With the Covid-19 pandemic, most of the meetings, trainings, and conferences had to be organized and held virtually. So, it required a common platform to have the conference/meetings with different people from different companies, almost from outside of the organization. When it comes to having the same access for attendees from outside organizations with more security, Webex App has helped a lot.
  • Webex can be accessed through browser, without downloading and installing the software
  • Instant schedule capability for urgent meetings
  • capability to add to the calendar for proper scheduling
  • The interface of the application needs to be improved. The most information is hard to find
  • It would be great if they had a directory that you could consult for the meeting dial-in numbers
  • More control options can be added for the organizer to control, and accept those controls when inviting the attendees in advance
Although there are some specific disadvantages of Webex app, the options they have given, are within the one of the best meeting apps compared to others. So, it is fair to recommend Webex to use to schedule meetings, conferences and inter-organizational calls. While MS Teams is more suitable for inter-organization meetings, Webex is more suitable for every other meetings.

We use it for calls scheduled by Cisco employees. If it's scheduled by our organization, we use Microsoft Teams.
  • Share screen is easy and fast
  • Option to Pause Screen Share
  • Stable
  • Too dark
  • Not very intuitive
  • The organization of attendees during calls is weird and the change options are limuted
  • Layout seems outdated
  • A bit complex sometimes
Possibility to pause the screen share is definetly a plus. This allows to navigate to other windows, while the screen keeps being shared with the audience.
However, the calls on temas are not pleasant, the layout is too fixed, dark and looks outdated. After the call window is minimize is tricky to get back on the default display.

My company has used the many different iterations of Cisco's desktop IM client. I currently use it daily on a Mac. It is available company-wide but I only find about 25% of my coworkers online on Webex Teams. I mostly use it to speak with Cisco directly as well as participate in Meeting Rooms.
  • Mac Designed and User Friendly
  • Easy to perform basic tasks
  • Familiar UI as previous editions
  • Finding some of the advanced features was cumberson if you didn't know how/where to look
  • Not as highly integrated as the main competition (MSFT)
If you are an all Cisco shop this definitely makes sense however, even that justification is becoming lesser and lesser. Pricing would be another use case as it can be bundled in with all of your other Cisco products and services. Obviously the ability to speak directly to Cisco and participate in their Webex Teams Rooms is great. The situation that I'm currently in is using both MS Teams for internal communications and then Webex Teams for some external communications w/ Cisco and Customers.

WebEx is a great collaboration tool to connect with business stakeholders for solving daily problems . Its very light tool with great features like backgrounds , audio tuning , video support features etc for a quality call experience. The scheduling of webinars, meeting is easy with the clear instructions . The support for WebEx tool is also great with quick resolution if we encounter any problem . Overall it's a great tool.

  • 3rd party integration
  • Connectivity
  • More collaboration option
WebEx application is well suited for all the teams in the organisations for daily catchup calls , sprint calls and also to collaborate with customer to explain the business developments .

Cisco WebEx Is less appropriate to companies which are not customer facing directly and also with the teams who are on the same site .

Webex is a great tool for arranging meetings, making calls, making hybrid work more collaborative and so much more. The web app and mobile app are outstanding, the login and connectivity is quick and efficient, and I've never had audio or connection issues while using webex. I'm a huge fan and really appreciate Webex and all that it offers!

We use it for all formal meetings large-scale events and informal calls in our organization. It solves the problem of connecting and collaborating with each other whilst working in a hybrid environment, it makes it easy to check-in and contact people no matter where you are or what device you are using

Webex App is well suited to face-to-face meetings over video when the people in question are either in the office or at home. It's also great for team meetings and large-scale meetings for the whole company when updates and presentations are needed. It's less appropriate for sending files and videos to people

We use Cisco Jabber as a communciation tool throughout the company and use it for instant messaging and making calls internally and externally . We also use it for video calls, although we are now using Microsoft Teams and Zoom more for this as our external clients use these platforms as their main collaboration platforms. We use other Cisco products are pleased with the overall conenctivity and seamless operation between them and Cisco Jabber.
  • Trutworthy
  • Simplified and Easy to operate
  • Intuitive to use
  • Reliable
  • Multi-purpose
  • Exceptional Customer Support
  • Greater connectivity with applciations like Microsoft Teams, Slack etc
  • More engaging user interface
  • Greater integration with embedded features from other CISCO products
As aforementioned it works brilliantly with other CISCO products, but works equally well on its own. Cisco Jabber always has clear and uninterrupted calls. I never experience any lag or latency on these calls. Similarly, video calls are almost always clear and smooth. I can connect instantaneously with colleagues and co-workers and one never misses any communication. The GUI is clear and easy to use, while events and alerts are always invisible. I’ve used Cisco Jabber on other sites when I’m connecting with my main office (where I’m located) and the communication is always excellent and free of any disruption – it’s as if I’m on my main site. In terms of downsides - My main worry in the future is that it will lose out to the likes of Teams and Zoom as more companies use these for video conferencing purposes. Also with Teams, most companies use Outlook, OneDrive, Office 365, Sharepoint and other Microsoft products which gives them an added advantage to integrate all these products seamlessly with Teams. It connects brilliantly with Cisco's Multi-factor authentication system as well. It's interaction with Cisco's WebEx can at times be unwieldly and it can take time to connect for video calls.

