The fastest way to use your apps
- business continuity
- segregation of role
- no possibility to access via RDP
- Citrix Virtual Apps reduce your cost significantly. Operating on the cloud helps you cut costs on not only network infrastructure but also on the human resources required to maintain it.
- I can see no negative impact however in case the Citrix Virtual Apps are facing any network issues or downtime then it becomes a bit of an issue as you are dependent on the same for your network connectivity and applications access. However, you can raise a ticket and their support is great and helps you fix the issues ASAP.
- It helps to efficient while working from home
- can deploy mutiple softwares for the usage by one individual
- handy to use

XenApp 6.5 Review
- Turn around time for deployment of applications is very quick as long as there are no specific needs to the default user profiles.
- With a proper deployment of XenApp server, it is possible to migrate through specific application updates with no downtime to the user.
- Adding additional seats to the license usually comes with a lot of up-sell before the sales rep will actually sell you the license you need.
- The requirement of Microsoft RDS to run Citrix XenApp doubles the cost required to run and adds an additional server. RDS could be used alone to do the same thing Citrix does.
- The cost of upgrading (and dependencyon on) RDS licenses prevents us from upgrading the citrix environment.
- Once setup, it is fairly stable and requires very little admin intervention.
- Our External Auditors quickly approved Citrix as a security tool.

XenApp - Allowing Users to Be Productive From Anywhere
- I only support users of XenApp and would not know what impact this has had on overall business objectives.

Why you have to select Citrix XenApp for Applications Virtualization an secure access
- We don´t have ROI, it is only security access to our networks, DMZ and applications
- XenApp has allowed us to continue support of legacy applications and all access of those applications to users across the globe with any device.
- XenApp can also manage software licenses by restricting number of users, number of concurrent sessions, or combination of both to required specification.
- While initial investment in XenApp can be costly, continuing support and upgrade are very cost effective and product stability is excellent.
- While there are competing products from Microsoft and VMware, when it comes to remote application access, XenApp is the best of breed.

Citrix Xenapp is your one stop shop for application virtualization and offering services to low bandwidth offices.
- Xenapp has a large ROI in our specific situation in that it allows us to have one main set of applications published out to dozens of remote employees as if the applications where local. We would not be able to run our enterprise like we do without Xenapp at the helm/front and center of giving everyone access each day.
- Although not the main user for it, Xenapp also allows all users the ease of working from home as needed since it is a common interface across all the different devices you use. This has allowed our users to access it from their home PC's thus saving the company money in having to outfit them with specific needs at their house.
- Since Xenapp allows us to upgrade our applications only on the servers it saves us countless dollars that would have to be spent going around to everyone's PC's to make needed upgrades as they become available.

Citrix XenApp works for us.
- Positive impact in regards to desktop standardization.
- Up front costs are a bit high (licensing), but we should see that level out throughout the use of the product.

XenApp your go to application delivery product
- XenApp allows BYOD which can save companies millions each year on hardware alone.
- XenApp eliminates the need for an actual physical or virtual desktop. Just give the users what they need, and that is access to their applications.

Still the king.
- Again I'll be going back to the consistent experience. From the top to the bottom, from the administrators point of view, all the way down to the user.

XenApp in Your World
- We can keep our workstations longer since all the processing happens on the server.
- Supporting end users and not having to deal with application issues globally is very helpful.
- XenApp licenses are either per device or user and it has to be renewed each year. Operating costs are high with it, but you can opt out of getting support after a year if you desire.
