What is Consensus?

Consensus is an Intelligent Demo Automation Platform built to enable buyers by scaling presales with interactive video demos. Presales and technical sales teams automate repetitive product demos which allows them to reallocate that time to higher value activities. Buyers get a tailored demo — one that guides them with digital, interactive and on-demand video demos. This in turn helps sellers uncover additional stakeholders and eliminates unqualified demos, which in turn brings both sides to the table ready to talk specifics when live calls occur.


Consensus Intelligent Demo Automation is a platform built to shorten the sales cyle by focusing on enabling the buyer with demo content they want by scaling presales. Sales reps send presales-created content on demand from demo libraries and leverage analytics to align buyer stakeholders based on persona priorities and specific value propositions. Elements of this platform include: Interactive Video Demos: Videos recorded by SEs and SCs that are uploaded into Consensus. Sales reps share demos from integrations or Chrome extensions and buyers personalize their experience by ranking features based on relevance and eliminting unwanted noise. Interactive Product Tours: Consensus allows reps to create tours that allow buyers to click through the most important parts of the solution and receive additional information via text guides and video explainers. Demolytics: Analytics that provide insights into buyer intent and stakeholder engagement with heat maps and persona-level view data.

Our company relies heavily on the use of Consensus for presales and throughout the sales process. It's great for sending demos, speeding up close times, getting visibility on key stakeholders and interests and also helps reduce the number of live demos required. I also use it for recording 'how to' situations, going through proposals or just intro calls to customers. It's a great all rounder that really supports the sales team at their own pace.

If you are sending an email to a customer, you can click the plug in and select a demo, it'll automatically include the people you're sending the email to and attach to the email. You can then track when and how they've viewed it. I also love the feature that allows you to attach it to the op on Salesforce, which will then pull the contacts from the op and autoattach it. It's a huge time saver.

Consensus was already in place when I joined the Access Group. However, the business needed a centralized platform to store and share video content with prospects.

Consensus was a great fit as it allows us to do this quickly and effectively via their Chrome and Outlook extension and also integrations into our CRM system.

There have been a few situations in the past where we have only engaged 1 person from an organisation. However with the share feature Consensus offer to viewers it has allowed us to discover who else would be involved with the project.

Pre demo stage we have been able to share long form video content with the prospects and easily identify what sections of the video are being watched multiple times. Based on this info we have been able to tailor our demos as it shows whats important to them.

Our organization uses Consensus to create, tailor and track recorded meetings, demoboards, or highlight specific points on our products. My team specifically uses Consensus on a weekly basis- we often create new content for our sales team to use during prospecting/pre-sales then and post-sale.
  • The ability to tailor demos and demoboards to show various functionality of the product.
  • We appreciate the features Consensus has to customize demos in various forms.
  • The customer service and post-sales trainings the Consensus team has held for our company have been extremely beneficial. I personally appreciated learning how demos are better received when they're not 'perfect'
  • Although Consensus offers many options for customization, I would like to see some additional features that could be customized.
  • The ability to track demo and demoboard performance offers many valuable insights I would like to see more granular tracking options/metrics.
Most recently, my team has wanted to convey the ease of use of our product and with its many facets. With this in mind we made a targeted demoboard for our sales team to help during disco/pre-sales. This has allowed my team to then tailor live demos based on the performance of the demo.

This is a great tool that is absolutely essential to our sales process. We often share recordings and demo's so this is a great sales enablement tool to help with our customers. As an organisation we use this tool daily and it is key to communications between customers and prospective customers. Easy to use and capable of holding any videos and content that is crucial to send in an attractive format for our sales process.

When I have used Consensus the most is for Sales enablement and customers reviewing recordings and specialist areas of the product. Often someone is unable to attend our meeting or we need to include a global audience, so by being able to get our demonstrations across to a wider group AND track how they are interacting with that content is key to our sales process.

I use Consensus daily. I will record meetings and send them to the offices but also, I create short videos to send to customers. I also use Consensus ad a training tool to learn about new products from my peers. This has been a great tool to lean on for our organization.

We use Consensus to help us engage with our customers more when sharing content.

It's so much better to be able to see how our customers have interacted with our content, and when. This way we can react more appropriately.

Overall, the difference in our interactions with our customers now has increased tenfold.

Consensus helps our organization in structuring customer demos while helping the prospects make streamlines decisions, fostering collaboration with transparency. Most uses of Consensus in our organization are customer facing personnel such as Customer Success managers, sales and also presales team members. Thanks to the scalable and flexible capabilities of Consensus , our teams are able to create unique and personalized demos. Consensus also acts as a repository where we can store demos and reuse the demos as demo boards. Further to these, Consensus also provides us with important demolytics which helps us in our sales life cycles and decision making. We also use Consensus as a collaborative tool for our teams. Over all it has been a helpful tool in our organizations digital selling initiatives.

Consensus is ideal to create customer faced demos because it helps has the feedback tab which allows is to collect user information as well as demolytics of users and their feedback. it is also suitable to vision or micro demos.

It is also ideal for enablement and trainings, which reduces classroom type work shops time and cost while increasing the flexibility offered to students to follow sorted courses at their own timeline. however Consensus might not be mostly suitable to upload lard scale technical demos as we have experienced it giving errors. Therefore with future enhancements I believe this more be a much more flexible and scalable product.

Consensus is used by my organisation to send demo videos to prospects, through Consensus we have the ability to personalise and tailor demos for each organisation, we can add custom and personalised videos to the start or duration of any demo, Consensus also alerts us when a prospect has viewed the content we have shared

Our software solution is more technical than most, and has specific value across a multitude of verticals. It’s difficult to communicate the technical nuances that benefit certain industries. Our engineers are on high demand, and instead of having them take time to highlight the value of our solution each time we engage them with a prospect, we’re able to share the Consensus videos prior to their engagement and cover the “50,000 ft overview” via the short videos and find more value in technical discovery as it pertains to a specific use case. It has helped us expedite the sales process and enables our prospects to learn about our solution at their convenience. There are also stats that speak to viewings, sharing of videos, and allows the prospects to select what areas of the solution are most important to them for additional insights. Very powerful tool for our sales and sales engineering departments.
