Our company uses ScreenConnect to remotely connect, and manage all of our company's computers across our three remote campuses. This product helps our company quickly and efficiently respond to help desk tickets regardless of our location, or the location of our clients. Since its installation, productivity and responsiveness have increased dramatically.

Best suited for an environment where your clients are spread out across multiple sites. I have personally used it to connect to clients all across the globe. The ability to create a session for people who are not a part of the organization is a plus as well. Being able to tell a vendor to go to a certain site and being able to help is a huge time saver.

We have a medical data portal that is used by remote neurologists to view a technician's computer in an operating room while the technician monitors spinal surgeries. We rely on ScreenConnect to be robust enough to maintain a real-time viewing of the remote computer's screen. We have about 4000 users with maybe 200 surgeries going on at any one time, all using Screenconnect that we built into our priority chat application.
  • With the API, we were able to incorporate ScreenConnect directly into our chat program to make it seamless for the remote physicians to connect to their technicians.
  • We have used other screen sharing programs in the past and even currently, like Join.me. With ScreenConnect, we have a license to run the software on our server plus I have an individual screenconnect license for general screensharing like when I do demos. We love this for the API that we use with our own chat program but I do find myself still using Join.me more often than ScreenConnect for doing demos. Join.me does have a better interface and I noticed that with ScreenConnect, I would get more delays or drops than Join.me when I use it for doing trainings or demos. However, for the API and running it on our servers for our clients, it is extremely solid.
As mentioned in the last question - the API and running it on our own servers is great. Using it from ScreenConnect servers as a replacement for Join.me is not as good, from what I can tell. I do wish the user interface was improved as we see in Join.me.

I use ScreenConnect to remotely assist my clients. It has saved me time and money by making it quick and easy to get connected to a user. With the solutions I was previously using I would often spend more time trying to get connected than I did actually fixing the problem once I got in.
  • Plays nice with firewalls and antivirus making it easy for even the least savvy end users to get connected without trouble.
  • Interface is smooth with no lag so I can complete the task at hand without waiting for the remote display to catch up when I've moved the mouse or clicked on something.
  • Fully customizable with my company logos and so much more professional than using a free product that isn't branded. It can also be embedded so that it's accessible directly through my website.
  • The ability to automatically have the client reconnect to a session after a restart is particularly nice. Previously I would have had to make startup changes or have the user manually reconnect if I was disconnected.
  • The toolbox feature is nice for keeping my commonly used diagnostic tools handy and ready to transfer to a client with a single click.
  • The only thing I can think of that would make it even easier would be to make the connection more instant for the client. Something that can be downloaded and run with a single click rather than a file that downloads that they have to manually click on to run. But it's certainly not difficult to do as is.
ScreenConnect is great for getting connected to my clients quickly when they have a problem. It's especially easy for computers with indefinite access.

[It's being used for] remote access to client Ps for troubleshooting purposes. It's integrated with my company website to allow users to request sessions, join a session, or I can join with unattended access. As with most remote connectivity software, I can resolve most computer issues without having to go on-site, thus saving time and increasing productivity.

  • Multi-monitor support is not the best. You have the option of viewing each monitor individually or all , but the "all" option just creates a monstrous spread and does not open a separate window to represent each connected monitor.
  • Useful for IT service providers as well as remote connectivity for employees to supported work assets. I use it for both purposes but primarily remote connectivity to IT clients.
  • Works very well in comparison to other platforms I have used, and have not yet identified a situation where it is not appropriate to use (at least for me).
  • The back-end controls for restricting certain functions and access are very robust.

I currently use ScreenConnect in my IT department. I selected ScreenConnect because I am able to connect remotely to any computer in my organization and even some that are not. I was able to organize computers by department. Having ScreenConnect on every device also helps keep track of my inventory and who is using what computer.

