Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Well suited scenarios of use: 1) BI (Board) and consolidation (Talentia) software installed on headquarters' server and access distributed to controlled companies all around the world: no installation required into sister companies (located in 9 different countries) and a controlled environment where the company can access 2) SAP B1 is installed on every sister company (locally) and access is granted to headquarters controllers and administrative employees without direct server access Less appropriate: 1) no access to a specific server and no possibility to monitor system performance when a solution is released. 2) strong dependency on IT intervention that creates inefficiency and "internal war" in the case of data analyst or hybrid controller (i.e. Board developer) that have the needs of freedom in terms of access.

I feel if you are starting to use a Remote Desktop connection, Citrix Virtual Apps is a good option. It will help you understand the basics and give you a perspective and great experience to handle these applications. However, when you understand and get experience on the same, you sometimes feel the need to try other peer applications for better performance and to avoid any network issues if any. As Citrix Virtual Apps tend to be a bit slow and are liable to some performance issues over a period of time.

I have rated Citrix Virtual Apps (formerly XenApp) 9/10 for a recommendation because there is still scope for improvement. Although, it is quite useful for someone who wants to work remotely without going to the office. It can be used from the office as well depending upon the type of usage. I have personally used it as a tool for working from home.

Citrix Virtual Apps is well suited for environments that require remote access with 25 or more users. It is not appropriate for small sites with 10 or fewer users due to the cost of ownership. Citrix Virtual Apps pricing plus Windows RDS licensing as well is required. Smaller organizations may not find the cost-benefit due to overall costs and/or the cost of managing the environment.

Citrix XenApp is useful when third-party vendors or customers have a need to access internal resources with restrictions. If configured properly, it prevents any company data, proprietary code, or trade secrets from being downloaded and removed from company premise.

External auditors are quicker to approve the use of Citrix as a trusted resource due to the credibility of the company.

XenApp is best suited for employees who want to access business applications while at home or off the company network that they otherwise would not be able to access. People who work from home or travel a lot would benefit most from using XenApp though anyone could use it.

Large enterprises with hundreds or thousands of users across many geographical locations are ideal candidate for Citrix XenApp. For medium enterprises, Citrix also offers XenApp in the cloud which is a hybrid cloud model where management servers are in the cloud and the company can host the worker servers locally or in preferred data center setup. Xenapp is also ideal for applications that requires frequent update to users and to ensure all users have access to the same version of the application from anywhere, any device, and any type of network connection.

Xenapp, which is really a part of a combo product also called Xendesktop, is well suited in any situation where you want to just publish specific applications to users vs. whole desktops (VDI). It is also a great solution for users who are remote but need a similar user experience to people who are local to data or applications being offered by a company. It even works fairly well with low bandwidth offices.
Finally Xenapp is also a good solution for a common interface across multiple devices.
Xenapp is not a good solution for any situation that will feature network and internet access
not being available at all times. People who are travelling a lot and rarely sitting in one location will be frustrated by the need to have constant internet access to access their data.

Well suited for an expensive application a handful of staff uses. Also for high staff turn over limiting the multiple installations on workstations and flexibility to utilize multiple in office/remote devices/workstations.

Not well suited for power hungry applications, such as utilizing CPU, Memory, Bandwidth. Adobe products for example work fine however a strong user could see performance issues due to bandwidth and shared resources. This is when local installation is best.

Anytime an enterprise or small business has a need for flexible, fast, and mobile application delivery on any device, XenApp is a no brainer. With XenApp you can deliver any application, to any user, on any device, anywhere in the world. For business continuity and flexibility, it doesn't get any better than that.

Because of it's versatility, I hesitate to think of XenApp as a niche product. The largest hindrances would revolve around resources; sufficient storage, virtualization, memory last but not least human resources (trained engineers). XenApp as a whole has a tendency to expose shortcomings in an environment that may have gone unnoticed prior to deployment. This can be a shortage of IOPS in the storage array, over subscription of CPU/Memory in the hypervisor or a lack of general Systems Administration skills.

XenApp is great for both small organizations and large organizations. If you have a lot of applications you need to access for end users, or your users work from home, or are on the road a lot then XenApp will help get them the access they need. You do not have to worry about installing on multiple computers and keeping those computers updated.

The environment in which we deploy this solution spans multiple operating systems and requires special security requirements. XenApp scales well and overall has a great set of features that no other competition can compete with. They also price well at the corporate level which makes dynamic environments work well as they scale up.

XenApp is very well suited whenever there is a need to provide published applications or desktops to a group, department, or organization of users. I would definitely recommend it due to its scalability, security, ease of use and deployment, and its ability to provide a seamless desktop and application experience for its users.

Some applications do not work well in a multi-user setup. But as long as your application can be run on a server by multiple users simultaneously, it may be a good candidate for XenApp.
