We are using ScreenConnect in our IT department to support users remotely. It allows us to install updates and fix issues and remains after a reboot.

ScreenConnect is being used across the whole company. We use it for our break fix support for our customers. This is a good produce that can use some fine tuning but is a much more affordable option than a competitor that I was using before that out priced us from them.
  • Easy to use.
  • Quick install and small install package.
  • Ability to throw screens to the size in a Windows platform.
  • Ability to split two screens verses seeing only one or all.
  • Great for break fix support.
  • Hard to use if you are using a small device like a tablet or phone.

It has been used primarily by myself (my boss uses a different software) though we are planning to move totally to ScreenConnect once licenses change. This is used so I can troubleshoot from home, when people cannot connect to our network, or when we need to transfer a file in a secure fashion. We are supporting 70 to 80 remote users.
  • ScreenConnect has an easy layout and UI to understand. It's easy to change the view of the windows when using dual monitors and the chat window is easy to use.
  • ScreenConnect is straightforward for adding users to the session, allowing emails or URLs to add the user.
  • ScreenConnect helps with remote assistance, staying persistent across reboots.
  • Transfering files have always been a bit of a challenge. A simple cut/paste would be easier and there have been times that I've had to use alternative ways to transfer a file. I would much rather have no user agents (remote persistent access not related to a session) than have shoddy file transfer.
  • There have been situations where the session will show a black screen, which makes it nearly impossible to troubleshoot remotely.
  • Creating multiple sessions can be difficult.
Remote troubleshooting is the ideal scenario for ScreenConnect. You have direct access once it connects and the session will reconnect after a reboot (most of the time). The chat window allows you to talk with the user directly and quickly. As far as presentations and meetings, I think other software might be better suited, particularly if you want to only show certain windows or presentations instead of a full screen.

We use Screenconnect to manage all of our client's PCs. We also use it for "on demand" remote support. It has allowed us to provide immediate support no matter where we are at.
  • Access to clients from anywhere.
  • Reliable remote connections.
  • Multiple methods of connection with the client.
  • Setting up customized endpoints and personalized connection messages are too difficult. I want my tech's names to display instead of "cloud administrator".
  • Better reporting on endpoint PC's hardware and status would be nice.
  • Custom notifications would be helpful "email when and endpoint goes offline".
Screenconnect is extremely versatile (almost to a fault). It can be difficult to manage all of your endpoints until you get your access website filters set up correctly. Grouping clients and machines the way you want takes some figuring out, but once it is set up correctly; it couldn't be easier to use. It is extremely stable and gives us the ability to quickly connect with clients from anywhere.

We use ScreenConnect to support users of our software and to provide demos.
  • Works with ConnectWise.
  • Works well for both meetings and support -- without additional licenses.
  • Allows the users to control when upgrades will take place.
  • It does not lock the session or log out when connection is lost. You can end up with a computer with admin rights being freely available.
  • The program does a poor job of organizing computers that can be connected to. It should at least allow the machines to be sorted by organization.
  • It lacks a few bells and whistles that can be found in its competitors, but nothing that would be a deal breaker.
If you are using ConnectWise, then it is by far the best choice. Price is about half of the big name competitors. The only drawback would be if you have a large number of existing remote machines with another product. It takes time to convert them.

At the moment it's only being used by me, but it's on the long term plan to implement it for all employees. It's being used mainly for first tech support but sometimes for other more complex issues.
  • Fast response
  • Easy to use
  • User friendly
  • Sometimes I get latency problems - but on a very few occasions
It is well suited for fast and easy help for a customer but sometimes the customers want support on premise so ScreenConnect isn´t suitable under that circumstance.

We use ScreenConnect for secure, unattended remote support. We chose ScreenConnect over TeamViewer and other competing systems specifically because of functionality, but a secondary benefit is reduced operating cost, branding, and more relevant functionality.

