Electronic submission of expenses is so amazing and automation especially with automatic payments is the great.
It is super straight forward process when adding your expenses from any work trip and once you hit submit getting your money refunded is typically smooth.
As an administrator, I appreciate the ability to proxy in to the employee's page to help them resolve issues.

Well suited when it is with Electronic submission of expenses and automation especially with automatic payments is the great.
Simple to follow the process when adding your expenses from any work trip and once you hit submit getting your money refunded is typically smooth.

Other scenarios where it not support so well ,is that the user needs to input all the details manually when submitting the expense

We use SAP Concur primarily for expense management and travel management purposes. Probably the main problem I find is the training or instructions needed to enable users to use the tool without much support from the expenses department.

I used SAP Concur while submitting the Travel as well as expense invoices for my business trips.
There were several problems like everytime we create a new expense, the line items that we add didn't refresh automatically and add upto the total amount.
It would also be great it there were move vendors in the options while entering them.

On a Daily Basis, we upload all expenses and upload them in the concur interface. Later my manager reviewed and approved those invoices and finally, they got approved by HR and we got paid for all the expenses by the end of the month.

Employees should be able to view all uploaded attachments in a list format and then should be able to relate each attachment with each expense line while submitting it.

Our company has been with SAP Concur since 2012 using both the Travel and Expense platforms. Concur seems to be ahead of the curve in regard to T&E management and is working hard to be/stay Best in Class. Their support is multi-dimensional, with Webinars, Community share platforms and continual opportunities for training. Our users for the most part can easily use both the mobile app and the website to both book travel and manage/reconcile expenses, as the platform is relatively user friendly. While we are on SSO, they've also migrated to 2FA to keep information secure. Technical outages happen, but are not common, and seem to be resolved within a matter of hours when they do happen, as you can see on their outage site.

We also have opted in for their Consultative Intelligence module, to assist us in building custom reports to really get the most out of the robust T&E data. We are able to easily identify weak points as well as find opportunities to improve.

This is great for both large and small companies, as it provides a resource for anyone to use as a form of support.

I frequently use SAP Concur to expense any invoices for travel to events. While the tool does it's job, there are a couple of points to keep in mind:<br>- Speed - the app is quite slow to open. Ideally when submitting an invoice and create an expense report, the app can take a while to open, this can be frustrating when you are submitting the expenses directly after purchase (hotel check-in, restaurant, taxi ride, ...)|<br>- Upload of receipts - on the app, all fields need to be filled in before submitting uploading the invoice - in can help to upload the reciept first so that the information is shown already for reference in filling in the fields. <br>- Missing Airlines / Hotels - Norwegian airlines not on the list<br><br><br><br>

An easy way to capture travel expenses on the move, without the need to keep copies of Receipts and capture at a later date. Ensuring that I can submit my expenses quickly which in turn results in getting expense payments returned quickly. I like the ability to upload and scan receipt contents.

I travel internationally so being able to capture my travel receipts while on the road is a really useful and beneficial feature. I also do not need to keep a record of the receipts stuffed in my wallet, I can capture the expense and then throw them away without worrying about not recovering my expenses. One area of improvement is recognising the Supplier if not very clear on the receipt.

With the low usage I see in my company, the rather bad usability discourages me from recommending it.
Maybe when integrated with more scenarios (like travel planning) there would be more value added.

We are using SAP Concur for travel requests and expenses to reduce the communication channel between employees, the travel management team, and travel agencies. Also, we aimed to have a better system to check on the travel budget at the time of request and expense creation before the budget owner approves any travel. Unfortunately, due to concur integration with SAP ECC limitations, this did not happen on a timely basis. We had to customize it. Also, we had to de-scope the invoicing part due to concur limitations in terms of the 3-way match for invoicing.

SAP Concur was brought in to reduce the communication time between employees and travel vendors for different travel reservations, and it did a splendid job there. The scope was to implement Travel requests and expenses. We faced many challenges, major of which we would like to highlight as the - Missing three-way/two-way line item match for invoices - no reconciliation between travel request and invoice lines - Real-time integration with FM budget management which was a major challenge to achieving budget check.
  • Ticket booking- reduction in time and real time value add services to employees.
  • Having to choose the flight itenary.
  • Having a choice of hotel booking.

I am the program administrator for Concur Expense and Travel for our company. I train and support all of our users her at our law firm. From our old system of paper reports with receipts taped to the back of them, to a state-of-the-art expense reporting system that is intuitive an easy to use, the impact has been monumental. From the very start through integration and beyond SAP Concur is with us constantly through the entire process and continued use. Concur also has great support for its admins that includes continuing education with webinars, groups online and direct support help. The constant support and training from Concur keeps our employees on the forefront of what is new and expected in the T&amp;E world and in expense reporting.
  • Supports admins in constant support, training and state of the art software programming.
  • Has completely reshaped our entire Travel & Expense process, compliance and reporting.
  • I can't say enough about their continued support and training that keeps us in the know of all the latest in the business and outside of it too.
  • I don't like the arbitrary changes of look, right after a major new UI change, but we got through it.
  • It is hard for me to complain, because they do things so well, but support tickets have been taking much longer than they used to to be completed.
I love Concur Expense and would recommend it to any business looking to bring their T&E program into the future! Their continued support and training after the fact is to me what sets them apart.

In my opinion, UI/UX is unpleasant for end users. I think it translates into data entry of the worst kind. In my opinion, the level of detail makes no sense for standard uses in our professions as researchers. In my experience, reports get sent back only to cause back and forth endlessly and need further detail from customer service at corporations that only refer you back to websites with incomplete information. I'm finding Apple, Amazon, and other invoices to be error-ridden. Parsing out tiny details eats time needed for our primary job responsibilities. I think this solution simply isn't ready for use. And, in my opinion, filing receipts really has no excuse for being so fraught or time consuming. It really just needs to be a housekeeping task. In my experience, it's turned into something that destroys time off and needs lots of tech support.

SAP Concur is used for travel management. Everything from generating an itinerary to booking transportation and lodging, all from within the SAP Concur application. Prior to SAP Concur, we had been using the trip module integrated within SAP. The trip module was an older piece of software that is beginning to lose support and was cumbersome to update the perdiems

  • It is difficult to get support on some features in a timely manner. The ICS connection status is not represented on the open.concur status page
  • Many issues are not resolvable on our end and we must wait for SAP Concur
  • Slowness, especially at our month end
Our biggest issue with SAP Concur was the implementation, as many business rules and processes needed to be changed so that SAP Concur was compatible. As mentioned before, in the pain points, getting support from concur for some specific issues has sometimes been problematic. Our business expects us to be able to quickly resolve issues, but with cloud service providers many times this is no longer in our hands.

We use Concur for travel and expenses. The tools is currently helping us to minimize the paper work and manual approvals. This tools helps us to manage and maintain compliance to our travel and expenses policy automatically. Approval flow helps us to get visibility and Approval to the expenses and travel aligns to our policy. Reporting is key, now we got visibility on expenses.

  • More on UI, like drag drop, move and automatically account assignments and clear explanations on exceptions and provide clear direction

Pro's
Better UI than our manual process and workflows. Policy adherence. Maintain the compliance level by the system automatically.
Con's
Some improvements on the UI on expenses by having GL mapping based on the invoice content. And pop windows on potential exceptions and mainly how to resolve direction with out having the user to contact system administrator. Q&A or real-time chat window on any questions. I prefer this function for all SAP products we manage this through Team's chat today. User friendly windows for configuration of audit rule and testing features so don't have to switch to sandbox.
