer via USB.
  • Ability to connect third-party devices (such as cameras or microphones)
1. Creating meeting rooms for online meetings 2. Creation of classrooms for conducting classes 3. Streaming events for several dozen people 4. Building a global ecosystem based on Cisco devices and applications, the ability to build and administer, for example, campuses throughout the country, as well as in different countries (if the company is international)

We use the Webex Room Series endpoints to enable Video Conferencing from Courts to allow parties to appear from other locations such as people who are in custody in a prison, or witnesses who may be in a remote area. The Room Series endpoints allow us the ability to interface these video requirement in to the other technology used within our courtrooms.
  • Great Video Quality
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to support
  • QA of software being released
  • Missing functionality compared to older endpoints
There’s a range of models which can be used in pretty well any room situation, whether that be a small meeting room, or a large space with multiple cameras.

Room kits for us, we have them in all of our offices and all of our call centers. Everything from small quiet rooms with the desk pro units, all the way up to training rooms with multiple screens and multiple cameras. So we use them for training, board meetings, everything.
  • Probably one of the best ones we had recently was using some of the new layouts within the room kits. We've had some kind of hybrids of large groups on site as well as individuals connecting through WebEx and being able to display things out properly and have the presentations easily visible as well as still seeing the presenter. It just makes things a lot easier to work with.
  • Probably one of the biggest things for me is we recently got some board units and they don't talk very well if they're in the same room as more equipment. So it would be great to be able to actually have more than one piece of equipment in a room and just have them talk to each other. That's a major issue we have at the moment.
So with our current setups, it's quite hard to do really large groups as well as having lots of individuals and having everyone still feel like they're part of it. It tends to just fall to whoever you can see on the screen at the time and then the mass in the room. But things where it does work really well is we run regular, I suppose, business-wide updates, we call them town halls, and being able to have everyone connect easily no matter where they are in Australia just to be a part of it.

We have a lot of Video Conference rooms throughout the firm and they’ve been using the Cisco Room Series for many years. They are easy to use and we’ve been able to help attorneys learn the ropes with this technology. The touchpads are simple to understand and easy to modify as well as adding additional buttons such as the teams button.
  • Easy to set up
  • User and Admin friendly
  • Great quality of sound and visual
  • Camera control
  • Better zoom capabilities
  • Ease of turning off speaker focus
Any boardroom will be perfect for these units. You can have them mounted with TVs on the wall or you can roll a TV cart in and have a mobile unit. We have a few that are mobile and it’s saved us a lot of headaches in the long run.

It provides you a streamlined web experience by delivering exceptional corporate presentation where it uses the latest hybrid platforms. It gives corporate environment an additional kick when it comes to presentation, recording and data analytics (as supplemental). Cisco Room Series is also certified MS teams perfect for companies who are Microsoft partners as well as companies who are relying with Microsoft platforms. Cisco Room Series also addresses the common problems when you are doing remote work. One good example is the stability of the platform where Cisco Room Series optimizes the application, making it virtually no hiccups during production.
  • Seamless join third party application like MS Teams, Google Meet and alike
  • Huddle spaces and rooms
  • Provides Crisp and clear audio
  • Smart connectivity up to 2 screens
  • Enhanced AI camera and Audio experience
  • More plug and play type
  • Can cross switch from one specific application to another
  • Can be available via mobile
During product presentations where we can be on one screen as well on the other side where the client or customer is also on one screen as if we are doing face to face meetings. The clarity of the audio is also superb, and no need for any noise cancellation headsets or sometimes the use of in-ear monitors.

We use Cisco Room Series Kits in our conference room spaces, large and small. Cisco Room Series Kits provides us with a video conferencing solution that meets the needs of our organization. They provide us with the ability to connect to Webex, Teams, and Zoom platforms. We use the Cisco Room Series Kits for meetings that are department-based to meetings that reach the entire organization.
  • The video quality is great.
  • The control and the ability to expand hardware has been very useful.
  • Presentation sharing has been great.
  • I would like to see expanded video switching of up to 20 HDMI devices.
  • I would like 4k video throughput.
  • I would like the ability to extend auto output via IP-based speakers.
Rooms that fit up to 20 are good, but rooms that are more than 40 participants are less appropriate.

