Cornerstone [onDemand] is currently our Learning Management System across the whole system. We use it to deploy large-scale compliance training to all employees. We also use it to offer general training via Linked In Learning, Skillsoft, and homegrown training courses. It has been successful in all of those areas.

Cornerstone [onDemand] has been a wonderful addition to our University. We have used it to roll out large-scale compliance training and to track those completions/incompletions. The performance piece, formerly known as WingSpan does provide a host of options for overall employee performance management. It is being used across the entire organization. Having this tool available helps with employee development and increased productivity. When employees set goals and can monitor their progress towards achievement, they are more motivated to excel, in turn performing higher. Overall, it is a good tool for employee performance monitoring.

Employee performance monitoring. Set goals for specific areas to improve as well as areas that employee excels in. Also allows both supervisor and employee to make comments in the respective areas being reviewed. We have used Cornerstone to manage learning (since 2011) and recruiting since 2015 and are configuring others available modules. The learning module helps us to manage training expiration dates (mandatory by regulations/certification) and to provide e-learning to end users. Recruitment processes were not centralised but handled by individual business units via HR business partners. This resulted in varying recruitment standards across the company and inconsistent ways of working. Hiring requests were made via paper and had to be discussed at weekly meetings, with managers having to physically sign papers for recruitment approval. Luxair wanted to simplify and reduce HR administration to help the rest of the Luxair business better understand HR processes and to contribute to the overall efficiency of the company. We also wanted to improve our employer brand by using a modern and powerful website
  • Cornerstone offered us the best opportunity to utilise the same provider for the whole of the employee lifecycle.
  • High levels of cooperation between Cornerstone and us also aided the easy configuration of the system. Whenever we faced any particular difficulties, Cornerstone was able to organise a workshop to demonstrate how to address and overcome them.

We use Cornerstone Learning across our entire organization. We use it to implement training initiatives for things like safety, sales, leadership, and compliance. With 18,000 + employees, it is important for us to be able to track each individual's learning progress, and the Cornerstone LMS helps us with this business problem.

  • It offers the ability to do online training, or also track face to face, on the job training.
  • It's continuously improving with new features to keep up with the growing demand for online learning.
  • Rather simple admin interface.
  • Some things are too intricate to set up. Emails, for example, are very time-intensive when you are trying to set up 20 reminder emails for training, and you have to do each one individually, instead of copying and pasting.
  • Missing functionality of being able to merge employee files, and include any documents you attached in one of the files. This is a big hardship for us.
  • I wish users could assign training using a checklist type page. Many people want to be able to assign things in bulk.
We are creating content like crazy and it's so nice to have a place where we can publish all videos and trainings with ease. People can look for what they need or what they want to assign with ease. Tracking and reporting analytics are also great and they are making great strides with their new Reporting 2.0 functionality. You cannot track to make sure videos are watched to the very end, which I feel would be helpful, especially compliance wise.

It is being used across the entire system of over 30,000 employees, vendors, and external consultants. We are beginning the process for the extended enterprise license in order to allow nonprofits to use our system for their needs. Cornerstone addresses the need for reporting, content, certifications, licensing credit hours, and a learning experience platform that entices users to take courses.

I personally think Cornerstone is only suited for large organizations that have a great need for extensive reporting and tracking. This is really great for compliance tracking with a company of over 2,000 employees.

Cornerstone Learning is a very powerful and useful system with what seems like endless possibilities. I particularly love the customer success centre. This resource has been a lifesaver when navigating the new system. I feel Cornerstone does a great job of providing their customers with tons of resources and tools.

I think Cornerstone Learning is great for larger organizations working to streamline and improve their learning experience. However, If you have team members who are comfortable with technology and accessing information in this manner it should not be an issue!

We use Cornerstone for the whole organization but only in Europe so far. However, we plan to also implement the system at our other subsidiaries in the world. Cornerstone helps us to manage recruiting, learning, performance, and succession in only one system instead of buying a system for recruiting, another system for learning, and so on.

Sometimes specific requirements can be fulfilled but it's not possible to customize everything how you want it.

Cornerstone OnDemand is being used by the entire organization to fulfill the growing learning needs of the company. The tool, while being a game-changer, has some archaic features which can potentially make it second best in comparison to several other competitors.

We use it to register customers for instructor led courses, events that we have for our external customers as well. We also use it for storing their training records for any courses or certifications they have take thru us. We use it for signing up customers for virtual training via Zoom. We also have them take online courses. The product is also used for internal employees as well to get their much needed professional development hours.

We have tried and failed to use other platforms. Cornerstone has been a success! We love that they listen to users' feedback and are constantly innovating for the future of work. The LMS is easy to use and helps support our employees growth and development. There are endless sources of content which Cornerstone connects us with and our employees love. On the admin side the reporting capabilities is a great tool. We look forward to the future together.

Reporting 2.0 is relatively easy to use and provides insight into development. We love playlist on leaning - although we would love to see more reporting ability on that side.

I like the platform and It is easy to use interface. I appreciate the way the systems feed into each other and provide a seamless appearance for our end users. They do offer 'office hours' for admins to sign up for and call into for a more hands on problem solving approach.

The customer service when there are errors can be difficult to navigate. As admins, we are often left to figure issues out on their own. Often pointed to their online help and forums for assistance instead of expert guidance to quickly address an issue.