ScreenConnect is being utilized to across our various offices. It allows our administrators to cut out thousands of miles worth of separation between locations and make it as if we were helping them in the same room. Whether it is the basic printing device that is failing, to full software upgrades, ScreenConnect has offered exactly what we need for remote administration.
  • Real-time inventory of connected devices is given with the ability to push updated client versions out silently.
  • Unlike other remote management systems, ScreenConnect has a good balance between having all the tools you need without being a bloated program. I have not gone wanting for an additional option that is not part of the program.
  • The support team is down to earth and helpful in any situation needed. It is similar to a familiar face instead of a mysterious corporation.
  • There were some basic graphics and remedial styling with it until they recently updated things.
  • On rare occasions, the client install will drop and the client will have to do a second install.
  • The window that automatically opens once connected provides the best resolution, but it can get grainy quickly if the initial window is expanded into a larger view.
I am really happy with the connectivity when doing OS upgrades. I have used other remote connection software that does not reconnect to the client once a restart occurs. ScreenConnect allowed me to upgrade a Windows 7 desktop to Windows 10 without being attended on the other side of the country. I didn't get cut off by the initial prompts when restarted or forced to send command prompts to force my way to the login screen.
The only lag that I get when running is only related to broadband speeds and not the program itself. Even with an intermittent connection, the program still connects as soon as a broadband service disruption clears.

  • Issue with VMs. With Screenconnect running on a windows 7 VM. VM locks and needs to be restarted.

We are an IT consulting firm. We implemented ScreenConnect so we could [service] our LogMeIn Central and Rescue accounts with a single unified product. The Connectwise integration is helpful as well. I'm not a fan that they don't let us import asset info from ScreenConnect just because they want us to buy LabTech.

We have four ScreenConnect seats and will be adding more in the future.
  • It's a great "live streaming" remote session tool. The Kaseya streaming was glitchy and LogMeIn Rescue is really expensive without agent support.
  • Unlimited Agents is one of the deciding factors to replace the other products.
  • The toolset that comes with ScreenConnect (remote commandline, tool box, etc.) is very helpful. It was one of the reasons it is a serious competitor to Kaseya.
  • Agent management is a bit clunky.
  • Not allowing asset/device integration with ConnectWise is just mean.
  • It would be nice to get a discount if we use Connectwise and have multiple seats.
Great for MSPs or internal IT for strictly remote connection and support. Its focus on remote control is a strength and sometimes a limitation.

We deploy screenconnect to centralize remote access into our client environments. All of our support and technical project staff uses the product to support our customers. It helps us quickly jump into their environments without engineering a client VPN solution or other modes of access. It's secure and easy to maintain.
  • It gets by UAC so we can remotely use our admin passwords on machines to install software and other administrative tasks.
  • Centralizes everything in a SaaS solution so we don't have to maintain another server.
  • Its secure and enables us to quickly install the product and get to supporting our customers in a shorter span of time.
  • We could use an integration into our help desk, FreshService. This would enable us to click on a user to gain access to their PC or click on an asset item in freshservice.
  • More reporting on who is connecting and for how long and what is being done when connected. It would be a really cool feature to auto record sessions and store them in the cloud or attach directly to the ticket as an audit trail.
It's great for simple remote access into Windows-based devices. You can easily connect in an unattended fashion or give a user a one-time access link/code. It probably has the most attractive pricing and does exactly what it's focused on, remote management for Windows. I wouldn't use it if you need really advanced use cases or specific needs. It should be for simple, cost-effective remote management.

Our organization uses ScreenConnect to access client computers and servers remotely for support. The business problem it addresses is to quickly and efficiently solve a client's problem.
  • It is quick and easy for my clients to allow me to access their computers with ScreenConnect either through a web browser or email link.
  • I really like how ScreenConnect allows me to use my dual monitors and see my client's dual monitors.
  • It is also very easy to add multiple computers and servers that I access on a regular basis.
  • A shorter URL, some people that aren't real computer savvy have a difficult time understanding and typing in screenconnect.com
I do computer support so it is very well suited to access my clients' computers remotely and I also add in most of the servers I support using access solutions so I can quickly and easily access the servers. It is also more secure than using Remote Desktop to access the servers since that opens a port on the firewall and can increase the chance of being hacked.

We have a client base of around 100,000 customers under the software assurance program we provide. Screenconnect saves the technical operations department the hassle of email instructions and over the call instructions for customers to follow. Instead, it allows an efficient mechanism to remotely access the system based on multiple platforms through a single tool and support them all.
  • Easy remote access feature through links or a secured code with encryption facility.
  • Session recording features to enable the quality department to assure adherence to guidelines.
  • One click connect access through .exe application installed on Client PC.
  • Report management could have been better in terms of interface.
Most light but yet competent within the spool of available tools, it's ideal for IT service providers or administrators to carry out the work efficiently be it just the ticket generation or in-depth problem resolution.

