Reviews
(551-575 of 613)Great remote access solution for small business
- Excellent video compression
- Good variety of tools available for communications and file transfers
- Good value
- Mobile interface is a little clunky, can be difficult to navigate
- Would like a desktop application to launch instead of being forced to use a web browser
- Branding options for customer portals
Wish I had purchased sooner!!!
- Easy access to other users' computers
- Easy access to my computer from home
- Easy to view employees' monitors while they are working
ScreenConnect great for MSPs
- Easy to walk users to connect to a session over the phone
- Easy to switch remote sessions to access clients
- Customizable page and domain so it's easy to tell users where to go and see our logo
- It would be helpful if you could show two monitors as separate windows, instead of one giant connected window
ScreenConnect Remote Desktop...ROCKS!!!
- There is no lag in the software. Other remote desktop software there is a lag in connection and using the mouse.
- SC offers a ton of options to help out the end-user.
- SC needs to fix an issue with clients always having to download the client plugin to use SC again. The first time I can see, but to keep installing it is a waste.
Save money and get more features with ScreenConnect!
- Quick Remote connections
- Easy to understand web control interface
- Cost effective
- Cost effective solution
- Video performance could be better
Satisfied ScreenConnect User
- Very quick connection.
- Can have multiple sessions open.
- Supports 2 factor authentication.
- Reporting is our largest issue. Reporting on access by client for example does not exist.
ScreenConnect - An excellent tool for managing large numbers of remote computers with minimal staff
- Remote PC and Mac administration - Allows simple and fast access to staff computers from any location.
- Easy administration of the managed ScreenConnect computers. We can organize the many we manage into simple groupings, making it easy to find them online.
- Better zooming from the technician perspective. With some systems, the client's "screen" is simply too small.
- Client connection speeds can lag on slower PCs.
- During a connection, the tools that hover above the screen can accidently be hovered over, causing them to expand. They then get in the way. I'd rather have them less likely to be selected.
Perhaps less important for single location businesses.
ScreenConnect isn't REMOTEly awesome, it is Amazing!
- The ability to reconnect after dropped connections or restarts is far ahead of the other remote clients I've used in the past.
- Management of saved connections and the ability to remotely update with little to no interruption is an amazingly simple idea, but implemented very well.
- Allowing for individualized deployment packages to be created from the management control panel.
- The licensing seems a little wonky to me, though that could be as a fairly new user though.
ScreenConnect is a powerful bargain alternative to LogMeIn
- Screenconnect allows for my customers to send me messages through the agent on their machine. It allows canned responses when I am away from the console.
- Screenconnect allows for permanent access to be installed very easily when in a temporary support session.
- Screenconnect allows me to brand the system in all ways from the icons used for the agent in the taskbar to the support portal that my customers see.
- The configuration of screenconnect can be a little daunting for people who do not have HTML/CSS/XML experience. Even though there are a ton of options, they are a little difficult to understand.
- Permissions for additional users could also be more straightforward if you want to limit those users.
ScreenConnect is awesome!
- Ease of use. Intuitive interface. Very simple for IT team and users to utilize
- Feature set compares to bigger names in the support application marketplace
- Interact with applications other than just screen sharing
Screenconnect is great!
- System is reliable - it just works and is there when you need it which I can not say about all previous systems I have used.
- Upgrades are smooth.
- Remote performance on the latest version is much improved from older versions.
- None - it does everything we need it to. The last thing I want is a piece of software that tries to do everything and ends up doing nothing well.
Reliable and cost effective
- When Windows starts a reboot and stops on a screen to tell you that applications are open and gives you the option to cancel or close them - ScreenConnect shows that screen - LogMeIn does not which puts a remote computer in limbo.
- Easy to set up deploy.
- Seems to be pretty reliable - I haven't really had any issues since I changed over.
- Speed, which has improved but a little faster would be nice.
- I don't care much for the drop down menu and Ctrl + Alt + Del button is awkward. I'd like for the menu to be cleaner.
ScreenConnect - connecting us with our render farm
- Clear Interface - ScreenConnect's interface is easy to understand and enables you to see all of your assets at a glance, which saves time.
- Responsive Customer Support - Any questions I've had for the ScreenConnect team were responded to promptly, and those I have engaged in a live chat have been able to process my query quickly.