To collaborate on projects and quick chats in our department. I do wish more of our company would adopt it as I believe it is a great tool for collaboration between people and to stop the back-and-forth emails that get lost, and some people don't know how to use reply-all when they need to, and the discussion chain gets lost in email. This keeps everything for that project in one spot and the ability to start a quick meeting and/or whiteboard is awesome! We recently moved from Jabber over to Webex and similarity between Jabber and Webex is becoming more and more with every update. There are still quite a few features missing in Webex that we had in Jabber that we do miss.
  • Being able to have it on all of my devices.
  • The ability to answer from any device and have the whole conversation there.
  • It is free for basic use so anyone can join in the conversation.
  • The TAC Connect BOTS is awesome! Any BOT on there is cool.
  • Every update they keep surprising me!
  • After moving over to Webex from Jabber, lacking features that were very useful in Jabber
  • Not everyone using it!
  • Trying to get our users to use it to its full potential!
  • The ability to hide the add/left bot comments on a moderated space.
  • Still a lot of features from Jabber are missing including Alert when available
  • Better Presence status linked with Outlook as far as busy or in a meeting
Being able to send out a quick message to our department about something instead of it getting lost in email. The ability to see all the files in one place instead of scrolling back through. Also, using it with my family is nice too as they use the free version, so I can still talk to them even when I am out of town. Being able to pop it open on my mobile phone is essential! Having the conversation right there or being able to have a video call with someone back at the office while remote is key!

Cisco Jabber is an instant messaging, voice messaging, and video call conference platform that my company used to use when communicating before we switched to Zoom and Slack. It was purposefully used to increase communication in our completely remote business for internal purposes (rather than using it externally with clients and partners).
  • User interface is nice
  • Support material was good
  • Cisco is reliable and not overwhelmed like Zoom
  • It's not a power player among the giants and its felt
  • Configuration can at times be difficult
  • Recognition and use have a bit of a learning curve because it isn't as common of a platform
It's fine. It works and it's fine. If I had to go back to it again, I would be okay. I can communicate with my team and others around our company without any issues. I can quickly share my screen or log into a call or message someone within a few keystrokes.

Working from home and from different locations other than the office is more common each day, so having a tool to help connect people on the go was crucial. This is particularly import to connect with external stakeholders as not all companies have access to a video chat or a call through webex or teams.
  • Local and international calls through the computer
  • Quick access to join webex/teams calls
  • Tool is user friendly
  • Voice mail sometimes got stuck
As digital transformation came into the company, we went from everybody having a phone to having soft phones installed in our computers. I didn't feel much difference until working from home became more common and even as I started to travel abroad, then having access to my phone right from my computer through an internet connection became a big plus. The tool has been particularly useful when connecting with companies or stakeholders that only have a landline to contact them.

Cisco Webex App is used by our Sales, Pre Sales and technical people to do Instant Messaging and document exchange. Also, we include external organisations in our spaces like customers or Cisco guys if needed. As Cisco Webex App is open with any company and offers a free version, anyone can use it and join our space to collaborate.
  • Easy to use, wizard at first time launching.
  • Lots of improvement at each new version.
  • Find feature allows you to find everything everywhere.
  • The calling part has been improved and lots of feature now
  • Control Hub is not very easy to use for claim free users.
Cisco Webex App is very well suited for collaboration in the company. You can easily deploy the app for every user. As there is open API you can integrate the solution with your backend to create spaces when a new GLPI ticket is created or a new customer is trying to contact you on your website.

We have been using Cisco Webex Teams within our Support Team since it was originally Project Squared, right through the Cisco Spark days, and up until now. We use it to collaborate and share information to help each other to troubleshoot and discuss end-user issues with equipment and services we support. We have increased the scope of this to also communicate with some of our external suppliers to easily request and receive quotations for work or equipment. This allows us to be much more responsive and get information back and forth between people or companies very quickly and easily, from any device we may be carrying at the time (Phone, Laptop, Tablet, etc).
  • Easy access from any type of device.
  • Contains all communications over time - can scroll back, or search easily to find information.
  • Quick and secure messaging.
  • Ability to import contacts from other apps (ie O365) to see if they are also Webex users
Great for communications and collaboration within small groups. In a larger group, the amount of traffic can get a little unorganised quite quickly. Thankfully, the search tool works very well and, if you know what you are looking for, it is quite easy to find what you are looking for.