We use ScreenConnect to provide remote support across all platforms. It's an invaluable tool to keep techs more productive and greatly reduces the need for onsite visits to fix/help with even more than just minor incidents.
  • ScreenConnect is always available.
  • This program doesn't intrude on the PC resources as others have done.
  • The dashboard could really use an easier method for grouping PCs by physical locations
It's well suited for any PC, [has a] small footprint, and always available.

I use ScreenConnect to support the IT needs of my entire organization. I support onsite employees as well as employees in other states and the United Kingdom. I am able to keep employees' downtime to a minimum by rapidly connecting to their machine and resolving issues quickly. ScreenConnect allows me to be in multiple geographic places at once without leaving my office.
  • The employees I support have an easy time getting connected to sessions no matter their tech savvy. I have used other products that were not as user-friendly for the end user.
  • ScreenConnect works great out of the box but allows the administrator to do a great deal of customization if necessary.
  • Allows my technical team to work together on an issue even though the team is not all located in the same place. Open sessions can be worked together or passed among the team with ease.
  • I don't have any cons at this time.
Screenconnect is great when you can't be at all the locations you support at once. It is also great when you have a traveling workforce that depends on up time to be successful. I have agents deployed to all the machines I support and I can be connected to those machines in seconds.

We use ScreenConnect across the whole organization for various applications. The primary use is for remote troubleshooting of our computers across two geographic regions. Most computers are located in the offices but we also have laptops out in the field so this reduces walking our users over the phone for troubleshooting or having them bring their laptops in. The secondary use is for remote access to our desktops for our employees to work at a different location (home or alternate office).
  • It quickly connects to remote desktops, including remote Wake-on-lan that always works.
  • Ease of use and UI.
  • Customizations/branding possible.
  • Setup is easy and can be as detailed as you want.
  • Multi-windowed desktop is handled well. It is also easy to view and control multiple remote computers at the same time.
  • Easy to deploy and also to update the hosts' software later on with new releases.
  • Our default setting for remote access is to blank the remote screen and block local access. Sometimes this causes issues when we connect to a host where both parties see the black screen. Currently, users need to unblank and reblank the remote screen to see the desktop properly remotely.
  • The drag and drop file exchange doesn't always seem to work but you can always send a file/folder using the built-in toolbar.
  • Would like to see the possibility to fullscreen a dual monitor remote setup to a dual monitor local setup easier. Current process is to separate the two windows and make them each fullscreen independently.
ScreenConnect is well suited for remote technical support, technical maintenance and remote access. It appears to be more suited for support than for remote access software due to the blanking remote screen issue (it obviously doesn't start a new session like Windows Remote Desktop does) and it is not easy to differentiate the type of connection access (but is mostly possible).

Screenconnect is used by developers to connect to customers behind firewalls where the customer is responsible for the security of the system.
  • What I like most is that the client can be on any operating system; in my case Centos 5 to 7.
  • Recording of a support session might become more obvious.
To be able to prepare an install packet for any OS, making the client connect when the machine goes online is great. I have not found any scenario where ScreenConnect has not served its purpose.

  • Simple for any company to use to screen share.

ScreenConnect is used to connect to all client PCs with my Access Agent installed. It is also on my support web page to connect sessions.
  • Quickly deploy agents
  • Fast connection
  • Cross platform
  • iOS app is lacking some features
  • macOS unattended installs sometimes do not work
Extremely useful when you need to quickly connect to a client's computer that does not have the agent installed.