We have 2 of these Cisco Room Series devices currently in our environment. One is for an executive conference room and the other is for a large multipurpose video conference space. This system has been helpful in these spaces by providing excellent calling quality for the users and integrates nicely with the other A/V components we require in these specific spaces.
  • Ease of Configuration
  • Standardization
  • Excellent Quality
  • New features require registration to the Cloud
For larger conference room spaces, it has been very useful; I think it would be too much for a small room or huddle space.

Luckily, my company is calling us to work five times a day and we try to make every meeting face-to-face. However, sometimes, some of us can't go to work due to various reasons and that's where the Cisco Room series comes into place. Whenever we are lucky enough to have a room with this equipment, our meetings go without connection issues.
  • Spectacular Video Quality
  • Easy to Setup
  • Easy to Connect
  • Better Interface
  • Limited Training
  • Costly
When we were acting as a training department for onboarding our colleagues, we utilized the Cisco Room Series to conduct webinars. The high-quality video and audio, paired with content-sharing capabilities, ensured our onboardees received a comprehensive, interactive learning experience, regardless of their physical location, such as if they were connecting from home instead of the office.

As an SMB, we have our headquarters and a couple of other locations at some distance, or maybe even in a different country, depending on the case. Because of this geographical distance, we have several key locations equipped with Cisco Room Series devices to improve our meetings and expedite our business agenda, not having to worry about call quality or user experience, since Cisco Room equipment does the job just right (and we still don't use the latest models).
  • Improve sound quality, prioritizing voice
  • Follow the speaker automatically
  • Keeping our meetings safe
  • It could be easier to have the availability of joining a meeting of a different platform
  • USB Passthrough should be a default standard for any Room device
  • UX is the greatest, but devices could be cheaper
I would not use a Cisco Room Series device on a really small environment, or, obviously, on a Desk (but, before the Desk Series were available, there wasn't really a Cisco alternative), so I would go for the correct Cisco Room Series device for meeting rooms with a capacity of 5 people or more. For anything smaller than that, I would choose a Desk Series device.

I did not know we were equipped with the Cisco Room Series until we needed a very professional and smooth connection with our stakeholders in a meeting where stakes are very high. After that, I have started to use it frequently when we value the connection stability as well as the content. Sometimes only computer based solutions such as video conferencing tools might not be enough, so we might need hardware support where Cisco Room Series comes into place.
  • Excellent Visuals
  • Stable Connection
  • Higher Engagement
  • Not easy to setup
  • System is Costly
  • Hardware is Expensive
For multinational corporations such as ours, the Cisco Room Series allows for seamless high-definition video conferencing, connecting boardrooms worldwide. This ensures clear communication, cultivates team unity across branches, and facilitates timely decision-making without the cost and time of international travel, where we can save and also increase efficiency as much as possible.

In my organization, the room kit plus devices were implemented to equip the meeting rooms, they will help us solve collaboration problems with our clients, and we use them with showrooms for new clients. The use case to review is the deployment of room kit plus device equipment to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications to equip the transmission rooms and thus cover the collaboration needs.
  • The cameras work wonderfully.
  • Registration to the Webex platform is very easy.
  • Devices feature high-quality interoperability
  • More integration
The room kit plus are suitable for large rooms as they cover the required audio and video needs. However, it is difficult to integrate them in auditoriums since the physical ports are not enough for the integrations.

