We were using Clearslide primarily for sales and marketing initiatives to present custom presentation for new prospective clients for in-person and online presentations.
  • Clearslide helps sales execs and managers track presentation opens sent through email prospecting pretty well.
  • Clearslide helps you manage presentations with multimedia creative assets, but struggles a bit with video streaming and managing video assets.
  • Clearslide converts PowerPoint presentations to online viewing formats with some limited formatting issues.
  • Clearslide's auto-renew billing practices are brutal, and they do not inform customers before they charge your credit card. They should give customers alert in time so that they can reasonably cancel before the auto-renew period, especially if you cannot use their service.
  • Clearslide doesn't always work well when you need it. If you are giving a presentation in a corporate environment with restricted internet access, you could be at a complete loss to deliver your presentation. Syncing issues abound, so it doesn't always make for a professional presentation option.
  • Clearslide's customer success/customer support is non-existant in that they won't help you with issues - especially with billing and technical problems.
Clearslide is well-suited for pitching to small businesses or giving simple online versions of PowerPoint presentations. Clearslide doesn't perform well if your sales team needs to present proposals to large corporations with restricted internet access, or for those sales teams who want to present multi-format creative solutions like video. And quite frankly, their draconian stealthy auto-renew billing policies that charge credit accounts without notice and their refusal to reverse charges for companies who have not used or cannot use their service makes their solution, even more, cost prohibitive.

  • Clearslide is extremely easy to access for a live pitch if you suddenly have a hot prospect on the phone. You just need to give them your URL so they can access the pitch. You have complete control over the pitch and can quickly screen share if you want to show them something outside of your pitch deck.
  • Send email market updates to clients and prospects in mass email. Can see when and how often recipient opens email as well as when they access any pitch material you include. You can also send pitch material as a link within an Outlook email.
  • Just started using videos to connect with prospects. Clearslide provides an easy to use platform for making and uploading your videos using a smart phone.
  • When typing up an email pitch within clearslide, it does not allow you to save a draft if you have to go to a different screen for some reason. Have to start email over again.
ClearSlide is well suited for quick live pitches as well as delivering easy to view material to a prospect or client.

  • Before ClearSlide, I had to schedule WebEx or GoToMeetings AND WAIT until I could present our services more clearly. Now that I have ClearSlide, I am able to jump right into my presentations when I first have my clients on the phone, which essentially skips the step of scheduling a demo or meeting. This has dramatically shortened my sales cycle.
  • Most of the time when I’m doing sales, I am presenting to someone who needs to capture all my key points and present them to the decision maker (or the Board of Trustees). ClearSlide has essentially turned me into a Sales trainer where I walk my prospects through our processes and then they are prepared to sell my companies services to the decision maker for me. This has boosted my revenue for the two primary business services my company offers.
  • I love the features where you can drop a "pin" on the various slides I'm presenting, guiding the clients eyes as I navigate the slides. This helps keep the client engaged on our call instead of "zoning out". This helps me present my services faster which saves time. Time is Money!
  • If they could have a better way to schedule meetings/webinars.
  • Allow the ability to drop "pins" on the Live screen share demo. You can only do this on the slides you have loaded on the application.

  • Extremely user friendly, the interface with gmail is fabulous as quick as attaching a document.
  • The notification system tells me when my client has previewed the material, how much time was spent viewing and offers a perfect invitation to call and speak to the client to move the sales process to the next step.
  • The responsiveness and enthusiasm of the ClearSlide support team is terrific.
  • The detailed analysis and data available any time helps me to see what presentations are the most effective and how I need to direct my sales efforts to increase sales.
  • I would like to have a tutorial to create my own presentations more efficiently. I don't take the time to do it and would love to learn. It is sometimes difficult for me to upload items if they are not in a format it will accept. video, etc.
  • It is pretty easy to use right now, the only improvement I could see would be to drag and drop a document or presentation in or out of the data base, like apple products.

