We use ClickUp to manage all the marketing and content department activities and tasks. Before using ClickUp, we drove all the tasks by Jira, but it was not so convenient for the marketing workflow. My team needed a user-friendly solution that everyone could work with comfortably.
  • User-friendly interface
  • Slack integration
  • Lots of options for task dashboard views
Cons
  • Add the function to add the subtask to subtask
ClickUp is a convenient tool that helps you manage and track your tasks. You can easily assign tasks, tag them, and keep track of everything in the dashboard. Every team has a dashboard, but all tasks are visible if needed. Thanks to the integration of Slack, I am always notified of everything and don't miss a thing.

We have a team that is in different time zones. Having ClickUp tasks that we can assign, complete, and leave notes for each other works well. We also use it for documenting workflows and processes in clear language. This makes training new staff easier as they follow the steps for a task. Overall it is a good product. Very easy to learn and use, so even our less tech-savvy staff can manage it.
  • Workflows and Processes. Great to document 'how to' for staff so that the same steps are followed by each staff member and it is done to a consistent standard.
  • Ease of use. It is not too complicated - people of all levels of tech can manage ClickUp without a lot of training.
  • Task clarity. It is really easy to see who is assigned to do what, and by what date. It is easy to list things according to the level of priority.
Cons
  • The CRM doesn't incorporate all communication from the client - it would be good if it could collect texts in addition to emails.
  • Some of the more advanced features (automations, etc) take a bit of mucking around to try to get right and are not so easy to learn.
  • Time tracking is very simplistic which can be positive or negative depending on your point of view.
It is good for documenting tasks and processes - great for an internal Wiki-type document. It is also good for task allocation amongst staff and allows cooperation between staff in different time zones. However, you must be clear with your staff on HOW it gets used (e.g. comments, etc. can become out of control if not used properly).

My team in marketing uses it to delegate tasks and show what each team member has going on. This platform allows us to keep everyone on task and plan out our schedule far in advance as we always have a lot going on. It's easy to get lost and forget tasks that are assigned to you if you don't have a central tracking system, and it also allows each individual to be accountable for their work.
  • Tagging projects
  • Categorizing folders for different topics/campaigns
  • Collaboration with teammates
Cons
  • Excessive emails
  • Navigation around the platform
  • Deadline setting and progress tracking on the individual level
This is great for teams looking for a platform that collaborates frequently and has a lot of different hands in different areas. We are able to have our teammates proof work, set deadlines for projects and add to existing tasks to make it clear what everyone is working on. Teams that don't have as many deliverables might not find the same benefits as teams that churn out material on a daily basis.

We started using ClickUp around a year ago. It helps a tonne organizing and managing our tasks. We are a big team of around 80 people setting up an IT infrastructure and replacing the legacy system for our client.

The project is split into multiple sub-teams and multiple delivery phases. In such a complicated setup, a lot of time was being wasted on in-person meetings and email follow-ups.

Now, that we are using ClickUp, we are able to organize project tasks into different layers of categories. One or multiple people can be assigned to a task, people can add their own tasks to and everyone is on board with the current status.

This also helps a lot in work prioritization.
  • Task Categorization: I love the way we can categorize tasks into multiple layers based on team, sub-team and task status.
  • Visual Representation: It's quite colorful and visually appealing. The team loves to work on ClickUp. It also lets you see reports on overall task statuses.
  • Top Level Task View (Named as "Spaces" in ClickUp language) helps you to see tasks from all projects/teams based on task status.
Cons
  • I do not like how sometimes ClickUp starts sending you emails when you have not been using it for a few weeks.
ClickUp is a great work organization and task tracking tool. It is very useful for individual tracking but even more useful when a task is owned by multiple stakeholders.

It helps you track the overall progress of team/project/deliveries, improves productivity and reduces in-person meetings and email follow-ups.

Our entire company uses ClickUp for all of our task management. We use it to communicate across tasks and attach useful documents or files. It helps us to maintain structure in our organization and not to lose track of any of our clients' needs. We've given access to our clients so that they can watch the progress on their projects.
  • Easy Assignments - Being able to tag or assign comments within tasks helps to keep them organized.
  • Email Attachments - Using a special email within a task, you can CC emails directly to the comments.
Cons
  • The Email attachment feature needs to be tweaked in just attaching the most recent message and not the entire email chain history.
ClickUp has helped me stay organized. Without it, there is no way I would be able to manage many tasks and projects without having any slip through the cracks. This software could even be useful to a student who has a lot of classes and projects. Overall, I think this is very versatile.
