ConnectWise Sell is a versatile tool that serves multiple departments within an organization. Sales, engineering, project managers, and executive management all rely on ConnectWise Sell to quote IT and Managed Services Solutions. The software plays a vital role in the opportunity management process, simplifying the quoting process for hardware, software, and services. Users have praised its ability to generate clean and professional-looking quotes efficiently.

ConnectWise Sell fills a critical gap in the review process by providing a platform for quoting, purchasing, and electronic orders. It seamlessly integrates with CRM applications and major distributors, making it easy to create and customize quotes. This integration ensures accurate information and desired branding. Additionally, ConnectWise Sell offers real-time product pricing and availability confirmation, enabling quick and efficient quote creation. Its navigational ease enhances visibility into order progress, benefiting the sales team's workflow efficiency.

One of the outstanding features of ConnectWise Sell is its capability to automate the ordering process and scan SKUs for purchasing. This eliminates manual errors and improves overall accuracy. Users appreciate how ConnectWise Sell streamlines the creation of managed services proposals, project proposals, and hardware/software quotes. By providing up-to-date information on orders, this tool helps reduce time requirements and enables faster deal closures.

While ConnectWise Sell has received positive feedback from users, some have encountered challenges when integrating it with Dynamics 365. These issues include bugs and a perceived lack of support. However, despite these concerns, ConnectWise Sell remains a key tool for sales teams as it provides web solutions and integration capabilities with other products in the stack. Quosal is often mentioned alongside ConnectWise Sell as another valuable tool used for sales quotes by order management teams.

They suggest conducting thorough due diligence, going beyond the canned demo, and considering other available alternatives to make an informed decision.

Overall, it is recommended to try out ConnectWise Sell using its trial feature, utilize it as a prospecting tool, and carefully consider other options while conducting thorough due diligence before making a decision.

We are using CW Sell with Dynamics 365 in our organization. The integration with Dynamics 365 has been awful. When we had our first demo with the account rep and their engineers, we were promised the world and that everything was going to work. They answered yes to every question we had. We are about 9 months into using the products and every week we discover a new issue. Their support is not helpful and it takes a very long time to get things answered. Our main issue is that CW Sell DOES NOT work with Dynamics 365 nicely. There are so many bugs in Sell that we thought we were their first customer to have this integration. Some products from Sell don't transfer to Dynamics 365. Sell will corrupt your SharePoint environment if you use SharePoint as a document location. It is very difficult to make CW take issues seriously; it seems we are often ignored.
  • Proposal template looks professional.
  • The system is reasonably easy to learn and use.
  • It does not sufficiently integrate with Dynamics 365.
  • The system has had a huge number of bugs.
  • Most of the employees we work with do not take issues seriously, and it takes a very long time to obtain assistance.
  • The company seems to lack employees with sufficient technical knowledge to address issues.
ConnectWise Sell is probably well suited for a company with very basic proposal needs and plans on using ConnectWise Manage for CRM needs. If a company has anything beyond basic proposal needs and uses a CRM system other than ConnectWise Manage, that company should proceed with caution.

  • Implementing ConnectWise Sell and dealing with issues has drained a great deal time and resources. This has provided negative ROI because I have been dealing with issues and have not even had time to use the system in a strategic manner.
We were using D-Tools for proposal creation and that application is far better. The only reason we moved to Sell is that it has leasing capability.

Myself and another team member use Quosal to generate proposal for our MSP practice. I use the software 5 to 10 times a week.
  • I like that I can access QuosalOne from a web browser anywhere and continue my work.
  • I like the real time integration into my CRM and distributors.
  • I like the way Quosal gives a real professional look and feel to our proposals.
  • I'd like to have the ability to customize the product a bit more, however I know that's a limitation of QuosalOne over the full Quosal application.
  • I've not learned to navigate the help and support effectively yet. I think my answers are out there and it's more on me than the software.
I think the software is fantastic for delivering project, product, and recurring service proposals.

  • We are certainly spending less time creating better proposals than with our previous tools.
  • We are closing more proposals faster with QuosalOne.
  • Our quoting tool expense tripled (we were paying very little to begin with, so this is not to say the tool is expensive) and it has been worth every penny we've spent in increased productivity, professional appearance, and ease of quoting/closing deals.
We had used QuoteWerks in the past. It was a good tool, but couldn't give us the flexibility that QuosalOne does. We had to update the software (QuoteWerks) on our systems and run patches on computers that had the full install on it. Now we just open a browser and do business, anywhere, anytime. We are on a SaaS model now, so the maintenance is done for us. Also the ability to create visually appealing quotes is much easier. Maybe it could have been done on the other platform, but the level of effort is minimal in QuosalOne to produce very nice proposals.
Yes
We replaced QuoteWerks with QuosalOne. As ConnectWise completed the purchase of Quosal in early 2016, I saw deeper levels of integration coming and wanted to enjoy the added efficiency. We rely deeply on ConnectWise to run our business and want to use the tools that integrate with it the best. Quosal is that tool in the quoting/proposal world.

