Usability is fairly easy. We like that we can sign in to the portal and access any computer in our organization that has screenconnect installed. It is easy to conduct remote session with those who are at remote locations.

I was most concerned with product features and price when I was making my purchase decision. I investigated a number of similar systems, and we were already using a similar system, but it was not well suited for our purposes. We required a piece of software that would allow us to deploy to a large number of remote computers. Those computers would not be on our domain, and not owned by us, but we would need to be able to connect into them when called upon. As a bonus we're able to connect to clients computers that don't have the agent software installed, allowing ad-hoc support sessions.

I have been using this product for years. I knew about its features and was able to convince the company to use it. One they tried the personal version the were sold.

Ultimately the key factor was price, as we needed a solution which could scale as we grew - i.e. we could add licenses as our client base and team size increased - without penalising us with prohibitive costs.

It is a cost effective and functional product. Better then in-house developed or VNC experiments and less expensive than other alternatives.
Yearly cost:
LogMein - $7200 for 250 machines (went up from $1400 in one year)
AVG Managed workplace - +/- $6500 for 250 machines

So Screenconnect at $840 for 250 machines is reasonable. Let's all hope it stays that way.

Price was the most important factor in the decision to purchase ScreenConnect. While usability and features were important as well most products that were looked at had the core requirements we needed. After that, it came down to what could be afforded at our current level and any growth that we anticipated.

The immense value given by purchasing ScreenConnect is in my opinion the single biggest perk of owning the Software. The total cost of ownership is a pleasure to display on budgeting spreadsheets.

The fact that ScreenConnect was able to offer all the of options I needed in a package that was easy to use and integrate into my support structure combined with the cost of an annual subscription made choosing it a no brainer. Really the reasonable price won me over in the end.