In my organization, we use Cornerstone to roll out the performance for the year. We also use it for our in-house and LinkedIn learnings. For the learning, we have an integration with LinkedIn such that employees go into the LinkedIn courses and receive certificates, but through Cornerstone. We use Cornerstone for our recruitments

We have been using Cornerstone Learning since 2015. All students, staff, faculty, guests, and contractors can use it. Cornerstone has helped us reduce duplicate training, assign training to complex groups of people, deliver training easily and efficiently, report on compliance, easily use APIs, and make sure employees can continue their performance development.
  • They genuinely care about their customers success with the product.
  • Their tier 1 support is top notch.
  • When they update a piece of functionality, they LISTEN to recommendations given by the people who use [it] regularly.
  • The groups tool is antiquated and in need of an update pretty badly.
  • Tier 2 support is hit or miss. I have had several escalated tickets this year that have been very frustrating to resolve due to the tech it reading notes, asking me questions I've provided, not digging into the issue before responding.
  • They have a space called Suggestion City where customers can submit ideas on how to improve upon the functionality and can be upvoted by the community. I would like to see more of an effort to address the things that have been out there for years and have the most votes.
We have had a lot of success delivering training to 60k plus employees and allowing us to consume completion data to easily share across units. We have also used it to deliver synchronous training for very specific, large-scale projects. Our Med Center is dependent on it to deliver training to our medical professionals on a timely basis.

  • the CSM model has changed and we have gone through 4 CSMs in 2 years.
Cornerstone is a great product for companies needed a robust learning product. It works great with performance and compensation. The recruiting module has a way to go.

Cornerstone is well suited for our organization as 50% of our employees use a mobile device to connect via LEARN application. But it is less appropriate as the knowledge assessment is not yet applicable on Learn Application. But we crossed our fingers for having the assessment visible on a mobile device.

We use Cornerstone [OnDemand] for learning and performance, we have used it the past 2 years to do our annual PDR's and objective settings. One thing that we have struggled with is using Cornerstone [OnDemand] to do our training needs analysis.

Cornerstone [OnDemand] is really good for the Performance side, there are lots of additional functionality that can be enabled such as skills, competencies etc. I think the Learning side still needs some work, as we haven't successfully worked out a way to do our training needs analysis easily, also the Edge Import process is long winded and over complicated, when wanting to upload historic training records.

We are using Cornerstone OnDemand for our Learning, Performance Management, ATS, and Compensation systems. It is being used across the organization and it is addressing our need to have a holistic HRIS system.
  • User friendly, ease of use for both managers and employees
  • Allows us to integrate all of our HR needs into 1 system
  • It's search and sort options in Performance Management can be improved, more options to sort evaluations outside of using reporting
  • Customer service needs live people behind it.
Cornerstone OnDemand is a reasonably priced HR suite of products that is well suited for medium-sized organizations that want more powerful, modern options vs. what they currently have, which could be outdated and expensive to upgrade.

We use Cornerstone OnDemand to help other non-profits grow their organizations and reach through the use of the Learning module. With the use of CSOD, non-profits are able to not only move their training programs online, but also reach more individuals since they are not limited to a certain region. We also utilize a robust Professional Development catalog that lets non-profits offer more training than before for their targeted users.
  • Hosting, launching, and tracking online training
  • Robust reporting on almost anything in the system
  • Very customizable platform
  • Ability to easily separate and group users
  • Could be more mobile-friendly
  • Some user interfaces (like ILT) still need improvement
  • Odd permission/data rules that can make tasks more difficult
Cornerstone OnDemand is great for any organization looking to move their training online and offer a one-stop shop for individuals. The robust reporting allows organizations and admins to see how training is being utilized and continue to roll out training that meets the needs and interests of the end users. There are many customization options that allow organizations to provide users with structured/required training and on-demand/asynchronous training that keep the organization moving forward as a whole.

We're currently using CSOD's Learning Module company-wide as the system of record for all mandatory and compliance tracking. Thru existing partnerships with LinkedIn Learning and CSOD's Content Anywhere the system is also an integral part of our employee and talent management development strategies.
  • The platform is extremely configurable allowing the flexibility to support multiple business cases.
  • Cost effective.
  • Good reporting functionality.
  • Help desk processes need to be more efficient
  • Addition of OJT and Observation checklists as part of the Learning Module. You currently need a Performance subscription which doesn't make sense as these are critical training modalities needed on the Learning side.
  • Sometimes it's all about the money to get the level of customer service you expect. Why should you have to pay for a higher-priced support plan to get what I define as expected service levels?
CSOD is well-positioned for small to mid-sized companies with standardized processes but tends to have difficulties supporting large international companies with very dementalized processes, languages, etc.

Up to recently, we were using Cornerstone OnDemand mainly for annual reviews [and] competency assessment.
We are now in the process to use it as API for internal and external candidates, learning hosting platform, and learning assignation follow-up.
  • Customer care: relationship with our account manager is really fluid and fruitful, especially when developing and integrating new functionalities.
  • Onboarding process, really didactic for new comers and appreciated.
  • Reduce the number of clicks: for competencies bank management, it is necessary to save twice at least before submitting any modification.
  • Allow sorting by different means (names, ID etc), by default competencies are listed by alphabetical order which for our particular field is not the most convenient.
I put 6 because I don't have the necessary feedback for other HRIS software providers to make a comparison.

Cornerstone OnDemand is used by our organization on a business-wide level. This impacts all areas of the business. We are currently using Cornerstone OnDemand as a way to centralize our learning platforms. This solves the user experience for learning in the organization. We do not currently use it for much compliance training.

Cornerstone OnDemand has made some strides in making the platform better, but they have so much farther to go and they are a slow-moving behemoth when it comes to adding new features that are in other platforms already. Their customer success reps are the best and really know the platform and the system. Their learning program to educate yourself on how to use the system is also incredibly stellar.
