ClickUp helps us organize items from a content marketing standpoint; this is our primary usage case for the app. Artifacts like 'posts', individual pieces of media or lists of actionable items are then assigned to team members and organized by client.
  • ClickUp's dependencies feature allow us to create a built-in hierarchy for related tasks so we don't have to micromanage.
  • Time estimates for each tasks give us a way to communicate with team members how long we expect a task to take without having to have that conversation after the fact.
  • Folders neatly organize client tasks in a way that is almost seamless, allowing us to compartmentalize our workflow at-a-glance.
Cons
  • Adding data to fields such as links or related pieces of media for individual tasks is cumbersome in that it requires a multitude of clicks to get what you need.
  • I find that the UX is generally crowded and not very visually diverse. I sometimes find it difficult re-orienting myself to find what I need (my own personal assigned tasks, for instance).
  • I sometimes 'lose' tasks where another team member is working with a task that is assigned to me, but I can not find very easily. While the customizability of ClickUp is astounding, I think some small quality of life features such as notifications or more 'grouping' could seriously help this.
The reason for my high recommendation is because ClickUp simply does it all from tie-ins and available automations, to fields and perfectly tailored 'task management' that allows for even the most minute details to be accounted for. Better yet, the price is right for all of these features. I find that If there's something I need it to do, ClickUp most certainly does it when it comes to team management, tasks or organization. The document hub furthers that purpose, since it allows us to more or less keep our organization almost entirely consolidated onto the one platform.

I'm big on Kanban process flow, and ClickUp works wonderfully with optional board views that other team members catch onto very quickly. Other programs offer this as well, but they're typically either over-simplified or too heavily bogged-down with that given platform's gimmick. ClickUp's core focus is functionality, and if there's something you need the app to do for you when it comes to you, the work and the team. It does it.

Lastly, there is a learning curve that needs to be overcome. But once you get there, the level of control that ClickUp gives you over your workflow definitely exceeds expectations. Finally, everything seems organized.

ClickUp has helped our organization tremendously by helping us to manage our tasks and projects. While our team is small, around 20 individuals, we manage a lot of projects within the organization to help meet our customers' needs in marketing, communications, and fundraising.
ClickUp helps us manage multiple sub-teams and multiple projects and due dates. Previously, we were wasting time in meetings and emails, and ClickUp has helped us streamline this process.
With ClickUp, we can now work more efficiently as an organization, allowing us to maximize the time spent on projects instead of meetings and emails. Multiple people can be assigned tasks and due dates, allowing us all to stay up-to-date with the current status of any given project.
  • GUI-- The user interface is very thoughtful and pleasing to the eye.
  • Reporting-- Allows me to generate reports on the status of all projects for the management team, to show the progress on any given project.
  • There are multiple ways that you can see your task: timeline, dashboard, and list. Whatever suits your fancy.
Cons
  • It is not completely free. Basic use is limited in what you can do. There is a per-user pricing model, which makes it more difficult to justify with larger teams.
  • ClickUp will often send unnecessary emails. I do not like too many email notifications and hope that can be consolidated in the future.
ClickUp is great for task collaboration within a team. You can keep track of your to-do list items and also work on a particular task with more than one task owner. It helps the project manager to track the overall progress of the project and manage members of the team.

Great for Remote Teams.

We operate in 11 service areas and need consistency across our team. ClickUp made it easy to set expectations with our staff and ensure that all steps in a project are completed timely. Overall, ClickUp has improved our team's efficiency and allowed management to reward well-performing employees.
  • Helps prioritize tasks to make sure time is used efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • It is easy to add things to your "to-do" list in real time while tasks are assigned to you.
  • It is easy for managers to determine progress on a task and if there are any roadblocks.
Cons
  • Document storage that is not linked to a list.
ClickUp is well suited for remote teams or collaboration across departments or when it is essential to document that all steps for a task were completed in a specific order.

1. ClickUp is been a helpful tool to assign task and manage production 2. We have been using from past 3 years and it helped us in increasing the efficiency and categories assignments. 3. It helps us to solve problems like time taken for individual assignments, Who is working on which files, When is the task completion date. 4. It helps to automate task features like auto status change as required and auto due date addition when priority changes bases in the task complexity. 5. It helps us to manage and categories on the basis on month, weeks and days which is called spaces.
  • It helps us to make board and list basis on each team and tasks
  • It helps us to automate most of the options like due date, complexities, priorities and time tracking
  • It helps us to manage time and give us enough free time like auto pilot mode
Cons
  • One automation feature is required where the due date needs to be reset if we put the status on "yet to start. "
  • Close status needs to more than one, currently we cant add more than one close status
1. Its helpful in managing task if we have more than 2 teams working on the same project.
2. Its helpful to manage spaces basis on task assignments monthly, weekly and day to day basis.
3. Best suited for tasks that have multiple details and needs to be addressed just by looking the task details.

It's not so much an asset to our team as it is part of our team.

We are a small team, but we manage multiple - on average, 75 - external projects at a time for different clients. At any given time, projects are all in various stages and have individual scopes involving contractors, subs, and more. ClickUp has been a total game-changer for us because it allows us to communicate project status and needs and collaborate on tasks and next steps without spending precious time updating each other in meetings. I'm certain we are a use case outlier, but the platform is malleable, and creating the structure we needed was straightforward once we understood the basics. Task templates and automation are huge timesavers too.
  • Project Organization.
  • Repeat tasks/flows.
  • Team collaboration/baton passing.
Cons
  • Custom field organization.
  • Task grouping by A THEN B.
  • Relationships are still messy (pun unintended).
For the past three years, ClickUp has been the cornerstone of our task and project management. It has served us well in many ways, including creating automation that creates tasks based on external project phases and contingencies, communicating updates with our team, and organizing large internal projects. When we first adopted it, the CRM capabilities weren't what we needed, so we opted for a different platform for that. Still, I can't speak to the function now, knowing that the ClickUp team is continually improving their product.