I am a part of The National Inside Sales teams at Target Media Partners, meaning we call businesses nationwide. ClearSlide gives my team the ability to conduct live presentation with or without a webcam. The webcam is a great way be there without having to physically be there. It also gives you the opportunity to combine a voice recording with a presentation deck and email it to a prospective client. ClearSlide then notifies you when the prospective client is viewing the document and how long they spend on each slide. I actually closed a couple of deals with this feature! It's definitely user friendly on all fronts, but if you need help with any features, ClearSlide has representative to walk you through the process.
  • ClearSlide solution is so seamless. Uploading a presentation deck is as simple as upload a photo to Facebook. You can upload multiple types of files from Word Docs, PowerPoint, Excel, even Openoffice and Keynote files just to name a few. You can change the deck as a moments notice.
  • Email Pitches are the best! It's a hyperlink to either the presentation or a customize proposal. I usually send them right after I have completed a webinar/presentation as a recap of our products and services. ClearSlide sends you an email notification when your email pitch it's being viewed by the receiving party.
  • Live Pitch and Screen Sharing are definitely user friendly! You email a link to the client. The client clicks on the link and it takes them directly to the webinar. It's that simple.
  • It would be awesome if ClearSlide had some type of follow-up/reminder tool that's linked to Outlook or any calendar to call the customer back. Meaning once all notes are recorded into ClearSlide you could set a reminder to pop-up on the day of the follow-up call through ClearSlide or Outlook. I would love that!
ClearSlide is a great tool for any workforce looking for a cost effective way to reach potential clients outside of their local market. It's also an excellent tool for establishments that send out email marketing pieces on a regular basis. It's definitely a great tool for schools like The Art Institutes when they send potential students material on the school. Did I mention it's a must have for all organizations with and inside sales team?

Our sales department uses ClearSlide for marketing and sales interactions with potential and current customers. We use ClearSlides' live pitch (screen share) function for reliable client meetings when face-to-face meetings aren't possible. We utilize the analytics provided from marketing emails to target motivated buyers and help eliminate cold prospects. The analytics provided from the marketing emails help save our sales reps time and raise out close rates.

When the goal of an organization is to provide a platform that is simple for presenting slide decks, ClearSlide is an excellent product. You do not run into the issues of client loads and the technical delays that are associated with Lync, Adobe, WebEx, GoToMeeting and many of its competitors.

During my time at the AroundCampus Group (Formerly University Directories) our inside sales department used ClearSlide during our renewal period and we also used it for some new sales. I found that ClearSlide was generally easy for me as the presenter to use but often times it was confusing for our customers to get a gauge. My general observation was that they just didn't quite understand the concept of what ClearSlide was trying to do so it took a little bit of explaining. In terms of using ClearSlide in a sales capacity I think it has a market and that is for "new sales". Since most of what I was doing was account management and renewals, going through presentations on ClearSlide really didn't provide much value and often just made the renewal process even longer. It almost forced us to re-pitch our product when we didn't make enough changes to warrant a full presentation. In terms of the new sales we did virtually however, ClearSlide was extremely useful. It allowed us to present to prospects in a time efficient way and allowed us the opportunity to not travel out to the customers.

We used ClearSlide to connect and present to potential partner companies and their employees. ClearSlide is invaluable when thinking about convenience and daily limitations of clients. ClearSlide takes out the commute to the meeting place and allows a person to present in a professional, clean and easy way. You are able to present live, send a presentation and track the viewing.
  • Live presentations - you can send a link and present live! They can even pull up the presentation and send to others who might be interested.
  • Sending a presentation - they can view at their convenience and you can be alerted they are viewing.

ClearSlide is used by members of our sales team to present materials to clients and prospective clients. This allows our team to provide a visual walk through proposals and capabilities presentations. Our team also utilizes ClearSlide's conferencing system to connect with multiple clients at once to present this information. ClearSlide makes it easy to send presentations through email as well as track who is viewing the presentation so that we know when to follow up.
  • Allows you to send presentations through email as well as tracks the amount of time the client spent on each slide. This is especially helpful when there are quotes included in our presentations so that we are able to see which option clients are most interested in and can follow up on the presentation.
  • The conference system on ClearSlide allow us to connect with multiple parties at once to present the information we are trying to get across.

We use ClearSlide in Workforce Solutions-our business to business sales team. ClearSlide is used for prospecting new clients and engaging our current customers. In addition, we use ClearSlide for product or service campaigns with our clients and students.

From the field representative perspective, ClearSlide provides visibility into whether or not our message is being received and which part of our messages are more appealing to the audience. The feedback I receive from our representatives is that ClearSlide takes the guessing out of when and how to follow up on messages sent. In addition, they appreciate the tracking feature, it helps them understand where their messages are going within their clients.

From a leadership perspective, ClearSlide provides us valuable analytics into the activity and productivity of our team. We are able to coach through productivity gaps with solid data and share key topics that resonate with our clients to the entire team. My management team also utilizes the Live Pitch to share screens with their representatives regarding specific coaching topics or bottlenecks. We are a virtual workforce so the ability to share data in real time is important to our coaching.
  • ClearSlide makes it incredibly easy to upload presentations, edit and share with our clients quickly
  • The analytics and view tracking features help with productivity
  • The Live Pitch option provides our representative to present on the fly which is key when you finally get ahold of that key decision maker
  • The CS Connect, CS Remote and CS Outside apps help our representatives stay productive when they are out in the field

I believe it is just used in my department instead of WebEx. It allows us to make product presentations and hold training sessions on products with customers.