- White Label Opportunities - We've been able to brand ScreenConnect in a few ways to blend in with our existing software, creating a comfortable working environment for our staff and contractors.
- Customization - We've tweaked a number of features to suit us, minimizing the impact our administrative actions have on staff workflow.
- Pricing - we'd love a per seat pricing structure; as our team size has changed we’ve been over the limit for the number of seats in our particular plan – the next plan up is significantly over what is required so we've gone without ScreenConnect access on some machines at times.
ScreenConnect is remote awesomeness!
- I think I like the ability for the users to get connected to me quickly and without much fuss. Of course, I still have users that struggle, but the ScreenConnect product seems to work the easiest for my clients.
- I like Mac OS support, that's pretty handy.
- Reboot and reconnect is a must have. Thanks for providing it.
- I would really like a ScreenConnect client for iPads, iPhones and Android tablets.
Why ScreenConnect
- Ability to chat
- Best is the ability to copy and paste from a location to a remote session
- Different join or authentication methods
- Cloud based
- The screenconnect mobile app needs some improvements
- It would be good to be able to group the session by its organization
ScreenConnect to inspect and correct is perfect.
- ScreenConnect makes client participation easy. Little effort is required on the end users part.
- The cost of ScreenConnect versus other companies was incredible. As a small business, this was a major factor in my decision.
- The quality of the connection between the host and client is extremely good. Very little lag is noticed when completing tasks on the remote PC.
- Connecting with others for meetings is simple and effective.
- File transfers can be slightly confusing but not a major issue.
- The mobile app does not allow you to save credentials. Touch ID would be a great benefit.
- Mobile App appears to be simply loading the website. An app designed specifically for the host may allow for better interaction.
After 15 years of chasing remote software, I found ScreenConnect
- Quick setup of sessions with minimal amount of effort on the part of the client.
- Great tracking detail and connection information for quick access when you are supporting hundreds of installed clients.
- The fact that several companies can all have their own screenconnect installed on the same machine. Instead of one contractor using Kaseya, another using TeamViewer, another using VNC/VPN, or GoToMyPC,.... you get it, I try to get all vendors on a project to use ScreenConnect. Not only does it work but it stabilizes the environment and eliminates security risks with one low-cost solution.
- The last but most overlooked feature is the ability to connect at a command line level and execute scripts without bothering the working user.
- A choice to have screenconnect give a more prominent announcement of the presence of a tech and then give the client the ability to say no to the tech's session, without preventing the tech's ability to connect when the client is not at the machine. Meaning the default is connect, unless the client clicks "No connect".
- I find the meeting software clumsy when I am trying to connect several participants to a meeting on a server where no one, including the host is physically at the server.
- The ability to pretest a remote connection's network quality before trying to engage a meeting or support session. Sometimes the destination does not have sufficient bandwidth. I would like to know this before I have a client engaged in a session. You remote in and the session is a black screen or has black squares. And is severely delayed. If I know in advance I can reschedule the session or connect by another means.
- Maybe one in every 15 sessions the keyboard does not map correctly and no matter what letter I type it is the letter "a" on the other side or I cannot type at all. This seems to be more prevalent of a problem when one or both machines are an Apple.
- The ability to have multiple accounts on the same tab of a browser, right now I have to have at least three tabs open at once for all the screenconnect accounts I am using.
- Perfectly suited when you support users who want the least amount of involvement in starting a session.
- Perfectly suited when you want to monitor activity on a machine without logging into a session
- Perfectly suited for having multiple sessions open at one time, although I wish the session icon on my end had info so I would always bring up the correct open session.
ScreenConnect Review
Many of our customers are spread over a wide geographical area, both this and the ability to respond immediately often make remote support a better option to being on site, especially when responding outside of office hours.
- Remote support - even at low bandwidth.
- See online status of terminals at a glance.
- Grouping and searching of remote clients.
- Logging of support - quick reporting of billable hours would be desirable, along with annotated notes.
- File transfer - could be much more seamless if remote files didn't need to be selected on remote clients' desktop.
- New pricing structure is very costly, self-hosted instance for multiple engineers offered previously would be desirable, current offerings are no longer competitive.
ScreenConnect makes it easy to connect!