We use the Room Series for bi-directional remote classes and webconferencing. We currently have a single 4K camera above the two TVs connected to the Room Series, but this will be upgraded to two cameras and 4 TV in the near future. The system works very well currently in its limited use case but I suspect that for true remote classroom experience, the single camera system will be found inadequate. The reason for this is because it is incapable of display the instructor, the classroom with students and the annotation board at the same time. We have had some compression issues in the past with video streams when the connection becomes slower but this is to be expected. Finally, when we use this system as a SIP to connect to the zoom service, while it works really well, the dial interface incorporated with the Room Series is arcane and difficult to master. For example, sometimes we need to be able to change the view to gallery instead of active speaker. To get this to work, we have to go back to the dial menu and punch in a bunch of options to make it work. This is very cumbersome.
  • Integration with Zoom
  • Bidirectional communication for classroom
  • Peripheral integration (tablets and remotes)
  • SIP dial-in service is arcane
  • Better compression codecs to avoid video and audio artefacting
  • Better tutorials on Webex. Many of these we made ourselves after trial and error
Best suited:
Bidirectional classroom interfaces

Not well suited:

The Cisco Webex Room Kit is used to join multiple meeting types. Users are able to walk into a space and choose the meeting type of their choice. We are consistently bouncing between Microsoft Teams meetings and Cisco Webex Meetings, and the occasional Zoom or Google Meet with the touch of a button.
  • Outstanding resolution
  • MS Team integration w/ OBTP
  • Wireless content sharing using the Webex App
  • Simpler macro support, still need to make a lot on our own
  • Provide more customization directly from Control Hub w/o being on the same network
  • Would like Interop with all meeting providers w/o additional licenses
The Cisco Webex Room Kit has a higher quality meeting experience than other similar products, especially with audio and video. There is a USB passthrough and the upcoming support allowing the device to be a fully functional MS Teams Rooms device. I like that there is a lot of customization and analytics available via Control Hub.

Webex Room Kits provide the premier video collaboration experience. With 4K video, table and ceiling mics available, and high-quality speakers, there is no better system for everything from small huddle spaces to boardrooms to training room and small auditoriums. Content can be easily shared wirelessly using the Webex App for presentations and webinars. Using the state-of-the-art digital zoom and direction audio sensing technology, Speaker Track focuses on the person in the room that is currently speaking for a more personal interaction experience. With seamless integration into Webex Meetings and Microsoft Teams Meetings, current support for WebRTC with Zoom and Google Meet, and integration with Zoom on the roadmap Cisco Room Kits will join meetings on any platform for the best quality audio/video experience.
  • Speaker Track/Presenter Track of focusing on the participant speaking in the room
  • Wireless content sharing using the Webex App
  • Integrations with MS Teams for One-Button-To-Push joining of meetings
  • Better support for Zoom meeting without requiring additional licenses from the Zoom host
If there is a collaboration space, there is a Room Kit solution that is appropriate. From the Room Kit Phone that is conference table sized and enables audio-only screen sharing capabilities on an existing display to the Room Kit Pro with multiple ceiling mics and the Presenter Camera for the back of the room, there isn't a better picture or clearer audio.

The Webex Room Series is used across our company to provide Room Video services between our more than 50 office sites worldwide. Depending on the size and nature of the office, there will be multiple units available via conference rooms where users can do p2p calls or join WebEx via CMR.
  • Easy Setup
  • Excellent speaker track
  • Integrates with other products
  • Simpler troubleshooting
  • Better screen sharing(fps)
The Webex Room Series is well suited for any company utilizing Cisco products and services. It interacts well either in the cloud or registered on prem and brings a lot of options to users as how to display content or video inside a meeting. It is not appropriate for very large training rooms or very small rooms where excess noise can be disruptive.

In the company, we have remote offices and the meeting rooms have the room kit to have collaborative work between departments and foreign branches. Its performance is good, the audio quality connects via HDMI to a screen and its connection to the network can be wired or wireless. A big disadvantage is that the cost is very high compared to other products that can do similar things like Polycom.
  • The audio is of great quality.
  • Has smart microphone arrays.
  • Very simple to operate and has all the benefits of Cisco Webex.
  • Does not work with other platforms like Zoom or Microsoft team
  • It is very expensive compared to other similar products on the market like Polycom.
  • Needs cisco webex licensing which makes it even more expensive to have this equipment in small offices.
Totally appropriate in offices or meeting rooms where there are directors and perfect audio and image are needed, obviously good bandwidth and network quality are also required. I do not recommend it in schools or small offices since there are teams that for a third of its cost do very interesting things and with a very good performance. I think that if it were more accessible in terms of cost and licensing, we could find one of these in any meeting room.