We currently utilize Webex as a centralized messaging platform across multiple departments at our institution. By leveraging both the PC and mobile application solutions, Webex allows us to have a real-time communication platform for collaboration on various projects and endeavors within Webex Spaces. We also have utilized the meeting functionality for both scheduled and unscheduled meetings between multiple parties.
  • Real-time communication.
  • Quick meeting functionality, whether via audio only or with video.
  • Customization within chat channels and spaces.
  • Wide variety of third-party integrations.
  • Currently, Webex and Webex Meetings are two separate apps. This would be nice to see integrated into one combined app.
  • More status options would be welcome.
  • More apps in the App Hub would always be a positive.
  • Ability to create bots for chat channels.
Webex is an awesome platform for UCaaS. As a previous user of other platforms, I can honestly say that Webex is the smoothest solution that I have encountered so far. The solution is further enhanced by utilizing other Cisco products, such as a Webex Room Kit for conference rooms. The customization of software platform allows a significant amount of functionality to be added in addition to outside-of-the-box solutions. Overall, I would highly recommend Webex for anyone looking for a UCaaS solution.

We are using it in an ad-hoc manner. Different departments have the ability to use different software. Depending on the needs, or who they are trying to communicate with [they] have the ability to determine the best software for their needs. The use is on a department by department, or almost a user by user basis.
  • Video.
  • Call quality.
  • Visual appeal.
  • Layout is sometimes unintuitive.
  • Controls are not obvious at times.
  • Setup instructions are sometimes confusing for new users.
Webex is like all the other video communications pieces of software out there. It generally works well and can be used for all types of situations. We use it where the client also uses it or has a preference for it. Or, if individuals are used to it they are free to use it as well. It works well where any meeting software is needed or if your clients are using the product.

The application is seamless for hosting meetings, workflow automation, and communicating with the business. It seems to be the most reliable, secure, and user-friendly tool that caters to all needs. Its reporting features and integration with popular applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Drive are very helpful to collaborate across platforms.
  • File Sharing option to share the files instantly to the participants
  • Live polling feature to get instant recommendations
  • Chat and Reactions feature to be connected throughout the meeting
  • Resource intensive - Application could be more light-weight
  • Requires more bandwidth
  • Initial setup of the application could be more straight-forward
Webex has some standout features like the scalability it offers to deploy across the organization, its advanced security features, and the platform with all the required features such as phone calls, video meetings, chat, file sharing, etc., in a single application. It is seamless to connect across multiple mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms. One thing that needs improvement is that the application could be more lightweight and less resource-intensive.

We use this application to communicate with customers. We have this application installed on our business computer. We can use this application everywhere. This application is very good because of the good sound quality and reliability. We never have complaint about the sound quality when we use this software. This is the reason we keep using it.
  • sound quality
  • good connection for the voice over internet
  • Transmission of the sound is clear for the recipient
  • have possibility to call using the mouse only
  • to be able to change the color background of the app.
  • have more ringtone
This software is perfect to manage a lot of incoming calls as for calling to the outside as well. The protocol of sending and converting the sound over the internet is very strong and solid. This is the reason we like this software. The good sound quality. It sounds like a regular phone. This is not the case of some other software that make you sound like a robot. I don't see anything that is not appropriate for this software .

We use Webex as a primary communicator in our organisation which helps in our day to day’s activities on virtual calls, presentations etc., especially at the current situation where everyone is bound to working from home. Webex provided us uninterrupted support during these times without a downtime faced in the past 2 years of pandemic work from office situations.
  • Conference calls.
  • Virtual presentations.
  • Text communication.
  • Image and content sharing.
  • Unable to copy paste screenshot in Mac.
  • Wide range of reaction support like Slack.
  • Permanent status instead of temporary.
Well suited in work-from-home situations. I would say Webex is my virtual communication and social gathering place with my colleagues and I never remember facing a downtime using webex in those work-from-home years due to Covid. But there are still a few areas where there is always room for improvement for Webex that I have mentioned in my previous points.

