Citrix has solved a massive parking issue by having 100s of people a day remote in to free up parking. This directly saves times which equates to more consistent hours of work being done without obstacles.

It's allowed teams to be more flexible with times of work allowing some key members to a particular project the ability to always be available if there is an emergency. There is way less delay in issues being tended to this way which moves tasks along in a project that much faster.

Certainly we had a positive ROI impact while being able to access files when out of office.

Hard to configure at the beginning with our network, maybe this cost was not expected.

Saved us millions perhaps in damages that could of happened if our web applications were hacked.

Positive: Has been a great security endpoint when publishing to external users (international).

Positive: has had minimal downtime over the past 2 years.

Negative: Has a learning curve and GUI isn't as friendly as one would hope but still usable.

Positive in replacing our aging IPSEC VPN solution from Checkpoint.

Consolidated several network appliances (Checkpoint VPN and F5 load-balancers) as well as Riverbed WAN accelerators.

GSLB feature improved high availability globally for all our sites with uniform user experience across the globe.

Positive impact only I would say, with allowing employees to easily access their software needed for daily work.

Positive - High Uptime, no unscheduled downtimes

Positive - Ease of configuration, little to no maintenance.

Negative - poor official documentation from manufacturer.

We intended for the NetScaler appliances to replace older load-balancing appliances. We were able to migrate to the NetScalers without any issues and they have been reliable (with the addition of several extra services).

Failures experienced by the NetScalers in HA groups have been few and have not had any impact to the business.

Citrix support experience has been positive in both troubleshooting issues and supplying RMAs for replacement equipment.

No negatives for me

Positive was the amount of clients we managed through our NetScaler which was 5,000+ users.

Features - There are many features to be used that we haven't quite gotten to.

Licensing - The need for licensing is one of those necessary evils.

Reporting - It gave our management team the requested graphs and statistics on usage.