The Cisco Webex Room Series is reliable, constantly improving with new capabilities as they are needed, and equipped with cutting-edge hardware. Webex is routinely utilized for all meetings. As it's the only product where everyone may sign up without any hassle. If you compare Webex Kit to similar goods on the market, you'll see that it has everything you need in one box, whereas others require you to purchase separate cables for the speaker and microphone.
  • The end-user can be taken over via a request-and-grant protocol.
  • Superior video/audio/microphone quality.
  • Having private quarters for each team member projects an image of efficiency and organization.
  • A third-party application is required for operation of the gadget.
  • The ability to follow a speaker's voice should be standard even in the most basic of systems.
  • The USB connection should only be used for the camera.
Large boardrooms and conference halls can benefit from the Cisco Webex Room Series. It could be overkill for huddle rooms, but the board, mini, and USB devices in the Room series can meet those requirements. However, where it really excels is in interoperability, as both Zoom and Microsoft Teams are more closed and designed to lock in customers for one particular provider.

We implement the Room series for a couple of reasons. First of all the actual hardware is second to none as far as audio and video quality. Secondly, Cisco does the best job of interoperability with the other meeting platforms.
  • Audio Quality
  • Video Quality
  • Interop with Zoom and MS Teams
  • Allow for a configurable meeting timer in Hybrid Calendar instead of defaulting to 5 minutes
  • Lower the cost to compete with Teams and Zoom Room devices
  • Perhaps come up with an upgrade for Speakertrack to address really large rooms
It is well suited for large conference rooms and board rooms. It is probably overkilled for huddle rooms however the smaller Room series devices like the board, mini, and USB can address those needs. Where it shines though is the interop as Zoom and MS Teams are more proprietary and aim at vendor lock-in.

Our Cisco Webex Room Series devices (fka MX Series) are used in our conference rooms and Executive offices for collaboration via Cisco Meeting Server (voice & video bridge) and via Microsoft Teams meetings via CVI (Cloud Video Interop) where users can dial into a scheduled MS Teams meeting. There are various sizes for every room size from desktop units (DX Series or now Desk series) to the larger Room Series. We currently don't have any problems or limitations at this time.
  • Whiteboarding
  • Joining a Microsoft Teams meeting
  • Joining a Google Meet meeting
  • Joining a Webex meeting
  • Manufacture them to be lighter in weight
They are well suited in conference/meeting rooms, easy to use with the tabletop touch panel, and to share content via HDMI inputs. Our users are very comfortable with them and prefer them over other manufacturers (ie: MS Teams systems) due to fewer points of failure and not many components involved from the table to the video system.

Cisco Webex Room Series provides an isolated, professional and safe environment for communication between the customer and the engineering team at our company. This tool is used for any urgent and non-urgent type of scenarios where mostly, the customer is required to share information from his/her computer screen and receives immediate assistance from the engineer on board taking control of the end-user, this of course after the customer grants permission. Also used for internal meetings where we study cases and share sensitive or private company information, this tool is our day-to-day bridge on communication.
  • Sharing live screen on great resolution.
  • Request and grant method for taking control of end user.
  • Individual rooms for each team member provide a sense of professionalism.
  • Continuous developer maintenance on bugs.
  • Faster transfer speed is always better.
  • Multiple window streaming enabling.
For any customer support or assistance, Cisco Webex Room Series is hands down the best tool to use. If a customer needs assistance on configuration for a new device, the way to go is CWRS. Anyhow for social meetings or anything not work-related it would not be the first choice, even though it is a pretty capable software for this kind of situation, simpler or popular software are preferred.