The product is used to allow enriched collaboration between colleagues.
  • Share content
  • Perform team meetings
  • Share documents
  • Communicate one to one and in group
  • It can be tricky to use the calling part
  • Sometimes the app launches the Webex Meetings app
  • The pairing with video endpoints

It's a daily tool to communicate with all employees and a lot of clients and providers. We collaborate by sharing screens, audio, video conferencing. Day after day is improving as fast as the cloud develops itself. The usual improvement speed of cloud services is really taken advantage of.Today's Webex App has evolved into a complete solution for enterprise communications, providing all available options to contact whoever we need, being with a chat message, a voice call or a collaboration meeting.
  • Usability in all platforms
  • Monthly improvements, a lot of new features
  • Easy to add new users, even when they don't have a paid account
  • It demands a good hardware for the heavy clients and/or mobile devices.
  • Not all features are available around the globe because of regulations or carriers limitations
It's easier to describe a scenario where Teams wouldn't be suitable rather than all the scenarios where it is a great tool. Being part of the Cisco UC Solutions, makes it one of the most powerful tools around, if not the most powerful one available. Teams, meetings, and calls are all different faces of the same object.

We use the Webex app as part of our Cisco Unified Communications package. Webex is primarily used for intra-company chat. It is available to all employees and connected to our Active Directory and integrated with Single Sign-on. For this, it is a very useful tool. It is also integrated with our Cisco IP telephony system to allow VoIP calls, even when away from the office. This integration also allows us to review voicemail and do screen-sharing for impromptu meetings.
  • Intra-company chat. It is a very competent chat client with many added features like file sharing, screen sharing, status and location updates , and emoji.
  • Telephony integration for VoIP calling (including video calling with a webcam) and voicemail access.
  • Integration with WebEx to review meeting calendar and launch meetings from one window.
  • The mobile app could use some optimization for both iOS and Android. It is a bit of a battery hog, but it does function well.
  • File sharing is not as seamless as it could be. Sometimes file transfers fail or timeout before completing.
  • Telephony connections outside of organization network. Occasionally the connection with our IP telephony system will disconnect when on an external network if you do not have a VPN connection.
Webex is part of our official enterprise communication suite, so there really is no other choice for us. With that said, it is a very good tool and better than our previous system. The integration with the Cisco suite is fantastic and really makes it a seamless tool that requires very little thought or training. It's a solid solution for anyone looking for intra-company communication via IM.

Webex application is an integrated platform in which we can perform online meetings, calls, messaging. During the project discussion and virtual meetings we use WebEx platform. There is not many platforms which has different types of interactive options but webex gives all options such as calls, messages, online meetings. It is very easy to use even a new employee also familiarise with it. With all these features it also supported during low internet broadband.
  • Integrated messaging
  • Large number of participants
  • Easy user interface
  • Screen sharing
  • Improve working of white board
  • Application optimisation in different devices
  • Voice break downs in meetings
During our project sessions all employees will discuss the details of project and asks for any advices. But sometimes video meeting will be distributed due to several problems but this WebEx provides also instant messaging service which will also work in low internet coverage. Webex is the main communication platform I personally use at work. Phone calls, messaging, and on-line meetings are my main uses of this app. Instead of using the office phone handset, I'm able to pick up my calls and listen to voicemails directly from Webex & use my headset. The ability to create or join on-line meetings is very simple. The meetings are easy to view and the functions are basic but user friendly. The meetings can be recorded and a transcript is emailed to the host afterwards. I use the app to send a message to others, instead of calling. I'm able to incorporate screenshots and files within the message. The message history is saved for me to reference, if necessary. Webex has included emoticons for a couple areas, which is handier for acknowledging or responding to a message or during an online meeting. The one feature that I wish was more robust was the meeting recording. It would be nice to have an option for the visual recording of the meeting, especially if something is shared on-screen. A transcript of these items doesn't make sense as it pertains to a visual you're unable to see.
  • Messaging to others is simple and keeps the history for future reference
  • On-Line Meetings are simple to use and have reminders that pop-up right before the meeting with a link to join.
  • Can record meetings and have a type out transcript provided afterwards.
  • Recording a meeting doesn't allow for a visual recording, only a transcipt of what was spoken.
  • Staff had difficulty determining how to find the keypad for making phone calls as it is a small icon to switch between this & the last person called (if shown on screen).
Webex is great for meetings and collaborating with others. It is easy to schedule a meeting on the fly or you can send a link to your personal meeting room for others to join, that is under your control. The messaging feature is handy as most people are used to texting & this feature mimics this. Voice messages are stored here & categorized by Read/Undread/Trash.

Webex App is being used by every employee in our organisation. As a Cisco Gold Partner, we also resell this technology to our clients and provide ongoing support. It addresses and fulfills our requirement for global collaboration, which is integral to how we work. We are passionate about Webex and all its features, and this transfers to our clients.
  • One tool for collaboration.
  • Global communication.
  • Standardisation.
  • Notifying automatically of where issues may lie (eg connection).
  • Tips on new features.

Great for enabling employees to communicate quickly back and forth with messaging or create quick ad-hoc meetings when messaging just won't do. Super simple to set up and join meetings and share a screen. Also works great as a softphone or when connected to a physical phone and making calls. Calendar option to show you daily meetings makes it simple to see whats on the agenda for today