ClearSlide is currently utilized in our Admissions department. We were looking for a technology solution to enhance our student experience as a prospective student was gathering information on their college search.

  • Updates with browsers....We have found it to work best with Google Chrome
  • Java...Oracle consistently updates so your teams will need to stay on top of the newest version

For the product we received, we do not multi-use capabilities to do larger ad-hoc presentations with multiple presenters like an Adobe Connect. Key Question: What am I looking for this type of technology to do and why? What outcomes will this improve knowing technology is not a catch-all solution?

ClearSlide is used as a way to connect our customers with live pitches of potential service offerings and products that allow our teams to use targeted strategies from their discovery to provide products and services which may benefit our clients. The ability to mark specific points of a presentation, or email a pitch to a client to view on their own time is very beneficial. We can also track open rates, how long a contact has viewed their pitch, as well as the number of time spent on specific slides within a presentation. This allows us to target our business and provide a clear, focused approach with our methodology.
  • Live Pitch can be done in both a java or java less format (newer update). Some orgs with potential limits on java usage will appreciate the easy setup and use with browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox.
  • Can be synced with Salesforce.com CRM to auto create tasks as follow up from sales rep presentations. This allows for the ability to track activity within accounts and for reporting needs for the sales rep account progression.
  • Support staff is very focused in training and getting new users up to speed with ClearSlide walkthrough to understand the product and the capabilities within their system. Provides on call support to address any technical system issues as a part of our business plan.
  • Would like to see more functionality around mobile devices and tablets for use. Currently, the ClearSlide remote is the main feature that our Sales Teams use when presenting, may need to look into how we can sync/share information via a table to do live presentations when on site.
  • Ability to generate feedback within a pitch so that client can address that information from you pitch which can come directly back into CRM as a follow up task for the sales rep.
  • Integration through other connected apps, such as Work.com, Data.com, etc native to Salesforce.com to blend in potential other business key wins, research and pull emails, etc.
Make sure to discuss integration points with any connected CRM that you use. We have a custom integration for some of the ClearSlide pieces to our organization and they were very helpful in helping to identify a tailored solution to fit our needs. Also, determine if they provide support for updating users vs. if your org has someone that will manage ClearSlide internally. We have a fairly large user base using ClearSlide, and have a dedicated person in setting up new users and information when new hires come on board. If you're concerned about how you can tailor a custom solution, prepare the large scale 'wins' you would need to make it successful ahead of a meeting.

ClearSlide is great because it allows our account executives to deliver clear presentations on the benefits of our cloud based software here at SkySlope. Additionally, I use it multiple times per day to host webinars and in-depth multi-viewer trainings on our own software. It's been invaluable to me and my team to get our clients launched with our own software. Would totally recommend it as it also allows us to host webinars and screenshares with over 100+ participants at a time. Something other screen sharing sites aren't always able to do.

  • A better audio link in versus the way they're set up now. Make it more like GoToMeeting/GoToTraining and improve the host/admin's UI to have chats/comments handled better off screen in another window out of view of the participants.
  • Lighter, faster interface that is more like GoToMeeting/GoToTraining. There is significant lag when you have more than 6-7 windows or tabs open running simultaneously. Also, it has to connect or run a Java App that seems to lag it from time to time. Add another program like Snaggit to the equation and there is significant lag to the viewers and the host.
How many viewers does it host on a webinar? What is the audio interface for attendees, and chat/question controls?.

Our Sales department uses ClearSlide to reach out to prospects and leads. The benefit of ClearSlide is the simplicity of sending collateral and being able to track what happens after it is sent. For management, it's the ability to track each salesperson's activity such as time spent on a live demonstration of our product.
  • Simplicity to send pre-made decks to prospects and leads
  • Tracking what the prospect or lead does; opening the email, click links in the email, etc.
  • The ability to shutdown a link if you feel the prospect or lead is forwarding your documents to others that shouldn't have access
  • It would be nice to set up an email template without not always having to attach a slide deck.
  • It would be nice to more easily create email and signature templates for users and give them read and edit access.
  • It would be nice if slide decks could keep some animation or play embedded videos.
I think that a product like ClearSlide needs to be used a lot in order to be really effective. The potential buyer needs to fully present their needs and plans for using ClearSlide in order for the rep at ClearSlide to convey all that's needed to use their application properly. Everyone in the company needs to be onboard with using ClearSlide or it might be wasted money.

