  • When sending materials via a ClearSlide link you can effectively see additional information post-open such as the # of slides they viewed.
  • The conference call line is convenient because it dials the # owner when someone joins the line.
  • The suite of apps are helpful for outside sales people who need to present on the go.
  • ClearSlide could improve their platform to be more friendly to animation. In some cases it doesn't animate properly or requires additional steps for uploading.

  • I like that the contact who was our Salesperson is also our Account Manager whenever we do have a question/concern.
  • Integration to SalesForce is critical.
  • Overall technology - that you can see the actual viewing your contact is doing - which pages of the proposal, for how long, etc.
  • I wish you could send email blasts that are trackable but without the "sent by clearslide" at the bottom - looks spammy to me and I always want my email comms to look personal so this is one functionality I do not use.

  • Delivery of video is significantly better than other options like GoToMeeting since it avoids upload latency.
  • Tracking of follow-ups is a powerful analytical tool letting salespeople know if the prospect is still engaged after the meeting.
  • Recording of sessions is helpful for training purposes.
  • Storage of many presentations provides a central repository for documents across a team.
  • Doesn't handle slide builds very well, so you have to create multiple slides rather than 1-slide builds.
  • Difficult to load new slides while already presenting.

  • Easy mass email tracking, presentation tracking, know what your prospects are looking at & how much time they look at each section of a presentation!
  • Easy live demo's with 1 link.
  • Salesforce.com integration needs work: When we were sending our mass mailings, the systems sometimes created new leads instead of logging an email send against an existing lead. This took a little work to fix. Also, when we do send out a Clearslide pitch, the lead just shows that a pitch has been sent, but it doesn't give any details about which version, etc.
  • Email reputation needs work: A much lower volume of email sent through Clearslide is getting delivered than we would like. We have used Marketo which definitely had higher click-through and open rates. We have talked to ClearSlide about helping us to use their product as a quasi- marketing automation tool for scheduling emails and running campaigns, and they have told us that some of this is on the roadmap.
