ConnectWise is currently used for in house IT support of staff around the world.
It allows a fast and convenient way to keep everybody working.
  • Remote control of users' Macs and PCs to allow quick resolves of any issues they are having
  • Some users appear to have difficulty downloading the ConnectWise client, especially on Apple Macs where permission needs to be given to open an app from an "unidentified developer"
Very well suited to supporting members of staff when they are traveling (some are away from their home office for extended periods of time).

We use it through the entire organization from marketing to customer service to production and anything else. We are a small organization and it let's us 'be' with each other quickly and effectively, as well as accessing info from our always on remote computers. It is super easy to use so there was zero learning curve.
  • Instant connections between users
  • fast connection to a customer computer to solve issues
  • In the field connections from 'devices' like cell phones. I have been Hiking with my dog and been able to see issues at the office in a flash. Fantastic.
  • It is not as 'intuitive' as I would like it to be - mainly for setting up a customer with it - I always have to 'remember' how to use it
  • The Video view through the remote person's cell phone should be released to everyone - for all packages. I tried it, fell in love, and then found out that it was just a trial, (bummer) and that it wasn't actually part of the type of package we purchased. It is a very strong tool. I can see a million uses for it.
We use it for screen sharing, remote access to unattended computers, and we would love to have the video, to help with mechanical issues from machine operation to troubleshooting mechanical issues and seeing content 'live'. Sometimes we even screen share when we are in the same room with each other...because it is easier than looking over each other's shoulders and it allows all of us on screen at the same time. Love it.

I currently administrator 3 networks with ConnectWise software. In addition to these three networks, I use the software to help friends, family and colleagues with remote sessions for a variety of tasks. Some of the most common uses are; remote control of user desktops to solve technical and software issues, screen sharing and software installation and setup.
  • Remote Screen Sharing
  • Remote Desktop Control
  • Cataloging of all desktop resources in one simple location.
  • Autonomous software updates
A great scenario for ConnectWise is when an administrator has several networks with a large number of desktops that need to be administered. The dashboard has the ability to have each location separate and even departments broken down for quick access and organization. I use ConnectWise for my side job, and keeping this information organized saves me precious time.

I use ConnectWise Control in my role as IT manager to support my fleet of desktops, laptops, and mobile phones and tablets. It allows me more flexibility in terms of how many machines I can support and where I can support them from. I also have a role in our company's electronic security department (alarms, CCTV, and access control), and we use ConnectWise Control to help our techs in the field as they program or troubleshoot equipment. The software is also periodically used to remotely control the computers of our clients when they're having an issue with their alarm, CCTV, or access control software.
  • It's easy to use. I have users in our electronic security department that struggle with TeamViewer, LogMeIn, Dameware, and other remote access solutions, but can use ConnectWise Control without issue.
  • It does the job of multiple softwares (ad-hoc support, managed remote access, and web meetings) for the price of one. This reduces our total spend and reduces the number of systems we have to keep up with.
  • It's fast. Compared to LogMeIn and TeamViewer, it's much faster overall and much more usable on low quality connections.
  • I do wish there were a way to have unattended agents for mobile devices (phones and tablets). Some of my guys struggle setting up a session on their mobile device when they need help.
  • I wish there was better support for Linux on the host side. I like to use Linux whenever possible, but it's frustrating that there's not a client for remoting into other computers in Linux.
  • I wish commands didn't expire for offline agents. It's nice to push a command to a machine if it's off and not worry about the command timing out - I can know that it's done when the machine comes on.
I think that ConnectWise Control is particularly well-suited for troubleshooting remote machines, whether using the ad-hoc functionality or with permanent agents. However, I don't think that it's as good in terms of the web meeting functionality - although I use it, it still leaves a lot to be desired, like a call-in functionality.

I have been using ConnectWise Control to support my end users for the past year and I love it. I had been using LogMeIn for several years prior and it became way too expensive. I did my research and moved to ConnectWise and I've never looked back. I couldn't live without the unattended access to manage my servers and also the ability to share screens both ways. It's incredibly simple to use and set up.