ScreenConnect is currently being used across the entire organization. It allows users to work remotely when needed and for IT support to connect to their desktops when they need assistance. The functionality and ease of use are great even for the less technical users.
  • Ease of Use - user logins with their id and has the choice of just seeing their assigned computer, all computers, or some mixture of the two depending on security permissions. Searching amongst multiple available computers is as easy as a search.
  • Ease of Deployment - End users can easily install the tool and select their username with minimal direction.
  • Secure - Unless someone has the administrator ID, I am confident of the security of the tool.
  • The ability to transfer files (Windows Explorer) to the remote desktop without taking control of the screen would be a nice feature.
  • System resource reporting available remotely would be nice so you could check this in the background.
So far I've found ScreenConnect to be well suited for all remote support and remote access needs. I would say that if working remotely for a full day it might be more productive to use Remote Desktop if that's a viable option.

ScreenConnect allows me to connect and support my clients, it also allows customization of the installer and from the dashboard I can view the status of connected clients. Wake On LAN allows me to access clients after hours even if they have forgotten to leave on their PC's for maintenance.
  • WakeOn LAN is vital for client access after hours, especially when clients can forget to leave their computers switched on
  • Customization of the portal and dashboard
  • Plugins to enhance the experience such as remote computer specs, scripting to automate tasks, running processes

I am a sole proprietor that operates a tech support company. I recently moved away from the town where I had many clients. My clients were still interested in working with me. ScreenConnect makes that possible. I am able to earn money from afar because I use ScreenConnect.
  • Able to connect with my clients anywhere I have the internet.
  • The Admin console is easy to navigate. All the buttons are where I would expect them to be.
  • Client installation is easy for those I am supporting. Even the most non-tech person can do it.
  • Provide better groupings by organization
Screen connect is very helpful in a Tech support position where a client needs assistance. Before ScreenConnect I assisted people over the phone and quite often had to direct them from memory. This phone assistance was a challenge as I needed to describe locations on the screen. Sometimes my clients could not find what I was describing. With ScreenConnect the the assistance I provide is so much more quicker as I can take the mouse got straight to the problem.

I have select users who either access specific machines or a series of machines in their respective departments. My users are in a mixed environment of Mac and PC. Compared to our last solution, we ran into many problems when connecting to Mac machines. The main concern was the increased lag of the connection. ScreenConnect has resolved this solution and my users are very happy with the switch.
  • Connection speed within the Apple environment - With previous solutions, the remote connection on a Mac was always slow whether I was connecting from home or from another computer on a 1GB network int he same server room. ScreenConnect works well with both the PC and the Mac.
  • Mobile App - As an admin, the mobile app is very friendly. I particularly like the user experience of the emulated mouse.
  • Documentation - There are some features that do not have a simple GUI interface, for instance, setting up a Remote User group based on the person's login. However, the documentation is readily available and thorough.
  • Customer Service - Companies with great customer service ranked highly in my opinion. The ScreenConnect team is not only knowledgeable about their product, but they are always friendly and helpful whenever I call.
  • Ease of providing an install file to install on multiple machines. Each time I have tried to download an installer build for another machine, the computer never connects to the ScreenConnect servers. The only way I am able to successfully install ScreenConnect is to log into ScreenConnect on the machine I want to connect and then download the installer build to install.
For my users and I, remote connecting to our work computers is the only scenario. Additionally, due to the control of permissions admins can enforce, no one can connect to, let alone see, any other machines running ScreenConnect. This level of security is necessary in order to prevent anyone from accidentally accessing the wrong machine.

We are a multidiscipline consulting engineering firm and we utilize ScreenConnect in multiple ways. We use it for providing our field employees remote assistance as well as to provide support for our clients. It has made us more efficient by being able to provide our clients hands-on assistance, instead of just walking them through the process via phone.

We tend to have professionals who have trouble grasping the technology of today. Screenconnect allows me to show them how to correctly operate the website or technology. The big advantage is the ease of showing them how to connect. It virtually leads them through the process. Other programs require me to walk them through accessing the support program, by that point I might as well just walk them through verbally.

I was able to use screenconnect to walk a professional through accessing our website; to downloading his Mp3/Mp4 files, to loading them on to his iPad/iPhone. Screenconnect allowed my PC to connect to his Mac, and allowed me to show him the different functionalities. It made a very difficult process, very simple.
