So far, the way that we mange and upgrade our clusters has be very smooth. It works like a dream when we use it in concert with AWS and their EC2 machines. Having access to powerful instances along side the Couchbase interface is amazing and allows us to do rebalances or maintenance without a worry

I am giving this rating because of the integration power of the product is enough capable to make me facilitate by working simultaneously on different applications. Another thing that I mostly prefer in it is its consistent performance that helps in a flexible layout of my databases in a significant way. All these features are useful and productive in a daily routine workflow.

Thanks to its microservice-based architecture, it is a very scalable product. It is practically an automatic process and does not require excessive technological knowledge.

On the server-side, the indexing capabilities and simplicity of just expanding the number of nodes and services are incredibly easy and highly decreases the overhead behind day to day DevOps. On the client, the SDKs are very flexible and abstracted out in a way that they are extendable and easy to consume.

Very easy to scale horizontally. Document replication takes care of the rest of the things. Even when nodes go down document replication takes care of data reliability aspects. It's easier to scale down as well when there is a decrease in demand to save costs. The configuration management for scaling up or down is very minimal.

We have run games with tens of thousands of concurrents without problems. We never had to scale past 6 nodes, but realize that with competing for data engines we would have to probably have a much heavier infrastructure to achieve similar results.

We have been growing in this database for the past 3+ years now and it does a good job of scaling up without too much difficulty/effort involved. In addition, the vendor provides excellent support when it comes to configuration and scaling up support. We have not had any real setbacks during the scaling up process.

Very scalable. Needs more capacity - spin out new EC2s and add them to the cluster. All within minutes, all on a live database. Similarly - you realized you're spending too much on database servers while having more than enough RAM - downsize your EC2s or simply take some out one by one without interrupting the cluster.

It is very easy to add more nodes to the Couchbase cluster. This allows us to add and remove nodes according to the load on the site. Especially since we work in a domain with a lot of change between seasons.Couchbase session allows us to easily add more servers to our app cluster for the same reason.

Couchbase supports multidimensional scaling. Queries, indices, and data can be scaled separately without a performance drop.
Hence, complex queries can be executed, unlimited indices can be created for a suite of queries, and data can be scaled across multiple nodes. This approach supports multiple hardware types.
