It came down to pricing, ease of use and speed of deployment. We found it was much faster to use ConnectWise Control to setup new computers and the user management workflow was a huge win for us.

  • TeamViewer is far more expensive than ConnectWise and was replaced. It is still the fastest on high latency links.
  • Avast Business is still in use for antivirus, but not for remote access. The speed is terrible.
  • LogMeIn was decommissioned several years ago when they tripled the cost for small customers.
  • Nanosystems Supremo was recently decommissioned in favour of ConnectWise. Supremo is a very slow product.

I like ConnectWise Control better. It's easier to use and manage. The billing and customer service is straight forward. TeamViewer is a great product, but having to deal with support is always a bit of a pain and they are always slow to respond.

We wanted a tool that integrated with our other tools to make being able to support our employees smooth for both the help desk and the employees needing help. Our RMM tool had a few options to choose for Remote helping but ConnectWise was the cheapest and the smoothest so we decided they were the one we wanted.

TeamViewer is overpriced and must be upgraded to work everytime a new version is released. Also, the client-side install is kind of heavy. FixMe.IT does not support MAC OS. Splashtop seemed very slow compared to other remote access programs.

We selected ConnectWise Control for it's easy licensing model, because it is easy to use, has a fast remote connection, and has good remote support for our customers. We also evaluated TeamViewer, LogMeIn, Bomgar, and other competitors, but ConnectWise Control fits perfectly our needs. Also the possibility to create and manage online meetings is a great feature for our users.

Connectwise Control is orders of magnitude cheaper than LogMeIn while having all the features we need from both LogMeIn Central and LogMeIn Rescue. It also doesn't have the obnoxious issues experienced with TeamViewer. After 50% price increases year over year with LogMeIn, we migrated our 500 users over to Connectwise Control and never looked back!

ConnectWise Control is almost as good for remote control. The other product increased its price to an unacceptable level. After testing ConnectWise Control, it was found to be a great replacement at a perfect price point.

I have used TeamViewer and did not like it. There were only annual options and I was unable to purchase a monthly license which is often required for dynamic environments. I like ConnectWise as there appears to be no limit to the number of remote agents I can deploy for the same fixed monthly fee.

ConnectWise offered a cleaner UI and less set up. Specifically with TeamViewer, the constant need for ID and passcode every time got repetitive and with a bad phone connection mistakes were always made. The other options didn't seem to provide a very nice user experience either and at a cost much greater than what we were willing to pay as a small business.

ScreenConnect is by far a superior product, it has better tools, it is more secure, and by far it is easier for non-technical users to get up and running with remote support. The simple, intuitive UI allows us to focus more on support rather than ports and configurations for the software. I will never go back to using TeamViewer after finding this software.