I don't think I would. The reasonable pricing and integration with ConnectWise were a deal closer for me.

Quosal provides quotes and sales management for over 300 proposals per month. I can't disclose the exact numbers but it's in the millions as to what we quote per month. It's being used throughout the company, from executive management all the way down to the customer service representatives. Its strength is the quick nature in which we can prepare and deliver a quote in a really professional way. Its weakness are the bugs that pop up from now and then but they usually get fixed in the monthly Quosal updates.
  • Professional looking documents delivered to customers.
  • The speed of rate in which we can turn a phone call to a quote to a opportunity to a win.
  • The accessibility from accessing our quotes on the web via a secure connection. Giving us the ability to look at quotes on our iPads and smartphones.
  • The ability to link to our CRM system which is on the exact page as Quosal.
  • There are bugs that seem to pop up every now and then but they are usually corrected within the monthly updates.
  • The database structure and API to our CRM has flaws in it that are due to the limitations of the CRM API.
  • We sometimes come in to the software being down after an update that happens overnight.
  • Quosal is a west coast company and they pawn their support off to their sister CRM company in the morning. Those support reps are usually clueless and give you wrong answers so its always best to wait till 11am EST to get a Quosal rep.
Quosal is well suited for VARs or managed services companies. But all non-retail companies could benefit from using it. It depends on what you are selling and how you sell it. You can customize the proposals as much as you want and really implement your own companies policy into them but...you only get out of it, what you put into it.

  • Positive - Faster quote processing leading to better visibility.
  • Negative - Poor reporting forcing us to use SSRS to create our own custom reports.
  • Middle of the Road - It always seems like some of the issues that pop up are always super visible since they stick out.
Quosal is a far superior product than QuoteWerks. It took some getting used to but after you get comfortable with Quosal and keep an open mind you will see that there is no comparison. It took some people a day to realize it, some people a year (everyone is different and hates change).

Everyone from customer service to executive management uses Quosal throughout the company. It seems everyone needs to have a little piece of Quosal in order to do their jobs.

Quosal is here to stay until something comes along that is better. Currently nothing on the market has its strength or power for serious companies.
Yes
Quosal replaced QuoteWerks in our organization and we have never looked back. It was the right decision for us. There will always be users that have used a product forever and they know nothing else. People have a tendency to resist change, but if Quosal is implemented right, your company can grow by 25% or more in sales. But you have to dedicate someone to it full time, creating templates, modifying the database when issues arise, supporting and training users.

Probably the seamless integration with our new CRM Connectwise was our deciding factor. But Quosal's API can link to other CRMs like Autotask or Dynamics or Netsuite etc.
If we had to do it all over again I just wish I knew then what I know now as far as technical knowledge. The people in your company implementing and deploying should really be super ramped up on their knowledge before implementation. This would have of saved us headaches if we just were a little more knowledgeable.
  • Implemented in-house
Yes
We did a slow rollout and let people get their feet wet before diving in.
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled
It was ok.
  • Issues we didnt expect.
  • The change to our lives on a day to day basis.
  • The push back from users who hated change. This happens with all software implementations.
Wished I was better trained and more knowledgeable before we deployed.
Have to wait till 11pm EST time to get someone knowledgeable. That sucks truly. Almost half my day is gone. They need to provide premium support, where I can contact a "real" Quosal rep, anytime of the day or night 24/7.
Yes
I have reported a lot of bugs. Sometimes they get fixed quickly. Other times it takes awhile, as expected with any software company.
Well, when I was at IT Nation, I sat down with a developer and he actually fixed things as I spoke. That was cool and exceptional. I wish it was that way all the time but I take what I can get.
  • Quoting.
  • Winning a quote.
  • Analyzing what's out there as far as quotes.
  • Statements of Work but that might be because of us.
  • Item notes have become an issue and are cumbersome sometimes, especially when selling Dell.
Yes
It works pretty good on Ipads and on smartphones. Everything you can do on a laptop you can do on mobile.
It's an 9. Not a 10. No software package is a 10. None!! If a software package was a ten then it wouldn't ever be updated. Quosal has its flaws like everything else but it's not bad at all.