It is used across the entire company by the sales department, Sales Ops department and customer service department. We used it for communication with our customers to share screens, teach tools on our platforms and engage customers during presentations. We also use ClearSlide to communicate within our organization for team meetings and knowledge sharing.
  • Presentation sharing is great. On top of sending the file you can see how long a client spent reading the documents and how far into the document they went.
  • Screenshare is one of the best features, especially allowing the client to take over your screen and show you what they have questions about.
  • Live pitches are great training tool, it allows you to and the client to look at and go over the same material at one time. It makes sure everyone is on the same page and its also interactive so no one is left out.
  • In order for the client to share their screen they have to install Java, this can be hard to get them to do especially if they are on a company computer with install restrictions.
Its great for meetings with multiple parties where we are all looking at the same tool or presentation. It is also great for compliance documents and other items where you need to monitor how far the client read the presentation. This way you can cover what they skipped over and rushed through on a follow up call.

ClearSlide is being used across the entire company. I began using it when I first started at CareerBuilder in 2011. I still use ClearSlide today. I believe that when you are telling a story to a client, trying to explain a process, give some imagination to a presentation- it is much earier to have pictures and animation than to just listen over the phone. This insures that your client will stay interactive and engaged in your presentation.
  • User-friendly- very easy to use and figure out/ you really dont need that much training on it. Although they do provide training when you are new to the product.
  • You can upload PowerPoint presentations to share your screen with your client so it is more interactive for them- instead of only listening to you on the phone.
  • My favorite part is the screen share capability of showing how to do something on my end (step by step) for my training calls- that is what I primarily use the product for.
  • Usually issues when one of the Internet Explorers isn't capable
  • Always gives you issues with the Java and how you have to download it- I end up having to call my HelpDesk everytime because it doesn't work when I try myself.
  • When you are on a call and your "end" works but the client's doesn't, then you have to try and figure out a way to present and you're scrambling to make it better.
I use Clearslide for all my training calls. I would say if you don't have a presentation or need to share how to do something step by step with the screen share, you don't really need to use the product.

ClearSlide Live Pitch allows me to set our brand apart from other competitors. It assures that prospects are getting the correct information and allows me to demonstrate the benefits of our school.
  • Email alerts are sent in real time to help me follow up with prospects when they are at their computer
  • Email alerts combined with a follow up call help address prospect concerns in real time while they are looking at the information
  • Email alerts and follow up calls combined with a live pitch are extremely powerful and show that our product/brand is innovative and user friendly
  • The functionality is quite simple and I would like to see more functionality especially in the live pitch. I would like a one click link with no access code for people to view the pitch

I very much enjoy using ClearSlide because it confirms for me if in fact my prospects are engaging with us in the right way and what they/when they see it. I highly recommend ClearSlide to any sales organization.

  • Great way to track when prospects view your email brochures
  • Live demos are an easy way to keep your prospect engaged
  • Clearslide is a great way to see success with what collateral works best with prospects
  • Recording demos, the lag time on recording is extremely slow.
  • Better way to track email templates that have been viewed; rather than just stating the last portion on the email address and having to go into the list view to see which contact from that company viewed the ClearSlide template.
  • Ability to hyperlink an actual webpage, so when a prospect clicks on the hyperlink to access the webpage I'll be able to see that.
I ask the prospect what interests them and form my collateral around that.

We use ClearSlide across Dun & Bradstreet / Hoover's, across the New Customer Acquisitions and Account Management channels mainly. It allows us to easily share our databases and jump right into the solution being discussed for a new customer or an account renewal. We are also able to send out email campaigns from nurturing leads to proposals and renewals to white pages for customer learning. It addresses many typical business problems, allowing for transparency when discussing the databases through a quick screen share process (no required downloading of software on the other end or trouble connecting), it also allows for quickly sharing data or documents through live demo or email template, tracking open rates and views or sharing, and even having a personal conference lien for group calls. It is much more than just a screen share program, the more you use it then more success you will have.
  • Best screen share tool I have ever used, very easy and efficient, for both sides, smooth flow and no downloading required for other end (a big bonus)!
  • Quickly upload proposals or other vital information to share with prospects or clients and use templates or email links to track open and read rates, visibility into areas or programs most viewed, and ability to see if content is shared.
  • Mobile applications allow for quickly accessing presentations and sent emails/proposals, you can see what they are looking at on the go and even start a presentation anywhere through your phone or tablet!
  • Outlook integration is a great tool, although there is room for added functionality and sometimes there are small quirks that make it a bit cumbersome to use.
  • Mobile ability to upload new presentations or create email links from presentations would be a great improvement.
  • Use of email template and lead forms from Clearslide are great tools, although room to improve functionality and presentation of finished email so it looks more like it was sent through your own email account.
It's great for anyone who needs to easily share information or often has conference calls and online presentations - wonderful tool.