I'm a one man operation and I use this product multiple times a day to support my users. It's fantastic.
  • Unattended access - simple and works.
  • Ease of use - I just give my end users a code and I'm on.
  • At the moment, I don't have any Cons to report
It's well suited for accessing users' computers when you are in a different location. Works well for demonstrations and tutorials.

Across the whole company, it allows all my technicians to be able to remotely help all my customers, and remotely log in for a quick support session.
  • It has great response times and is a great tool when trying to monitor up time and access to devices.
  • It has a cmd applet to be able to issue command remotely, also has a live connection diagram to know if the device is online.
  • It has the ability to keep a window live while rebooting which comes in very handy. When you open a connection then either you or the user reboots, your screen will stay open and just show disconnected, then automatically refresh your screen once the computer is online.
  • I don't really have any issues with Control.
  • I wish it would integrate with Autotask AEM/PSA.
It can dramatically make access to users in need very easy and helpful.

With the increase in our workforce and the ever-evolving demands of cybersecurity, we decided to go with ConnectWise as a solution for our IT department. This tool is used by our IT infrastructure teams to help diagnose problems in the company issued work machines. We decided to use ConnectWise because of its compatibility with all commonly used OS including Linux machines.
  • The product comes with a self-service toolbox allowing system admins to transfer files back and forth easily between remote machines.
  • In ConnectWise the remote desktop connection works right from the browser there-by circumventing the need of installing additional software.
  • The audio quality over a remote call needs improvement.
  • It would have been helpful if we got a longer trial period to evaluate the product more thoroughly.
ConnectWise is great for a large team of employees dispersed in different locations. The screen sharing and remote calls allow for the IT staff to help triage and fix potential issues on work machines.

Used in providing remote IT support services. Helps reduce costs because most issues can be resolved quickly remotely. This allows our IT department to focus on other issues. It helps our company to provide quick remote access to help our clients.
  • Speed of accessing - remote access speed is great. It's just like sitting at the computer itself.
  • Mobile - Access is very good, when on the road we can provide support from a device which is a big help.
  • Fast access to client computers to provide exceptional romote support.
  • Cost - I would like to see some promotions or discounts for long term users.
  • Limited concurrent connection access - We are currently only allowed 3 con-current connections. Wish this was higher with the same pricing package.
  • It's challenging for us to update client computers when a new version of connectwise comes out.
Providing remote IT support to any computer. Remote access to manage servers for our corporate clients. Hold meetings online while sharing a onescreen whiteboard for users to interact with.

We have users spread out and it helps us to manage those users remotely.
  • Copying files to and from the managed computer is very convenient. I use this feature quite often.
  • The chat feature is my primary means of communicating with the user. This allows me to work on more than one client at a time since I don’t need to call them.
  • Being able to share my screen during and instructional time decreases the time I work with the users.
  • I like that I can chat with the user through the console without a remote session. This is much more polite and allows them to minimize or close sensitive information before the remote session begins.
  • What gets me every time is when I mouse over the Essentials tab during a session. There are so many options there and it is placed in an where my mouse hits often. Because there are so many options, the Essentials tab fills the window. I have to move my mouse around to get it to close.
  • This is honestly one of those solutions that works well every time, and I can’t think of anything to improve.
If you don’t have to manage remote users, then it isn’t necessary. If you do, then this is the only solution you should use.

