Historically we have used LogMeIn and TeamViewer. When we selected ScreenConnect we trialed GoToMyPC and Bomgar. We found ScreenConnect to have the best feature set for the price. We have the added benefit to having used ConnectWise and LabTech for several years so we have a relationship with the company that runs ScreenConnect and have had an excellent experience with these programs. Any features that may be better with the competitors I am confident ScreenConnect will work on adding these features and listening to our feedback as a customer.

Cost savings. I just wish I could convert my existing instance to a Canadian Billed service. Right now I want to open a new Canadian instance and close down my US billed one, but I cannot get the answer from staff after several emails I am not getting any answers. Moreover, the sales process was very confusing. As I was looking into other offerings, I had too many people contacting me and checking up I understand the internal process was changing.... but the customer experience in dealing with people internally leaves a LOT to be desired. I am totally frustrated right now. But I do like the software so I am torn as to whether to abandon or keep at it.

I have tested all three of the alternative platforms, and ScreenConnect beats all of them. The fact that this is web based is really important, as it doesn't require a suite of software to be installed. After a quick plugin installation, you can run screenconnect from any PC or mobile device.

Products like TeamViewer are well outside of the price range for me as a sole proprietor doing one on one sessions for my clients only. Products like Join.me don't offer me the flexibility of having remote control of client's computers. I chose ScreenConnect for a) the functionality that I need, b) reliability of service and c) cost savings.

Each product has a slightly different licensing model. I get the best value out of the ScreenConnect licensing of one simultaneous technician with up to 3 active sessions. ScreenConnect has been reliable (except the mobile app) and I've not had any trouble installing the product on client equipment. Past experience with some of the other competitors' products has [shown] difficulty rendering the display remotely or [while] installing.

I have tried them all. I believe ScreenConnect offers the best of a complete package. It's got better ad-hoc options than GoToMeeting and LogMeIn and even MSP Anywhwere, but LogMeIn does have a better dashboard in terms of user-friendly management and configuration. Their support could be better, but it's not often we need it. Although the security features are adequate, they're not easy to manage. I do like the option to use 2 factor auth, it's very important to me.

I have used TeamViewer, LogMeIn Rescue, and GoToMyPC. All of these services were stable and most of them had multiple connection methods but for the price, nothing beats ScreenConnect. It has stability and many different methods for creating a remote session. I recommend this to all admins looking for a remote solution.

I use a MSP to assist with some of the troubleshooting that might arise. Initially, they let me use their remote software (I don't remember the company) but because of security concerns, had to limit my access. They replaced their remote access software with ScreenConnect. I started to investigate and had experience with Remote Access, TeamViewer, TightVNC, and LogMeIn. Since I don't have a very large user base, ScreenConnect had the best price point. And since my MSP was already using ScreenConnect on our workstations, I was able to run my local installation in parallel with theirs without any conflicts. The tech support has been outstanding with prompt return call and emails.

LogMeIn used to be free and this was a service I used quite often. Unfortunately when the free service was no longer offered, the prices I found were rather extortionate. I then researched for alternatives and screenconnect was the first I looked at, and appeared to be the cheapest solution. Definitely some serious value for money.

We considered Teamviewer but the initial cost versus the ScreenConnect initial cost was a big issue for us. We wanted an app with payment options and not just a one time fee app. That's why we gave ScreenConnect a try and we loved it immediately. This way we also ensure we always run the latest version and we can trust there's someone updating and fixing issues with the app.

ScreenConnect is priced very affordably compared to TeamViewer and as a small business owner with fluctuating costs it's an added plus that ScreenConnect's pricing structure includes monthly payment options whereas TeamViewer does not.

The system provides a lot more features for remote support, and remote control whereas TeamViewer does not. Unlike TeamViewer, a ScreenConnect license is valid across software versions and devices. Software upgrades aren't required to access full functionality.

Screen Connect is cloud based – which means it goes where you go – with an account that you can access remotely/anywhere on the go and other staff can share the account should they need to remote control a computer.

LogMeIn is too expensive and does not work on one of our machines that uses a specialized video card. Splashtop is not very reliable. Sessions will disconnect or not connect frequently. RealVNC is a pain to setup. ScreenConnect is priced right, extremely reliable, and simple to deploy and maintain.

They have a large company, Citrix, backing them and that could be perceived as better in certain eyes. However, I felt that the price for what I got with Screen Connect was a better value and it pretty much worked the same. The graphical user interface of GoToAssist might be a little prettier but that doesn't make a difference to me.

LogMeIn was very expensive for what it offered. LogMeIn also separated their services into different products where as ScreenConnect is all in one. ScreenConnect is also easier to install and manage compared to TeamViewer support.

We used LogMeIn Central for several years. Though it worked very well for us, the cost increases drove us to find an alternative. Overall, I prefer most aspects of ScreenConnect, I did find the administration interface of LogMeIn to be a bit better.

TeamViewer due to the reported breach earlier this year. Other than that, we were very happy with it. All things being equal, we find TeamViewer a little easier to use (maybe due to our short time with SC). That may change in the future.