I use screenconnect to support my clients online. When I can't be at their location, screenconnect allows me to do almost everything remotely. I can observe the error that is occurring and then try to resolve it as if I were standing over the clients shoulder. I also use it to conduct maintenance on the hardware when the client is closed which is usually off hours.
  • Quick connection.
  • Allows customizations to software to keep with my branding.
  • Allows more than one connection at a time.
  • Will reconnect after reboot.
  • Allows file transfers from a remote machine, or to a remote machine.
  • The file transfer interface is a little confusing. I would like to see a browse button and allow you to place the file where you want it, while doing the transfer, instead of having it go to a predesignated location.
  • It would be nice to be able to give a name to the user as you chat, it says administrator. I think my users would rather see my name to make them more comfortable.
I can support multiple machines for my clients and run tasks on them remotely. This is advantageous in saving driving time and gas which passes the savings to the client. Obviously if the client is closed and you need to physically put in a disk, or the computer will not reboot without physically holding the power switch, this cannot be done remotely. But this is a problem with all remote software.

I use it to do remote support for my various clients. They have small and large issues that need remote IT help. It makes it a lot easier to manage a computer without having to go in the field to troubleshoot most problems. I can either have them connect up remotely with an invitation I send or I can set up anytime access for myself to log in anytime until the problem is resolved...this is great for problems I have to wait for or babysit.
  • Allows me to get users connected quickly via email
  • Allows me to set up a permanent connection for anytime access
  • Is quick and generally reliable
  • Support is responsive when I've needed them
  • Connecting Mac computers is challenging
  • A remote keyboard for when I need to press certain key combinations or use function keys I don't have on my keyboard
Users who understand what a remote desktop session is and what it takes to get connected will use this without issue. Users who are "tech-tarded" will have trouble using this and will need some assistance getting it up and running, even with an invitation.
The mobile app is not very useful and is very challenging to use...I have not connected to a client who is ON a mobile device.

Remote access to client systems. User doesn't have to be there.
  • Installs an agent for after hours access.
  • Quick email link for them to select.
  • Multiple monitor support is a plus.
  • Mac usage is spotty. Sometimes agent doesn't start in Safari. Chrome always downloads the plugin each time you connect.
  • Don't like printer pass through. Was able to disable it though.
  • More notice of updates.

Our service technicians use it to connect to client machines in the course of daily work.
  • Speed of connections is very good. We've used several other remote connection services over the years and this is by far the fastest.
  • The service is frequently down (we are using the hosted version). So much so that we have considered moving it in-house.
Well suited for service providers needing to remotely connect to client machines.

Previously we used it to support customers of our software products. Currently, we use it to support our internal users and servers, as well as a means to connect to billing service clients to transfer files.
  • Connects through firewalls
  • Easily create and connect clients to temporary support sessions
  • Easily set up permanent access sessions
  • Screens depend on remote monitors bein connected, so can't change resolution or add monitors for servers without physical monitors being connected.
  • Temp sessions run without admin permissions, don't show admin credentials dialog, so admin support tech can't perform admin functions remotely if the user isn't an admin.
End user customer support works great. Could be better for internal support needs.

We use ScreenConnect with all of our employees to assist in IT help with customers who are on the road. We love that if someone is out of the office we can easily help them with any issue and they can see what is going on. It has assisted in time because we do not need to drive somewhere or talk on the phone and have them explain the issue, they can recreate the issue and have us see it in real time.
  • I love that after I need to reboot it easily reconnects.
  • The ability to let the client see what we are doing so they feel more involved and may learn how to address the issue in the future.
  • The ease for a user to get connected without going through a lengthy process.
  • I believe sometimes there is a lag in the mouse.
  • The web page can sometimes be a little more confusing than I would like.
I think ScreenConnect is appropriate in all aspects when you need to remote to a client. I can shut down the viewing portion when I need to access sensitive information and let them see when I think the next time they can solve the issue. It has cut down on are calls because they can learn things that when we use Windows Remote Desktop Connection we take over the session and they see nothing.

I utilized ScreenConnect to support our remote users throughout the country. [It was used for] providing technical support and helping them to troubleshoot issues that come up during their day. Many of our remote users never need to visit the office so this program provides a cost-effective way to keep them operating.
  • Connection to users is excellent. Receiving notifications when users need support allows for quick turnaround.
  • Chat and File downloads are quick and allow for support to easily support users.
  • Users report simple usage of app when they need support.
  • Implementation with popular communication programs such as Skype for Business or Slack. It would be great for a user to start a session right from a chat.
  • Customized directions for users on companies home page.