ConnectWise is currently being used to managed remote computers powering virtual tours at our customers' sale centers.
  • Fast and easy deployment onto new computers
  • Great User management and authorization, which makes it easy to set up complex access groups and give clients access to the right instances and machines.
  • Great mobile and web support. We use both extensively, in particular on mobile where the iOs app has all the features we need.
  • Easy to create new instances and onboard new clients
  • We have encountered some dropouts on a few occasions, where the internet connection drops on the client computer, then recovers, but the ConnectWise client seems to stay offline. A manual restart of the computers was necessary to have the Connectwise client back online.
  • Have the ability to kick out a user session. Sometimes users login on their iPad (ipad is always on) and forget to end their session taking a license seat and preventing someone else from starting another session. If we could have an admin 'kick out' a user or terminate their session that would be very useful.
  • Still can't figure out how to wake up computers, in particular Macs, and be able to access them when they're sleeping. the client doesn't seem to be reachable at all. Would be great to wake up on LAN or something.
We definitely recommend ConnectWise Control to all friends and clients because of the fast setup, ease of use and user management and permission workflow. It is also highly competitive on pricing which makes it a great value add to any IT business in need of a reliable remote computer and mobile access.

ConnectWise Control has made it possible for me to work on other things and still be able to provide support to the Users around our plant. It has drastically cut down on the time users need to wait for support. It is a great product for any I.T. person and makes support tickets much easier to process. Currently we are also using ConnectWise to take care of other locations and provide support to salesman that are on the road and it makes it really easy to solve a multitude of problems without the hassle of trying to talk someone through how to correct a problem on the phone.
  • Allows for support on the go.
  • Makes it easy to support an end user or customer.
  • Cuts down on the time it takes to process a claim ticket by allowing instant control over the computer in question.
  • The interface could use a little work so that you don't have to search for quick commands to send the computer you are connected to.
ConnectWise is suited for most applications related to support. I cannot think of an area where it is not appropriate for support. It works well on a variety of tasks and is easy to use for the most part. It does work well in every instance that I use it.

It is being used to allow for remote support of both monthly billed clients and one-off client service requests. Virtually every PC we work on receives an installation of ScreenConnect so should the client discover an issue that was either not resolved, or something new develops we are quickly able to connect to the system and review the situation first hand.
  • Fast and stable connections
  • Ability to transfer files during the remote session to give us access to the necessary tools
  • Great dashboard that allows us to not only see which systems are online, but at a glance check how they are performing
  • I am sure there are a lot of capabilities we are not utilizing due to lack of knowledge of these tools
  • Having a more hands-on tutorial/manual would be a tremendous asset
For quickly and easily enabling remote support to a client. I can provide them a simple link on my website, once they load the webpage I then provide them with a "key" for the session and within moments I am viewing their screen and working to resolve their issue. Allowing clients the ability to connect between their computers doesn't appear to be a function that is readily available but could possibly be an avenue to generate other revenue.

ConnectWise is being solely used for the remote support of our customers and servers. It allows us an easier client experience compared to other programs. It solves the problem of having a quick response to client issues. It also allows us access to our remote customer servers in real time. We use the product across our team of support engineers.
  • Customers just click on the link on our website to activate the download process.
  • The detailed instructions vary depending on what browser the client is running. This is indeed a big strength compared to the competition.
  • The grouped customer/server view is in real time without any human intervention. It allows us to immediately respond to server issues without having to start up a connect client.
  • On slow links ConnectWise can be slower than the competition.
  • ConnectWise is not always compatible with some PCs and their software configuration.
It is well suited to support organisations wanting access to client PCs to diagnose issues. It is particularly end-user friendly with its download instructions. It is also well suited to the access to customer servers through the access panel. It is not well suited on high-latency links even with the resolution turned down to the minimum.

  • Update to console UI

I use ConnectWise Control to connect to computers outside my organization for two purposes. 1. For briefly helping the person on the other end on an issue, and at the same time allowing them to see what I am doing for teaching purposes. 2. To take complete control over the PC without the need for them to be there.

It's really easy to use once set up. I am using it for business purposes and personal. I can connect to my parents' computers and fix them when they are not able to figure out the problem.

I use ConnectWise instead of setting up my router to allow me to remote in, using port configuration that is a security risk.
  • Setup is simple and easy. Once trust is established between two machines, it's always available for the next time you want to connect.
  • I cannot think of any issues that I have had. Other than a little laggy, I have never had any issues.
It covers business and personal needs. I am able to establish a trust between all computers that I regularly connect to, like from home to office servers. I often connect to my parents' PCs and help them out. I show them basic things that confuse them with ease. And for the computers that I connect to infrequently, I need their permission to connect to it, and ConnectWise makes this easy.

