Individual record lookup is extremely fast. You can run into problems though when dealing with query nodes. Query nodes seem to try and answer all requests at the same time rather than having a maximum number of requests it will work on at a time. This can cause issues when the query nodes get behind.

We have had our Couchbase cluster running for over 5 years, and it has given us very few headaches. It has mostly just sat there and keep chugging away.

We have had to add storage and additional resources as our needs have changed, but the cluster itself has performed very well for us.

While it has some great capabilities, if the developers don't have the n1ql knowledge or understand how to properly connect to the data, there can be very unique issues that are hard to identify. I recommend free online training sessions for developers who use this that ends with a certificate qualifying them to develop to it. This would really help the CB database Support team.

Access to JSON data is very fast and with great performance. It is less fast if you have to gather data from different tables.

Its performance is really good when handling unstructured datasets. It also works very well with a lot of data, bringing increased capabilities to the big data tools we use. Its speed is amazing with large volumes of data.

Intuitive GUI makes view statistic, administration, managing cluster very easy just one click like installing software and couch base manages all your need in the background. applying the CQRS pattern you can improve the performance because it´s a way to separate reads and writes, in this combination using indexing Couchbase is very fast and stable.

So far the performance has been great. We do not notice much slowdown for any of our queries or data. The only time we notice slowness is when the game teams want to be extremely granular with their search queries on our CB index nodes. Usually the complexity of their searches are not necessary and we can help them simplify

I am more than satisfied with its excellent performance. The command-line tools are really easy to use for performing various tasks, and also it’s increasing my productivity at work to a greater extent. Moreover, the setup of this product is easy and also quite understandable, which doesn’t require any specific training.

Speed, scalability and reliability - the holy trinity that only Couchbase can provide.

It's predominantly the high data volumes and operations that we were most astonished by. Having hundreds of client operations per second on a single record is quite remarkable. Now multiply that by billions of records.

Excellent in handling high data volumes both horizontally (large-sized documents) and vertically (a large number of documents). XDCR is easy to use and allows for easy migration planning from one cluster to another for upgrades, etc. Indexes can be simple or super complex and allow you really pinpoint bottlenecks in the data querying and speed up reporting.

Very easy to scale horizontally. Document replication takes care of the rest of the things. Even when nodes go down document replication takes care of data reliability aspects. It's easier to scale down as well when there is a decrease in demand to save costs. The configuration management for scaling up or down is very minimal.