ScreenConnect has proven to be an invaluable tool for our business. We provide IT support and maintenance for local business and residential customers, and ScreenConnect's flexibility has allowed us to use one tool to provide support for both customers on a managed service contract as well as those looking for one-off break-fix support. ScreenConnect integrates seamlessly into our website, and requires minimal input from the customer, allowing us to provide them with a simple and pain-free experience. We've used a few different remote support tools over the years, and our customers agree that ScreenConnect has provided the best experience for everyone involved.
  • ScreenConnect integrates perfectly into our website to provide a company-branded portal that is visually appealing as well as effective and easy to use.
  • Starting a remote support session with ScreenConnect is very easy, both for the technician and the customer. The software requires minimal input from the customer, and we had little to no issue getting sessions up and running.
  • The customization options in ScreenConnect are surprisingly robust. While other software providers require additional (sometimes excessive) fees for the ability to white-label their software, ScreenConnect happily provides the ability with no added charge.
  • The only issue we ever had with ScreenConnect was connecting with Mac computers. The latest versions of OS X blocked the ScreenConnect client by default, requiring us to walk the customer through steps to disable certain security options over the phone prior to initiating a remote support session. This proved to be problematic, but as I understand it, the ScreenConnect developers are currently working on a solution.
  • I'd honestly like to include more cons, but I can't think of any.
ScreenConnect is extremely well suited to providing both unattended and on-demand remote support to clients. Providing on-demand support to new customers can be difficult with other software that we've tried, but ScreenConnect has made the process not just simple, but enjoyable. Screenconnect is probably not the best choice if you're looking to remotely access your personal computers at home.

Screenconnect is a great way to handle remote support calls. It literally saves me hundreds of dollars in gas/car/dry cleaning fees. I have used quite a few remote session solutions and everyone of them took 30-60 seconds to connect. It always ended up with me telling a client (politely) to wait. Screenconnect has me working on a desktop within 5 seconds of joining the session. It is extremely fast. The commands to reboot, change resolution, notes, etc., are right at my fingertips.

Anytime I need support from Screenconnect it’s a quick chat session away (I have not tried the phones as I prefer chat). It is far less expensive than other solutions I have used - a real bargain and they are a great partner to my business model.

  • Fast deployment
  • Fast Connection
  • Reliable connectivity
  • Better Android App
  • Android App that remembers password for faster login
Its a great product for remote tech support - that is my main field.

Used by two IT support staff to remotely assist end-users with all aspects of their desktop applications and enterprise apps, as well as maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, & training.
  • Easy to set up and use.
  • Doesn't muck-up the video settings on the remotely connected device.
  • ScreenConnect adds all of the printers present at the host to the client that it connects to. This mucks-up the remote settings of default printers and is a pain to remove all the superfluous printers that seem to remain present even after the session is disconnected.
  • Ability to create a VPN between host and client would be nice.
Well suited for the desktop support function.

Mostly it is used by the information technology team to diagnose and address problems. It provides an easy to use and secure method of access to remote desktops.
  • Screenconnect is robust. The remote sessions are fast, and the overhead on the remote PCs is minimal.
  • Screenconnect is flexible. You can deploy it easily from a script to populate your entire network, or you can set up one-time sessions.
  • Screenconnect is secure. In today's world of IT where every entry point is a possible intrusion this is paramount.
  • I don't really have any complaints with the product, so it's hard to find room for improvement. It simply does what I wish it to. Make it cheaper I guess? But it's already cheaper than most alternatives.
It's less appropriate in less techincally inclined environments. Compared to software such as LogMeIn screenconnect is much harder to understand if you don't have a good understanding of remote access.
