  • Negative is that their reach numbers, or what they call UMVs are most often incorrect when compared to Trendkite.
  • Negative is that they are unable to tell us how they get to the UMV numbers but they can tell us that they don't use the unique monthly visitors to that website-so then why do they call it UMVs?
  • Positive is that sometimes when we quickly need to find editor information, we're able to do so.
  • Negative is that probably 3 out of 5 times that I'm searching for a new contact on Cision, they do not have them in their database and they take 7 days to get back to me. So when the pitch needs to go out urgently and Cision takes 7 days, it negatively impacts our relationship with the client and they question our ability to do our jobs.

  • We know who/where to send our information, without wasting time with outlets and reporters that are not interested in the information we are presenting.
  • We have hard analytics that compare areas getting plenty of coverage versus those we may need to focus in on a bit more.
  • The reporting of mentions in the news from locally to internationally went from a handful to a page full daily once we started using this system.
  • We no longer spend money on media directories that are out-of-date within the year.