- It is very easy to connect a customer either via telling them the website to go to and enter their name or to email them a link to use to connect.
- It is very quick and works across every operating system platform where our prior system had compatibility issues in this area.
- The feature to do remote host connections works very well, this is good for unattended machines or trusted customers that are not particularly IT savvy.
- I would like the ability to see all monitors and scroll across them instead of the need to switch between monitors. You can see all monitors at first so to speak but the resolution is so small that you need to pick a specific monitor.
- Sometimes, with multiple screens the sizing gets messed up but require just zooming in. Most users have multiple screens so making it easy to work with them it very important.
ScreenConnect Review
- SImple
- Quick
- Cost effective
- ScreenConnect has helped my business be more efficient and cost effective - allowing our work from home employees more time to do what they want - while keeping productivity up.
- Always happy when things get cheaper
Buy ScreenConnect
- If there is an issue with a system time or date on the computer, most remote support tools will not be able to negotiate a connection. ScreenConnect is able to circumvent this problem that seems to effect software like LogMeIn (since the least time I used it in 2013).
- Dual factor authentication. Supports YubiKey, Google Authenticator, and OTP codes from email. Even though I don't use it, ScreenConnect supports connecting to a Windows group policy for this as well.
- The MacOS client does not use Java, which is a great thing from a security standpoint. The Linux client does need Java, however, this isn't something that impacts me as an end user.
- My biggest concern is the internal security of their cloud platform. Recently they upgraded their TLS and SSL protocols/cipher suites to disable insecure and broken negotiation techniques (which I'm very excited about), but the end user does not have control over what cipher suites or SSL/TLS protocols they'd like to enable. This may be a limitation with their choice of OS/web server platform, but it would be a neat feature to have.
- While the MacOS client does not need Java as I previously stated, it is lacking drag and drop support like the Windows client had, and it's missing printer support.
- Self-hosted is unaffordable for small companies. It used to be a great deal for the # of concurrent licenses but they've moved to a monthly cloud rate. This sort of goes back to my # 1 point. I wish to host ScreenConnect in a more restricted and secure environment than their Amazon AWS cloud platform. But I can't justify the cost of a self-hosted license for just 9-10 remote access points.
- The emailing features are extremely limited, and even with the Advanced SMTP plugin, I'm still struggling to get ScreenConnect to send emails via our work SMTP.
Unbiased ScreenConnect review
- Ease of deployment.
- Ease of use regarding deploying software from within the toolbox.
- Ad-hoc sessions.
- The pricing model could use some work. We currently have 3 licenses, but if one is being used for a meeting, I am unable to use remote connectivity until a free license is available.
- The 3 seat license is a great deal, but price increases tremendously after that.
- I'm not a fan of Connectwise (worked for a terrible MSP who used it, so that's just personal preference)
ScreenConnect, the best you can get
- Being able to connect to a machine/server even if a DNS server is down or broken is a great feature, as we use LabTech a lot. If it goes down or a DC goes down we still need to be able to connect to devices, and screenconnect can still connect to devices, so its great.
- If LabTech is down, we can log into the web console and use that for remote support so we can still do our jobs and support clients.
- I enjoy the speed screenconnect produces, even with people using 3 dongles or that have poor internet service. We don't have any issues with screenconnect, compared to VNC where it will pause.
- Integration with other third party software could be improved, or a Windows application that can be used to manage PCs and clients, given that screenconnect can gather so much info about devices.
- It's hard to use the data that is collected because it's in a web browser if there was an application that could provide realtime data and alerts it would make it much more attractive as a remote support tool.
- We find some compatibility with older machines, like Windows 7 and certain graphics drivers, that I think could be improved, as all we see is a black screen.
ScreenConnect Connected Me to My users
- Easy remote support
- Great tools once you remote in
- I have had issues with the iOS app.
- I think the minimum number of connections should be higher than 3.
ScreenConnect for Remote Access is Great!
- It is easy for the end users to get connected and there are several options to do it.
- Remote control is very fast
- Unattended access is much better than the competition
- Drag and Drop file transfer to the session rather than a file manager program.
- Printer connection between local and remote session is great! I can print to my printer from the remote session.
- It might be nice to have an option to be able to add quick links to frequently used commands so we do not have to use the drop down menu.
