I have worked at a few companies and have used multiple remote screen share applications. These applications are just the ones I have experience with.

In terms of cost, with the exception of TeamViewer, ConnectWise Control stands easily above the others. However, ConnectWise Control has the lowest initial cost for deployment.

As for functionality, when looking at a basic remote support tool, ConnectWise Control with ease-of-use beats out the others.

We tried every kind of remote tools, none is as stable, strong, fast and reliable as Control. There are many good products, but often with higher prices and not the same features, for example, toolbox is one of the amazing tools in our pocket now. It's amazing and perfect.

We replaced LogMeIn Central with ConnectWise Control when the LogMeIn price became untenable. We found that ConnectWise Control did everything we needed and more at a very reasonable price point.

Dameware: I don't remember the exact version but I had 2 of their engineers trying to install or setting the demo up on my computers over 2 sessions and they never were able to make it work. I was able to access the location's computers but never remote offices. All other software were crazy out of price range, I forgot the names of all of them, not to be remembered anyway.

I tested multiple products, but ConnectWise gave me the best feature set for the most reasonable price. Security concerns were also a factor. I had experienced some compromised PCs using other remote access products.

We tried Join.Me, Teamviewer, & Zoho connect as well as Connectwise Control when deciding on a remote support tool. The department director had previous experience with this product & recommended it to the staff. Some of the other options (that we didn't go with) were too expensive & others lacked certain features that we wanted.

I used TeamViewer for the longest time as a young IT professional, and had a fair dabbling with LogMeIn and MSP-Anywhere. Each of those solutions has polish in some aspects, but none of them ever had the complete picture. TeamViewer suffered rampant security issues, and has always felt like a tool geared towards personal users and non-tech departments. It was always too in your face for end users. LogMeIn is expensive. No getting around it. And their product has always seemed slow and often very feature-light. For the cost I'd expect to be getting a Ferrari, but when a Civic pulls into the driveway its a little lackluster. MSP-Anywhere always seemed to suffer technical issues. Especially with multi-monitor computers, changing which monitor was displayed could result in total session lock up, which AFAIK still isn't resolved to this day.

So far we've been happy with the performance, but are always considering alternatives. For our use, ConnectWise is very similar to alternatives. If we used some of the higher level features ConnectWise would probably stand out more.

We had been long time users of TeamViewer, however the product was a nightmare for clients and end users who had multiple parties requesting access to their machines for support of various applications. There were times when clients simply gave up out of frustration trying to work out which particular version of TeamViewer support they had to be opening or closing. The product was not particularly robust when dealing with overly restrictive networks and did not deal well with slow or high latency connections.
While several other options were reviewed, none had the feature set at an acceptable price to compete with ConnectWise Control.

Comparably, the features and ease of use aren't even in the same league. As far as cost, one is free and the other is extremely expensive, but Control rivals it in every way at a fraction of the cost.

Initially, the biggest reason I chose to use (at the time) Screen Connect was due to the price difference between it and the competitors. It has since evolved into a product that I would choose based on price AND function.

Cost, cost, cost.
As a non-profit, our resources are extremely limited. Other resources were strong but I had used ScreenConnect for a number of years as an MSP. ConnectWise Control is an extremely strong product for the cost. We looked briefly at GoToMyPC and TeamViewer but the features and cost advantages of ConnectWise Control were outstanding.

My decision to choose ConnectWise Control over the other products was pricing. ConnectWise lacked some of the features, but the main functionality I needed was there, so I chose it.