I use ConnectWise Control to remotely manage and connect to a small office of about 10 computers and a server. I am the only one who uses it/manages it. It allows me to have access anytime without having to physically access the computers, as well as be able to see important information about the computers.
  • Connection over the internet is reliable. I've never experienced any issues using it.
  • Able to see computer status at-a-glance. It's incredibly useful being able to take a glance at a live computer to just check-in on things.
  • In addition to viewing the computer, seeing helpful stats such as uptime is very useful.
  • My only complaint is the navigation sidebar. I think that the naming convention seems a bit weird, for example, having to click "access" to sign in and view remote computers. I think that it would make more sense to have a "login" button and a "view computers" button, or something of the sort.
It's great for managing a small business with a small fleet of computers. I can see that using it to manage a larger fleet might become unwieldy, but overall I believe it would be well-suited for either task.

We use Connect daily to troubleshoot issues and problems for end users on a daily basis. We would not get nearly the amount of work done without it. Needed software for our IT and IS groups.
  • Easy remote access at any time
  • Toolbox that offers more flexibility
  • Organized list options
  • Better support for multi monitor set ups. It would be nice to choose which monitors I'm working with when there are more than two.
  • Ctrl alt dlt shortcut not hidden in a menu
Perfect for remote support in building and out. Makes that support easy. It is less beneficial when it comes to working from a remote machine. Performance doesn't keep up compared to RDP.

It is currently used to provide immediate support to organizations to which we provide managed IT services. It is used by our support team and it allows us to directly monitor the computers we manage and provide immediate support to end users.
  • When a user requests support, we can immediately contact them and see, in real time, what they are trying to accomplish.
  • ConnectWise Control allows us to interact with the computer as if we were sitting in front of it. Any requests for elevated permissions can be accepted by a support tech. Credentials can be stored and entered automatically.
  • ConnectWise Control can be installed on machines for remote access to servers for after-hours maintenance, enabling our customers to continue work the next day without any downtime.
  • Work with WatchGuard to allow control over their devices.
  • Better storage of credentials for iPad and iPhone.
It is ideal for working with Windows software, but it is impossible if you need the ability to reconfigure a network that causes the connection to be lost.

I'm currently using ConnectWise Control to maintain software on a variety of models of PCs which are not on a domain. ConnectWise Control is vastly superior to the product we were previously using (and MUCH more reasonably priced). I would recommend it to someone looking for an easy and powerful remote desktop tool which won't break the bank.
  • Easy to deploy
  • Great performance over slower internet connections
  • Excellent features such as file uploads/downloads and the ability to run scripts.
  • The ability to connect to a mobile device would be a huge feature.
Great for remotely connected PCs/laptop and not good in a terminal service environment.

We use ConnectWise to easily remote into any of our Mac computers. It has an integration with our Mac Remote Management tool, Addigy. It's super easy to click to connect from the Addigy console and remote into users' computers to complete whatever task is needed. This tool is mainly used by our IT department as they are the main users of the tool, everyone else is just the recipient of the help ConnectWise provides.
  • Smooth integration
  • Multi-screen support
  • Smoother movement
  • Quicker connect times
If you remote into computers a lot and like to see both screens for easier support ConnectWise does super great. If you use any RMM tools CoonectWise does have a smooth integration for ease of use. We have been quite happy with how easy it has been to use.

We currently use ConnectWise Control to support end users inside and outside of the company walls. It helps us provide quick and easy support to a wide range of users of different experience levels.
  • It is easy to set up. It sets up quickly.
  • The toolset within the product is great. I can transfer files quickly. I can reduce the quality of the remote screen to speed up the session on a slow link.
  • I like the ability to control the user security. I can restrict what sessions each login can see.
  • I have not found any missing features yet.
